Police Station Attacked!

  • Police say an intoxicated man drove his car into an exterior concrete wall at the Gresham District police station on the 7800 block of South Halsted Street early Monday morning.

Nobody was injured, Chicago Police News Affairs

Now imagine that was a Vehicle I.E.D. If a drunk can get close enough to hit the building, imagine someone intent on harm.

In regards to the new order on CAPTAINS now being “Executive Officers”.

The department is attempting to rewrite the way district law enforcement is structured so the city can save a few bucks.

The new “Station House Supervisors” will primarily be lieutenants. However, if there is a shortage of lieutenants from the area a sergeant will be assigned as the Station Supervisor.

NOW, PAY ATTENTION ALL OF YOU CITY HALL RATS THAT READ THIS BLOG.

For those of you political hacks that think we are just moronic half-wits let me remind you of this: MONEY is the only incentive any working stiff has.
What do you think we feed our families with?
Swelled up egos that you bastards have?

The current lieutenants that are assigned as the regular “Watch Commanders” are happy to take the assignment because they receive
“D-5 / Captain’s OUT OF GRADE pay “.

If you think you can just place a lieutenant or a sergeant in the same spot and just CHANGE the name to some bullshit position of “Station Supervisor” and just pay them LT’s or sergeant’s pay, let me give you the fucking wakeup call jack; these white shirts won’t give a fucking shit about anything pal.

If you want to see the integrity of the Chicago Police go down the shitter, GO AHEAD, place a sergeant in the former watch commander’s chair and don’t pay him for it.
Put a patrolman in the desk sergeants and let him he’s a “bonding officer”.

This job will be run like a White Castle restaurant with a bunch of pissed off customers.

I for one will enjoy watching the City of SHIT-CAGO BURN to the FUCKING GROUND in MAY of 2012 you fucking BASTARDS.

What if this, what if that... If someone wants to do harm, they will find a way, no matter the barriers you may put in their way. Car, truck, semi, garbage truck, armored car, etc. Why even get a vehicle? Put it in a shopping bag, backpack, etc. and walk it in and leave. Amateurs.

Police buildings in Chicago were NOT built to be secure buildings.

Costs to modernize (securitize) them are not in the budget.

Building donations to put concertina wire around the buildings will be taken at the next 3 roll calls.

Have your money ready.

yes, you can imagine an I.E.D. but I hope that you believe it's not very likely. I can imagine nothing good that would come from being prepared for such an attack.

Common SCC. Weis told us that there is no ampunt of physical security that you can install that would prevent that type of activity (VBIED) from happening.

/sarcasm off

Pay attention to your surroundings and watch out for each other. That is the only defense we have left. No one. REPEAT. No one, uncluding the command staff cares about our well being. It's up to us.

Be safe and HAPPY SCREW YEAR!!!

Police station attacked? Are you nuts? It was a traffic accident with a drunken driver.
What if it was an I.E.D., yea right, I'm sure that police station is a top priority for an IED. Never mind O'Hare airport, financial markets, federal building, city hall
What if it was a smart bomb, maybe all the housecats should now have to carry a gas mask and wear protective clothing in the station.
Maybe the city should raze a 2 block area around each station and have the air national guard provide 24 hours air support

ATTENTION Sears and Kmart Shoppers

GUESS WHAT?

We're closing 120 stores and we're going to use the Illinois tax breaks to pay for severance and golden parachute packages.

The Illinois money is not creating or saving jobs -- it's rewarding executives for hanging onto failed business practices.

120 stores sounds like such a small number in the big scheme of things though eh?

How about reporting it in the number of jobs that are going to be lost! I'd suspect that the average Sears or K-Mart employes around 100 employee per store don't you think? Okay let's say it's half that 50. Fifty times one-hundred twenty is 6,000.

So it's pretty fair to say that we're looking at between 6,000 and 12,000 layoffs and that's just the beginning.

Remember, Sears just reported that earnings for the 4th quarter were less then HALF as much as they were one year ago.

4th quarter holiday sales are what retail stores bank on to run the business and it's a very telling tale.

Guess What Else?

Meanwhile the other Illinois tax break outfit Motorola Mobility, that was being purchased by Google, is stuck in purgatory as the EU files antitrust allegations.

Guess What Else?

What we got for the CME tax break was a CME cut in school charity funds from the CME as the CME bails out the MF Global frauds. Frauds where MF Global stole money from customers accounts to gamble with.

Follow the money trail!

We're covering up frauds and failed business models. Using taxpayers money to create an illusion of brilliant hard working executives that we should place on a pedestal of worship calling them the oh-so deserving "productive class" Like the Daleys ya know. We have to be beholding to these people and glorify them for all that they have done.

We are so obligated...don't you feel obligated..? heh.

I was in Sally's restaurant on Harlem this morning. As I walked in I noticed cement and steel posts embedded in the ground and positioned in such a manner as to prevent anyone from driving a car into the front door. Just think. A pancake house takes better security measures than a police station in the City of Chicago!

Who said?
-Never Lead by example because you should just supervise! This way if they fuck up, no worries because they can't blame you and though you will gain no respect from the men and women since you are a non-leader just a supervisor, you will be safe from the fear of not being promoted since you never fucked up by making any real decisions or getting involved to help the "help"!

When a Sgt goes to a scene, at times they see PO's not taking charge or backing off waiting for their supervisor to handle their job. That may be why most supervisors sit back and wait until they are needed.

Also, the "citizen" will stop talking to the "blue shirt" and immediately want to talk to the "white shirts". As a PO I didnt need a Sgt to handle my calls. In the rare occasions the caller wouldnt believe I knew the law, I would reluctantly call the Sgt to back up what I already did/said. You get paid to know laws and procedures. Don't expect others to always do your job for you.

Not too long ago, Sgts would tell you "Dont call me". Times have changed. Sgts will be there, just dont take that to mean you cant make a decision.....

Not every report needs to state "Beat 2610 Sgt onscene".

Enough said.....

Call me if you need me.......
