Reckless homicide charges were filed today against a West Side man who allegedly struck and killed a Cook County correctional officer as she was about to begin her overnight shift at Cook County Jail.
Juan Bello, 57, of the 2900 block of West 25th Street, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and reckless homicide. He was also cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian, going too fast for conditions and driving on a revoked license.
State records show Bello's driver's license was revoked in 2010 after his second DUI arrest.

Because he is Hispanic does not make him illegal...igonoramous. Especially if he once had a license. An illegal can't obtain a driver's license. This goof should be executed for leaving the scene, not because he is Latino.

With much anger I was checking the other blog. Shaved... And found many derogatory remarks labeled from cpd. About this fallen officer and c/o's.. thats relly messed up because since 2000 when the fuckers that killed one of you guys they got dealt with everyday in the jail by the same c/o's that cpd so much hates...Im pretty sure its gotta be some asshole thats not even cpd..at least i would hope so.
How about throwing these people in jail for a year when caught driving on DUI revocation. Blame some of the traffic court judges who drop the no license ticket or reduce it to a ten dollar fine. Of course make sure that they pay the Crook County fines. Maybe if these people start killing judges' and politicians' family members in traffic crashes then they would have a grasp on reality. Defeats the whole purpose of traffic laws if judges are willing to cut corners cause they let there heartfelt liberal emotions get in the way.
Fleeing the scene is standard operating procedure in Mexico. Witnessed it several times myself, one time invoving a pedestrian death. Old habits die hard.

Anita Alverez will not prosecute. Years ago she made it clear that Latinos were prosecuted at a high rate for dui, but that will stop on her watch. Ask any copper from 010. Asa's will put together a flawed case so dude can walk. Thanks Anita!

If I was the sheriffs family I woul sue Juan and the city as an accessory for creaTing the sanctuary city, haven for illegals. If we offer sanctuary the city itself peommpted and initiated the tragic chain of events that killed the sherrif. No sanctuary, hence no illegal juan, hence no accident, hence sheriff wouldbe alive.
In my long career and many 6-303 and 6-101 arrests, I have only seen one guy do any time and that was for his 4 DUI arrest and a suspended D/L. All others slapped on the wrist and let go with the Judge saying not to drive again.

In the past three years I have put five 6-303 offenders in prison, one for two years, one got 6 months in CCJ, the others for one year. All had been suspended for DUI's, some had multiple DUI convictions and multiple suspensions or revocations.
The only thing needed to prove was were they driving the car. That established guilt and mandatory prison time by statute. A white guy who worked at the board of trade or stock market laughed at it all for 9 months of court appearances, until he got the 6 months and went to 2600 S California to make some new friends.
One DUI I never saw again, he got multiple felonies including forgery for the phony IL DL. I suspect he got deported. ICE found him somehow.
My Father was a CPD Sgt with 33 yrs on. Was on his way home from work and was plowed into head-on by a drunk. Not his first DUI, and his reckless homicide conviction only got him 3 years, only serving 18 mos. Justice indeed!

You can be an illegal alien, drive, be ticketed by the policia, and then in turn be issued an Illinois DL number through the SOS without even having a license. I get these all the time in the suburbs. They just issued him a DL number on his non existant DL number that was issued by the state due to previous tickets. So in theory he could be illegal or he could be legal, the only people that know are the investigating officers who have his SOS print out in front of them.
Who was the judge presiding over his second DUI court appearance? Why was this idiot out among the population when he should have been locked up? Maybe someone should start publishing the names of the judges and states attorney who are involved in such cases. Maybe if they start seeing their names associated with such tragedy, they might stop all this politically correct bullshit and actually enforce the laws.

Why bother? Attempt to sue Juan and he runs back across the boarder. Juan's remaining family then tries to get the press riled up accusing you of being a racist.
Try and sue the city and.......well you might see some compensation before you die.
