No Honor Among Thieves

How could this happen? Oh wait...we know exactly how:
  • A Chicago alderman’s office on the Southwest Side has been burglarized, and thieves made off with an air conditioner, three computers, and a TV.

Ald. Ricardo Munoz (22nd) said he feels “violated” after someone broke in through the front door of his ward office at 2500 S. St. Louis Av., sometime between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

When burglars broke into Anthony "Big Tuna" Accardo's home, justice was meted out harshly. Might we see the aldercreature's unsavory supporters attempting to "make good" on some ne'er-do-wells in Little Village?

I tried to post this as a comment on to on-line Trib story but I do not have a Facebook account and couldn't do it. If someone wants to copy this and post it go ahead, the Sun-Times isn't carrying the Munoz burglary story, probably because it says we don't have enough cops anymore.

Alderman Munoz you are a BIG part of the problem with this city. You have allowed Daley/Weis and Rahm/McCarthy to decimate the Chicago Police Department so they could spend taxpayer's money on their (and your) friends. You want to not only cut the number of police officers but also want to cut their pay and benefits and you still expect them to "Serve and Protect" at the same level. That level has been going down for years Mr. Munoz, doing more with less doesn’t work.

If you feel violated, imagine what a Chicago Police officer feels every shift, dwindling back-up, lacking equipment and worst of all management that flows from an arrogant bully from New York who was brought in as a Hatchetman. I am sure you will have Detectives working overtime to find the offenders and get your computers back; God knows what is on those hard drives. I am also sure that you will demand a "Special Attention" on your office. Would any ordinary taxpayer get that?

You are part of the problem Mr. Munoz, HIRE MORE POLICE and GET RID OF McCARTHY.

I am happy here someone brought up the Kings comments. I know a King from this gym I workout at who once told me this alderman "takes care of us(LK's)"

I said; How? What do you mean?
To which he replied: "You know, man... keeps the heat off our back and shit." True Story!
