And August Isn't Done Yet

Last we heard, we stood at about 55 murders. Whoops - 56?
  • A teenage boy was shot dead in front of his mother Friday in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

Jalen Stogner, 17, and his mother were at a laundromat in the 4800 block of South Ashland Avenue when Stogner got into a verbal fight with a man about 4:20 p.m., officials said.

The man pulled out a gun and shot Stogner in the chest, police said, adding that the shooting appeared to be gang-related.

And the woundings kept rolling in:

  • A 15-year-old girl walking home from school was shot in the abdomen Friday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, officials and family said.

Telissa Shields was walking with a friend when she was caught in crossfire in the 4200 block of West Wilcox Street around 11 a.m., according to family and a police source.
Keep your eyes open for a final tally shortly.

No worries, Jalen Stogner was turning his life around, when he decided to challenge local gangbangers into a shouting match. They shouted back with some bullets. On monday he was going to go and expunge that Agg UUW from last year. Oh well.....

The feds are merely a diversion from the reality of not hiring more police officers to meet 13,500sworn officers level.

Each week in the affected areas people are shot or killed due to the increasing violence.

The feds are not going to reduce this increase in violence.

The voters will get their say so in the next mayoral election-bye -bye Rhamn Emmanuel:(

"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I expect the same from them."
Now if we bothered to live like that everything would be just fine.

From a city to the south of Chi-Town, I have a very simple solution to your violence problem....Tell the gang-bangers that it is illegal to own a gun in Chicago...This way they would no longer carry them....See how simple that is.

Raise the fine for shooting a firearm to $3.00 (40.00$ peso)
The City will be out of debt by December.
What's the current penalty for firearm offenses?
Does the City deduct from Link Debit cards ?

You need to get out to Cicero. Everything in sight -- benches at bus stops, "Special Events" trailers, literally EVERYTHING -- has "Larry Dominick" painted on it.

Go up 35th Street, block after block of lamp posts with those banners hanging from each one, "Welcome To Cicero Larry Dominick."

It is like Peking under Mao-Tse-Tung. The only thing missing is a twenty-story-high floodlighted portrait, and I'm sure they are working on it.

Someone told me that the property tax on a s__tty little place there was $7700 last year. No wonder.

It is going to cost millions to get rid of all this stuff when they catch Larry in the wrong.

They should name something for her, but Chicago Park District policy is they only name parks after people who are dead.

Rename the block of 50 W Washington St. to Jane Byrne Blvd. That way the Richard J Daley Center will forevermore have the address of 50 W Jane Byrne Blvd. Now that is something I would really like.
