According to lou dobbs, the country would run for 65 days with the proposed tax increase. That is if spending remains the same as it is now, and you know it will.
Ain't this the truth. Barry got elected with the votes from the folks getting all the hand outs.
With all the budget problems, no one seems to want to talk about welfare reform. Isn't it time to say we can't afford laziness? Oh, but then they pull out the race card.
i think it was Alexis De Tocqueville who said the acchilles heal of a democracy is when the poor realize they can vote money out of the public treasury.

Off-topic, Directv is urging
it's subscribers to phone their state representative to protest a five percent tax that Illinois wants to add to their monthly bill.
How can the state justify this tax when the signal is being received off the air, unless they in reality are trying to tax the receiver dish. Mayor Daley tried that garbage and the proposal got shot down.
he wont be happy till he runs this country into the ground. its revenge for supposed injustice. in the meantime young men are being murdered. this is his home town but he cant be bothered. what can you expect from a part time pres.
What's going to happen is the Democrats will see more money coming into the Treasury and immediately raise spending to use it up.

Since I don't subscribe to Chicago newspapers anymore and the drivers don't drop off a batch at the station anymore (HINT-HINT-HINT) I rarely get to see the editorial cartons.

Was just at the shop n save store on Arch, 2 people in front of me had the link cards, could not speak English,bought lots of food, the second 1 in line had 4 link cards 4 orders she told the cashier! I asked cashier what is percentage of link cards?her reply every other person! No money to fund pension,no money to payretirees health care that hey are cutting next year check the newspaper today for verification but money like the cash cow for democratic voters! According to Jesse Jackson Sr there are more white people on welfare than black people on welfare. But what Jesse dosen't say is that Blacks are only 15% of the population but there are also 85% of the crime either as victims and or offenders. High maintenance folks with money and grief.

Sad to say, but my friend here speaks the truth. This might also explain Ram-It-UP-Yours crying for illegals to get driving permits. Nobody that has lived here for the past 18 months is going to vote for him. Some non-citizen driving without insurance (which you know they will never bother with) will hit someone and 9.5 will look like a bigger asshole if possible.

Funny thing. After the election, the democrats are saying that everything is on the table : tax increases and feel increases, tax deduction eliminations and reduction in entitlements for everyone, yes, everyone, to include the middle class. Say goodby to the homeowners deduction or a severe reduction. Democrats are finally admitting that a tax increase on the wealthy, those who make over 250 grand, will not have much of an impact on the deficit and will not save medicare. This is something the republicans have been saying for years. Pandering to the welfare class sure wins elections.

You mean us black cops right? Always with our hands out. I worked with bleeding heart liberals before becoming a cop. Yes they were mostly white. Guess who enjoyed sticking their hands out to help the "poor, helpless inner city people" the white people. Guess who sat their looking depressed noting which people were in line for the third time with a different shirt or jacket on and gueesing who could buy their rocks or their drink because we gave them so much stuff? The "race card" people. There's a whole industry full of white people that needs poor inner city people or they will lose their jobs and lose their big dollar social service programs. Oh, you thought it was for the poor lazy people? You clown, that creates business and jobs for the services they get provided. Food stamps is a farm and grocery subsidy. Don't think so? Why are fast food joints trying to say they deserve access to food stamps too? Why can you google Costco and see over the last few years they changes their mind and take food stamps. $$$$ or are you short sighted enough to think it was about the lazy people. Wise up moron. there are no more fervent supporters of welfare than the retailers and the section 8 rental property investors.
figure it this way: if you earn your income, taxes doled out for all welfare programs means you've just adopted another mouth to feed, clothe, provide shelter and health care to.

It was neither de Tocqueville or Alexander Tytler who said this although it is frequently misattributed.
It was first seen in print in the 1950's and was used by Reagan in some of his speeches.
