Flisk Memorial Mural
- Two years after Chicago Police Officer Michael Flisk was fatally shot while dusting for fingerprints at a South Side crime scene, a mural honoring him was dedicated Sunday at the Catholic Church he attended.
[...] The colorful mural, which honors all first responders, is part of a new shrine to St. Michael and St. Florian steps from St. Rita’s alter [sic] and minutes from the Beverly home where Flisk raised his four kids.
There is also an Honored Star Case Ceremony today at Headquarters, but we aren't sure which of the recently deceased this is honoring. Could someone let us know in the comment section?

On Ch 9 news at 9, Jackie Bange pronounced Officer Flisk's name as "Fisk", twice.
Officer Flisk- killed in the line of duty, ambushed by an animal who deserved to die.
Carlton Fisk- HOF catcher who was recently a DUI arrest in the south suburbs.
Don't confuse them. God bless Officer Flisk's soul.

Timothy Herring Jr. is still awaiting trial for the murder of ET Michael Flisk.
Attorney Sladjana Vuckovic, the lawyer from First Defense Legal Aid, is charged
with allowing Herring to receive and make phone calls from Vuckovic's cell phone
while Herring was in custody at Area 2. Vuckovic was representing Herring for free
through the First Defense Legal Aid. Vuckovic's jury trial will commence tomorrow,
November 27th, 2012 at 26th/Cal, room 402, before the Honorable Judge Evelyn Clay.
Opening statements are expected to begin at 2:00 pm. Officers are welcome to appear

From a troll: A great idea for a sticker. Hopefully there are no religious symbols in it. (cannot see it that well) That would make it ineligible of course. And of course those symbols too are exactly what SHOULD be in it. You know our country is screwed when we are censoring religion, a foundation of our society and nation.
