Illinois, and Chicago in particular, are run like central american dictatorships with a corrupt strongman in charge. Unfortunately, the third world scum we've invited into our sanctuary city want this type of government because it's what they're accustomed to.

Some people want to be in chains because they don't understand the value of liberty.

If you made a deal with some of our citizens that you would give them all free food, clothing and housing and that they would never have to worry about getting those things but all they had to do was to chain themselves up at night in their free government homes, they would agree. They were born to be slaves.

Whelp It's Over!

We are out of ponzi's

They don't want a piece of that $16 trillion dollar federal debt nor do they want their share of the $87,000 per person Illinois debt.

Together they have got wise that we're talking over $187,000 dollars per person and that means life here as an indentured servant for several generations to come.

Working to be taxed, pensions, and healthcare accounts stolen under the guise of reforms.

The American dream is Bullshit. They ain't buying it anymore. No more ponzi's to exploit so now what?

Why do I say that? This >>>:

Immigrant family in U.S. sees better life back home

Couple, two sons leave Chicago for a growing Mexico as America loses luster as land of opportunity for many newcomers

***
MEXICO CITY—

Luis Barcenas still recalls the terror of being kidnapped at gunpoint while driving a truck on a Mexican highway 14 years ago, a traumatic two days that compelled him to move his family to Chicago in search of a better life.

But after years of disappointment in the United States that left the future uncertain for their two children, Barcenas and his wife, Xochitl, are ready to give their native land a second chance.

Scraping together $20,000 to buy a battered diesel truck and return to Mexico's dangerous roads seems to Barcenas a safer bet than the sporadic, hard labor that barely sustained him, his wife and their two sons during eight years in the U.S....

_____________________________

So much for the Imperial Chicago Mayor, and the Royal Governor and the presidents job's crap.

They tout jobs and I kept asking what kind of jobs are we talking about and here's your evidence.

Further proof is that 31,000 addition to the Illinois food stamp program in the latest report.

Also go look up the number of people actually employed in Illinois. In spite of this month after month political propaganda about creating jobs you will find that we had more people working in 1998 than we do today. Makes one wonder where all the new entrants to the workforce has gone over the last 15 years don't it?!

The ponzi's that corporations and politicians want to bring in have had it and they're leaving. It's game over.

Media keeps talking about Pensions being compounded annually with the COLA. NOT TRUE in CPD PENSION! 3% is from what U get when retired except for the BS disabilities? fucks-which is 95%-that get raises and free health care and ride the gravy train until 63 yrs of age. ALL TAX FREE AND LIVE OUT OF STATE! I retired 7 months ago from CPD as a SGT having been in that rank for 6 yrs and NO not a merit fuck. HI Brad Wil. But my idea to save everyone's pension before the plan goes solvent and our future brothers and sisters who retire in 10 or 20 yrs have no pension at all is to have us all at same pension pymt depending of course on years on the job. Fuck the rank that you retired at. You received a good salary after you sucked dick or cried to daddy. But we all started the same day in the Academy and all Police Officers although some of these fools who made rank should really be ashamed to ever put on OUR uniform. Know the ex suckholes I mean BOSSES? will cry like the bitches that they are and sure they impressed their grandkids at Holiday Time but time to spit that shit outta ur mouth and save pension for even a Recruit coming on job. Flat pension for all POLICE OFFICERS REGARDLESS OF RANK which is most guys and gals retiring. Like I said retired SGT but willing to give it up for the team. NO WAY SOME SUCK HOLE IDIOT WHO MADE RANK SHOULD GET OVER 100,000 A YEAR FOR THE RESt OF HIS/HER LIFE. Maybe I should have compromised myself!!!!!!! NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. Gun ban push -- WBBM (keyword) radio gave Toni Preckwinkle the whole "At Issue" program to sell her shit.

Nothing but the usual flattering, harmless softball questions from Craig Dellimore, who has already adopted the new "gun safety" euphemism for "gun confiscation."

One moment, Preckwinkle was singing someone's praises, saying "I know him from Springfield," the next moment she was dodging a different question, "I never worked in Springfield."

Dellimore just let it go and kept smiling. Everyone's on the same page here, after all.

Oh -- looking at the "investigations" on their web site -- if the time, money, and manpower spent on this tremendous blitz against "abuses of handicapped parking placards" was turned against -- dangerous street gangs? -- they would be "obliterated" by now.

Leftover NATO funds to help improve Chicago parks

Well boys & girls, there it is, what I think of when I see " performances of Circus in the Parks" is exactly what they pay you for and expect you to prevent. We know who the clowns in this circus are. Lil bozo show is on the air.

I have looked over some of the material, and there do indeed seem to be contradictions, unanswered questions, doubts about what sort of weapons were actually used, etc.

Unlike the gun banners, we await clarification.

Oh -- I checked up on the "Million Moms For Gun Control" web construct that appeared instantly. A USA Today story explains that it is being produced by an affluent woman with a public relations background and actually claims only 1,600 "members" that are probably just F__ebook "likes."

Sheriff Pulls Business From Dana Safety Supply Because They Stopped Selling Semi-Automatic Rifles To Civilians

***

Sirs,
It is my understanding that you have stopped selling self loading rifles to members of the general public in favor of selling them to law enforcement officers only.

I deeply regret that decision. As such, this agency will no longer seek bids from or purchase from DSS.

Thank you for your time and attention to this email.
Sheriff Scott Berry
Oconee County Georgia Sheriffs Office

***
In addition, should you be a law-abiding citizen who wants to show your non-support of Dana Safety Supply by not purchasing from them, here are a few more companies owned by the same people that own DSS:

Dana Safety Supply, Atlanta, GA
Southern Firearms, Greensboro, NC
Palmetto Firearms, Columbia, SC (NOTE: This is NOT Palmetto State Armory!)
Central Firearms, Tampa, FL
Dana Safety Supply, Miami, FL
Duval Honda
Duval Ford
Duval Acura
Duval Mazda at the Avenues
Mercedes-Benz of Gainesville
Subaru of Gainesville
Tampa Honda Land
Countryside Ford of Clearwater
Countryside Mazda of Clearwater
U.S. Auto Credit
Scott-McRae Advertising
Cause to Communicate
Commercial Landscape Solutions

================================

...In fact, Barry popped up on Fox Business for an interview.

In the interview, when asked why he would not longer be purchasing from DSS, Sheriff Barry said that since law abiding citizens couldn’t purchase a legal weapon there with money they have, then he wasn’t going to “spend their tax money” at such a business and he wasn’t going to “spend his personal money there” either. Come on! This guy is my kind of Sheriff!

When asked if it would “make his job easier” if “assault” rifles weren’t being sold and “out there,” Sheriff Barry responded by correcting the host that they were semi-automatic rifles, not assault rifles. He then went on to point out that there were millions of these weapons in America, but that “statistically an insignificant number of them are used to commit any kind of crime.”

From a We Are One coalition press release…

“We are extremely disappointed that Governor Quinn and legislative leaders have shut out the voices of workers and retirees in their latest talks on pension legislation. Instead, once again, Illinois politicians are preparing to use unconstitutional schemes to ruin the retirement security of hundreds of thousands of Illinoisans while ignoring the state’s revenue problem.

If the General Assembly rams through last-minute legislation that violates the Illinois Constitution, we are prepared to sue to protect the hard-earned benefits of teachers, caregivers, corrections officers, university employees, and others.

It doesn’t have to be this way. The coalition has put forth a real plan to fix the state’s pension funding problem and called to meet with lawmakers at a mid-January summit. Our plan — to create an ironclad guarantee, curtail corporate welfare by closing tax loopholes, and share in the sacrifice by asking employees to pay more into the pension systems — remains the only fair, constitutional, and sustainable proposal on the table.”

State prison locked down after 58 guards call in sick

SPRINGFIELD - Officials locked down one of the state's maximum-security prisons Friday morning, but not because of an outbreak of violence.

Rather, the movement of prisoners at the Stateville Correctional Center was limited from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. because a significant number of prison guards called in sick.

It was not clear Friday why there were so many absences, but Illinois Department of Corrections spokeswoman Stacey Solano said it was "unusual" that 58 workers were unable to report for their shift.

"The department made every effort but was unable to fill the posts necessary to continue normal operations," Solano said. "The facility was therefore placed on level 4 lockdown in order to ensure the continued safe and secure operation of the prison."

The incident came a week after more than 100 Stateville prisoners were reportedly bed-ridden by norovirus, a highly contagious flu that apparently spread through the Crest Hill facility.

It also came a day after hundreds of correctional officers and state retirees had rallied in the Capitol against possible cuts to their pensions.

This is what myself and a few of my colleagues wrote to aforementioned 'representatives"

I am a law enforcement officer in Illinois, I have been for nearly two decades. I was a homicide detective on the west side of Chicago. If you feel the need, my employment can be verified via the city website.

I have investigated many deaths, most of which did not involve firearms. FBI statistics support my experience and show that blunt force instruments, e.g. Hammers, rocks, feet, fists, etc. are the cause of more homicides than firearms.

I own guns legally for my profession, but I have friends that live outside of Chicago that exercise their constitutional rights to posses arms as well. I am writing to help support them.

From my professional and personal experience, guns do not kill people. Bullets do not just self-initiate and project as they rest within the magazines. People that choose to break the law kill people.

Criminals are the issue here. They are the ones that you and your other legislators should be targeting, not law abiding citizens. Spending time and money on enacting reversible laws is a waste of both. That money and legislative time should be used to pay down our debt and locate reliefs to our deficit.

You took an oath to defend the constitution, not an agenda, whether from left or right. Please vote NO to this current pending gun banning law and any future law in the same tenor that does nothing to hinder criminals from obtaining firearms.

Respectfully,

SIGNATURE

P.S.
Please feel free to pass this along to your colleagues that construct and propose these laws.

from:

http://watchdog.org/65527/watchblog-new-pension-plan-to-get-monday-hearing/

SPRINGFIELD – Weekened meetings between Gov. Pat Quinn and the four legislative leaders did not produce a grand-bargain on pension, but there is a new plan.

This is what we are hearing at the statehouse:

The House Personnel and Pensions hearing set for Monday morning at 10 am is expected to be moved. It now is expected to be set for noon in Room 114 of the Capitol.

On the docket will be Senate Bill 1673, with a new amendment. It is much of the framework of House Bill 6258, with a few tweaks:

*Pause COLAs for all workers and retirees for six years

*Once COLAs resume, they apply only to the first $25k of pensions

*No COLAs will be awarded until age 67

*Increase employee contributions by 1 percent of salary for 2 years (total of 2 percent increase)

*Cap pensionable salary at the Social Security wage base or their current salary, whichever is higher

*Create a new 30-year payment plan to get to 100 percent funding

*Provide the same funding guarantee as in HB6258

*Continue using pension obligation note revenue to pay down pension debt when the notes are paid off

The cost shift and cash balance plans are not included.

--------------------------

Golly gee whiz.

Lets' see...if we freeze the pension cost of living increases for six years and assume that the actual cost of living is...oh lets say 4% over those years. That would be a 26% REDUCTION in benefits after six years if my math is correct.

How does that sound to you?

You can bet Rahm has his eyes on this and will model the city plan accordingly

But then it gets even worse.

After the six year of no COLA's they want to apply COLA's to only the first $25K of the pensions!!? WTF man! There goes your power of compounding interest.

Consider that a cost of living increase of say 10% per year means that your money doubles in seven years. Now take away that compound increase and apply it to only the first $25K of your pension. YOU'RE GETTING SCREWED BABY! BIG TIME!

Cost of living (COLA's) increases are to keep up with inflation. COLA's are not raises to make you better off. COLA's are there to ensure you can maintain your current standard of living. Take them away, suspend them, monkey with the math to apply them only to a small portion of our benefits and it gets worse and worse the longer you live in retirement.

Get ready to go back to work if you make it to say 70 y/o or perhaps 75 if you can find anyone that will hire you at that age.

The longer you live, as your health care cost rise, you will lose more purchasing power with these COLA cuts until you are in poverty, and on food stamps -- if that program is not cut by then too.

I mean go right down that list and do the math. It's outright theft. It's being pitched as being so harmless. Oh we're just going to limit your cost of living increases for a period but that is huge! The power of compounding interest is huge!

And do we need to be reminded that cost of living...like public transportation costs are rising not at 4% but 15%. Parking cost are not rising at 4% but 16%. Water bills, real estate taxes, they are not rising only by 4%. The state has a debt of over $87K per person to cover and taxes are not going to be reduced anytime soon. We just got a 2% wage cut thanks to the payroll tax break expiring. That's your cost of living going up.

This is your payback for allowing the politicians to skip their pension contribution payments and to use the money for their pet projects.

They are planning to fix the benefits by making US make additional contributions to the pensions and share...yeah share in making up what they stole. Their shared pain will be reducing our benefits. Our shared pain will be higher contributions.

Tell me what's wrong with this picture!

now there is a proposal to cut my cola as well just because the pension funds were "stolen from" and mismanaged by Ill. pols.

What am I missing?
I have been taxed twice, underfunded against my contract with the city and penalized for having a pension in my retirement.

there are a lot of us " non-wizzards " out here?

is this not news worthy or should I prepare to donate my organs since that's all I have left to give to t6he city's coffers

You all will die someday and no more Holidays or sitting at bars trying to impress peeps how fuckin important you once were. As you can see U werent all that butch or butchess.

Hey why is it when someone comes on here to complain about lack of police in their residential area we have people (I'm assuming some police and a lot of trolls) bitch towards them and their problem such as the comment on 7 Jan @ 0042 hrs.

I think it's a joke that people pay higher taxes to live in somewhat quiet areas of this city without scum constantly hanging out or smoking weed on every corner. Why do people think its ok to joke about this situation. If you worked hard for your money and property for you and your family why would you think it's ok for some asshole to come steal your stuff or ruin your property by destroying it? Time to look out for each other because this city does not give a shit about anyone except the chosen few. As always be safe and look out for others because one day you might be the one needing help.
