A few days ago we asked which police executive sounded more stupid - Emeryville, California Chief Ken James or our very own Stuporintendent Mc501.
Chief James declared that guns are not defensive weapons, but rather tools to intimidate and, we assume, oppress the citizens. Here's some oppression going on in Houston:

- A 21-year-old man came to his parents rescue after three gunmen forced their way into their Houston home.
The family was baking a cake when someone knocked on their front door. The homeowner thought the man was a friend of his son’s so he opened the door. It turns out he was wrong. The suspect, along with two other men, pushed open the door and forced the homeowner to the floor.
With the homeowner out of the way the suspects went after his wife. The son ran and grabbed his father’s gun out of the bedroom. He opened fire, killing one suspect and the other two fled the scene.
Of course, that's in Texas, not California, so it's really not a good example.
Rather, the Houston family should have followed the recent guidelines issued by the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs and endorsed by Colorado state representative Joe Salazar to rely on "safety zones," call boxes, whistles, self-induced vomiting, urinating on yourself or the Bobby Knight special (#5 on the University top-ten self-defense list.)
Heaven forbid anyone has a gun to defend themselves.

Texas is awesome. Visited for the first time this past year and love how they run their state. They actually enforce their laws, and give law abiding citizens the right to self defense. Their taxes are basically non-existant compared to this fucked state city and county we live in. If you commit a serious violent crime you will be somebodies bitch in the penal system and actually do real time. They also enforce the death penalty, have great BBQ & shiner bock beer, warm weather , and great golf courses...whats not to love?!

I am sure Chief James's view is on intimation. That is what HE thinks guns IN THE HANDS OF COPS are for. Since he is Chicago that is how he was brought up.
Here in Texas that is not so, either by police or us citizens. I own a bunch of handguns. I pack CHL gun daily. I never ever even expose it so there is no intimation.
If I want to intimidate I use a double 12 sawed off, as per VP Biden's suggestion. THAT will intimidate real well!
