God bless all our beloved American heroes who fought and gave so much. Each generation has to go to war it seems, so many dead and wounded to uphold our American code of honor and decency. Thank you with all my heart for your service. To my son and nephew for voluntering for duty in the Irag/Afganistan wars, and becoming wounded warriors, special thanks to you, and your brothers in combat still serving today. Let us not forget these brave souls serving now and all who served before them. Grateful American

Thanks Dad, and all like him that left their homes and families to make our Country safe.

When is the last time you thanked one of our brave military out in uniform in public? I hope it makes them feel at least half as good as it makes me feel.

I agree that our men and
women who are currently
serving in the armed forces
and who have sacrificed their lives to defend the
United States are working
for an ungrateful goverment
who has no compunctions about putting them in harms
way in some foreign country
that hates the U.S. and what
it stands for. And most of the congressmen, and the president, have never served
in the military so they don't have a clue. Bring the
boys and girls home and stop
the senseless lost of these
young lives. In spite of all
it's faults, God Bless The
United States, America The

For the troll who posted Obama got us out of Iraq,WAKE UP. The world is a safer place without Saddam, and Obama and Clinton allowed the slaughter in Benghazi. The world is a more dangerous place with our appeasing, Champagne Communist Administration. I can't help but feel sadness for the sacrifices of so many in our military in a country that is so forgettful or appalled by their very existence.

Off the topic a bit but still relevant.

During every Blackhawks game a retired and active member of the military is on the ice for the national anthem and are recognized for their service. During the third period they are recognized once again at which time the fans, and players, give a standing ovation to show our appreciation to our troops.

During last Satursdays game against the Wings I noticed that these ass hole Wings fans not only did they not clap, they did not even stand because they were too busy saying 3-1 (the series standings until the game ended).

I am not a Red Wings suck chanter, but these classless fans from Detroit deserve to live there. They apparently don't realize that our troops protect our country even the shithole we call Detroit. I know you are the sphincter of Canada but just a little class when it's called for.

By the way 3-3....ass holes.

Thank you our men and women in the armed forces...you are apprciated.

Imagine living in a City where the whole thing is one big Englewood. Most of the Red Wing fans are likely from the suburbs. And there are some real shit suburbs around Detroit. There was a huge migration from the hills of Kentucky for the auto jobs. Lots of real genuine Kentucky hillbillies there.

Watch many of the openings at sporting events; players not removing their caps, no hand over the heart, can't stop chewing and spitting during the antheym. It's a good thing I am not the owner of a team, they'd be out. This is why these overpaid lowlifes will never get my dollars. Our deployed military should be making their salaries!

Then, vote with your wallet.

Three years ago, I went to Menards to buy a flag. Both of their large sized flags were made outside of the USA. I didn't buy one.

I DID come home and call them and send an email message about it. I got a phone call from a customer service rep who told me they HAVE to buy outside the US because that's the only way to keep their prices down.
My response was that I'd be happy to pay a few cents more to get an AMERICAN flag that was MADE IN AMERICA, keeping an AMERICAN employed. She was very nice, very apologetic, but certainly not in a position to change policy. I asked her to at least write a note of complaint and send it up the chain. I also severely cut down my purchases at Menards.

Here we are, three years later. The US has begun to wake up, as a nation, and a groundswell of consumers is demanding more items be made in America. Menards has some US made flags. Detroit is moving some of their manufacturing home. ABC news has regular features on Made In America, which is reminding our citizens we are the ones who determine if US jobs stay in the US or are lost because of the corporate squeeze on the bottom line.
Don't buy the cheap little Asian-made flags. Don't buy the designer clothes that are made in VietNam. Just say no. Consumers drive the manufacturing choices. We CAN make a difference.
