CDC Says "Guns Aren't That Bad"
- The White House asked the Centers for Disease Control "to research the causes and prevention of gun violence."
We're pretty sure that what the CDC found wasn't what the White House was looking for. The Democrats, and their media allies, obsess over some shootings while ignoring many others.
Kill innocents in a school or theater in large numbers, and the media will fixate on the tragedy while Democrats wail about America's "gun culture."
Shoot a minority who's wearing a hoodie and the left twists the story into something it isn't while the media turn the shooter into a "white" man, though he, too, is a minority — and an Obama supporter with a mixed ethnic background.
It was under these raw and highly charged circumstances that President Obama asked the CDC in January to perform the study. He was surely looking to manufacture a crisis that he could take advantage of.
What that study revealed, though, does not fit in with the media-Democrat message.
In fact, the CDC confirms most of the findings that the NRA regularly publishes concerning defensive uses of guns, the deterrent value of guns and the ineffectiveness of gun "turn-in" programs. Imagine that.

Barry, Nancy, Joe, Dianne, et al must be fuming at the CDC, which always went with the right conclusion, not just what the administration in power at the time felt..ala Reagan with the beginnings of the AIDS crisis.

Last time I checked the northern district of Illinois is at the bottom of the list when it comes to federal prosecution of firearm offenses.
The actions don't match the rhetoric.
And we wonder how much that company Rahm favored so much, Accreditive Health profits from the Chicago violence running unchecked?

I have no problem with the shootings that have taken place. The shithead gang bangers are the victims 99.9% of the time. As a policeman I've stood over the bodies of many dead or dying jag-offs who happened to end up on the wrong side of a gun and I can honestly say I have felt 0 empathy for any of those assholes. I could just as soon eat a hot dog and drink a coke while pondering exactly how this "future doctor or lawyer to be" met his demise. From a cost benefit analysis the savings that society derives from their untimely end is phenomenal.
And now the CDC brass will be tasked with a White House Directive to test the claim that eating molten lava out of a volcano improves workplace morale and encourages one to follow the f*ing script!

Look for the Chief of the CDC to get dumped, or at the very least disparaged, for something he or she did many moons ago. Failing to tow the party line.

Just be glad that the 2nd watch LT is on med and that Commander EW was on the scene to handle the situation. CO EW is a prince and can handle any situation like a Cop's Cop. The Lt would have done what he is best at doing, "Jamming up Coppers".

Oh, God! You're right! He should have been walking on a bed of nails! Or pacing incessantly! He should have been doing whatever it is that would make you happy, but there's probably nothing that would make you happy. You'd find fault with it, no matter what.

Too bad CDC is not a chicago nor cook county establishment. It's good to know at least one place we pay taxes into can tell the truth to citizens. Maybe the CDC folks can attend a comp stat meeting and give us their advice. Pretty sure CDC can do a much better job compared to the puppets we have.

Hey, Sherlock. When those kids are related to gang banging shitheads and out at hours children should be asleep, what do you think the results will be?
You don't hear about kids in normal neighborhoods falling victim like this, because their parents are RESPONSIBLE and they live in a community that doesn't expect the GUBMINT to run their lives.
That same community that elects known criminals to lead them deserves what they get.
Good for them at least one government agency has brains in their heads.
