Great news on the injured officer; Now is anyone going to be held accountable for putting him out there alone? IN AN EFFORT TO BE ABLE TO REPORT TO 35TH & MICHIGAN, "EVERY BEAT IS MANNED" THEY RISKED THE LIFE OF THIS OFFICER. FOP needs to make it clear that we are not expendable so that Rahm and McNumbnuts can float phony figures to the Scum-Times. CPD is below a safe level of personnel and Rahm must not be allowed to continue to lie.

Thank you for letting us know. We will put that block and the surrounding blocks on lockdown you can count on it I haven't seen it done yet and it gets me angry but they will pay the price for attempting to take one of our own out.

God bless the Officer and his family. We should always remember what our families go through....after I retired I asked my daughter how she felt about my retirement. She said that she was glad that she would never again have to worry about the "knock on the door". All those years she never mentioned it, but it was in her thoughts.

Here's to a full recovery...physically and mentally!

Another disenfranchised, underprivileged, neglected by both his parents and society animal with not enough minutes on his free cell phone that should have been euthanized at birth.

Im sure it was all a misunderstanding and accidental like the newspaper scum in this city stated.

Speedy Recovery Officer. Best wishes...

Ma'am,
It's called the "Thin Blue Line."
In reality, it was the duty and honor of his 'Police Family.'
WE wish him well.

WTF? What kind of pussy is this D/C of 007? Why haven't we committed to a "scorched earth" policy there. When I worked in Englewood in the 70's and 80's, if this happened to one of our own, every swinging dick went to jail... after his visit to the ER! GO BLUE!

It is a shame he was hurt but when morons and cowards keep generating revenue the city could care less. When will people wake up?

Back in the day we wouldn't have to wait for the commander to tell us to do something.. THAT'S the problem here..to many people these days wait until they are told to do something.. You are right back in the day everybody would have went to jail.. But coppers back then would just go out and do it themselves.. No pride anymore..
