- A man was found dead today inside a public restroom at the Englewood District police station on the South Side.
Someone walked into the restroom of the station at 1438 W. 63rd St. around 6:30 a.m. and found the man unresponsive, according to Police News Affairs [...].
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. [News Affairs] said there was no visible sign of trauma.
Junkie? Medical emergency? Just how often do they check those bathrooms? Is it every 15 minutes like the lock-up? Maybe it should be. At least it wasn't Leo's personal shitter.

The smell from the bathroom was ignored for days, because, well it always smelled like that in the old 007 at 61 racine. The desk was just used to the smell.

In 025 we have a station security officer who is supposed to make his/her rounds of the station and lot. Yet folks keep coming in the lot to take their impounded car back lots of times. Probably because the officer is too busy playing at the desk.
Remember when American Airlines left a dead guy sitting on the throne in the plane. Cleaners found him hours later.

And fucking stupid. Was he right to support this legislation? Yeah. He has just managed to screw the pooch with this act.
he was waiting for to post bond for too long of a time period. this guy got too tired of waiting bc the desk officer was too busy or being way over his head with letting to post bond asap. instead this guy checked out early inside the washroom got tired of waiting!
We have public bathrooms and then we have 'public' bathrooms in my district. I guarantee even the cleaning crew cant stand going in the 'public' bathrooms. Hard to get to them with the chicken bones on the floor and the smell of feets in the waiting area.
Need to install lights like a confessional, and a timer to go with it!
It is not the desk officers responsibility to check those bathrooms. Desk officers multi task many, many things already... don't give the clueless wonders at 35th St any more ridiculous ideas.

The shithouse in 007 is probably a better place than any that shitbird has lived in. He went to die in dignity, not in some syringe, crack vial and condom filled alley.
