FOP Politics

Meeting yesterday:
  • I am embarrassed to be in the FOP. The entire meeting was the personal fight between Shields and Dougherty. Dougherty explained how he was helping the vet get a doctors letter so he could come back full duty. The problem was Bill never addressed the issue over bringing politics into the conversation nor did he deny it. That's a problem. One of his minions went to the mic to actually say the letter was a sham. The problem is many of us know the officer and know the letter is true. Donahue made a motion and Bill was voted back into the field rep position. I don't believe Mike will let him back in. The problem is this feud is going to affect our representation. Every meeting from here on in will degenerate into a verbal altercation that last two hours without US the members getting any resolution to the important issues affecting us.
So it sounds like pretty much nothing was solved, everyone jockeys for position and different factions continue to wheel, deal, lie and posture.

How can a person who is on disability run for a the president of the FOP? Is there nothing in the bylaws about this? As an active member I want an active employee running the union.

This is not a retiree against an active member or a disability person against and active member issue. It's a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

Yeah for all you people that think by voting on a silly meaningless motion is going to fix the problems at the FOP you are dreaming.... You think it will get better in that building by putting Bill back, they will fight more now than ever and the ones that will suffer is us the MEMBERS!!!!!

How does Bill escape the mistakes, inefficiency and malfeasance at the Lodge, use your heads people, the city and Management & Labor affairs doesn't meet and settle stuff with Bill or Rich for a reason what makes you think they will if he wins the President race.

We have enough problems with Rahm and Mc Drunk and on top of it our unions are terrible. FOP is as bad as the politicians in IL. The shit that went down with the Sgts union speaks for itself. Lts union doesn't do much and the Capts union sold everyone out. Disgusting.

Bill has been on that Fop Board for 15 years he bears just as much responsibility for the fucked up way that organization is run, you think the Lodge stopped functioning when Fallon died, NO, he moved along, when Kunz was booted, no it functioned how about when someone retires from the police department, no it continues on, so don't be fooled into thinking the world is going to end if Bill isn't upstairs, he is still the 1st VP, just in 022

OT: when quite a few of you P.O.s from 019 get sent to midnights, think about your fellow officers with a lot less time on the job such as yourselves who are "DETAILED" out working straight days with weekends off. They range from 35th st to the academy. Every night and weekend home with the family. They must be that special. And everybody knows who they are.

Mike has to keep Dougherty at bay as Dougherty and Donahue are all about number one, and that isn't the FOP membership. They have and will sell out the membership at every opportunity. Mike finally is seeing through the BS artist that Dougherty has always been. Just like Obama is a serially unable to tell the truth, Dougherty and Donahue are serial sellouts. You wonder how competent Donahue is when the Alderman puts him on the Mount Greenwood Redevelopment Committee that essentially went broke.

1. The motion is not biding because the By-laws and contract give Mikey the right to do this. They take precedent. Mike got legal advise from the lodges legal attorneys before doing this.

2. For years Mark used Roberts rules of order to cut off debates today he used it to continue the meeting after there was already a motion to adjourn. They waited to do this after half of the members left the meeting. Like 10 years ago the rule of the mob was used just like Mark used it before.

3. Billy never apologized and admitted that he tried to fight the president on more than one occasion. Bill just f-ing apologize for Christ sake. It’s that f-ing hockey player mentality.

4. Jim Moriarty used the vets name in the open in violation of Hippa laws and tried to shame the vet to the mic. He later apologized and said he was on drugs. The officer’s case was discussed at executive session just for that reason to protect his identity. That’s three things that should/could be grounds for expulsion from the union for Moriarty. He’s out of control but does not care he’s retiring in December. He got in a heated agreement with a friend of the vet on that cheap shot as the meeting was ending.

5. Mark wants Mike to appoint a parliamentarian immediately. My guess is that he will pick one by the end of the week. One both sides should agree on. Of course Mark thinks he’s is smarter than anyone else and will block it. Did you know that when we brought charges up on Mark he twice used Billy to pick the committees. But It did not make a difference because he held a majority on the board. That’s why they tried to use mob rule today. Mike has the right and Billy does not have the votes on the board either thanks to JM.

6. The longest serving trustee gave a history lesson to the other 5 people this has happened to. Mark used one process when he was president and now want this president to use another process.

As the ballots are going out look for us to publish the real reason Capparelli (soprano's) was put of the office, lawsuits against Mark that were settled on the QT, and the reason Mark, Bella, Aguliar, and DiMaria belong in jail. We’ll do it weekly

Signed friends of Sean and Wayne back from the grave with NOTHING to lose.

You nailed it Second City. I have been on the job for 24 years and I
Was embarrassed by the conduct I saw displayed today and for the last month in fact, all to the delight of that real Dictator on the 5th floor.
Shields told the membership that Dougherty challenged him to a fist fight twice in the FOP office! If that isn't insubordination I don't know what is, Bill didn't deny that he did it! I have always thought that Bill Dougherty did a good job up there in the FOP office and still do but Bill has got to control his temper.Bill was definitely the aggressor today. It should have been called "friends of Bill day" at the FOP today. Shields passed out several pieces of paper that quoted the chapter and verse that gives the President the right to have his choice of "field Reps"
Up in the office. The previous two administrations both did this and in the beginning of this administration I think I remember that Shields replaced Davis and Caparelli with McCarthy and Sal Del
RIVERA. I don't see what is different about Dougherty. He certainly has done more to warrant being replaced than either Davis or
Caparelli. Is it just because Dougherty has more friends, apparently so, it's the only difference I see. Today was an attempt at mob rule. This is the kind of building that has been reported at transfer meetings and has no place here. We are all Chicago Police Officers and they had better start acting like it.
I was not impressed today but it did make an impression on me that I will remember come election day.
Thanks Bill and Mark and the idiot
With his arm in a sling for making me embarrassed to say I am a Chicago Police Officer today.

This whole thing started with Bill Mike and Geiger not sending the letter. At the time it sounded like a good idea. As it played out and Mike and Geiger got beat by the city at the Labor Board Bill saw an opening to cut and run. He didn't expect Mike and Geiger to retaliate the way they did by throwing him out of the office. This is just child's play with the membership being hurt all the way.

Shields got ambushed by Donahue, and Dougherty at the meeting today. I am no fan of Mike, but these guys set him up to fail, which was evident at the meeting. Shields has made critical mistakes (given not putting in the retro letter), however the powers that be have thrown him under the bus.

Bill D. has baggage as well as the rest of the FOP candidates anounced for President thus far.

It is to early to bring out each candidates baggage.

However, let's do the right thing and give Mike the right to run the office, which he should have the right to do.

IL FOP President Ted Street attending a Chicago FOP meeting just seems improper, given he has always stated, "That Local Lodges should run their own business." He is desperate to win his election for state fop president!!! He sees Lodge 7 as that venue. Ted only limited members of Lodge No. 7 are coming to Metropolis, IL. to vote for you, which I guarantee will be split. Good Luck Ted, but if you put your hands in Donahue's basket reality is you are DONE. LOL. Good luck to the State Troopers.

Actually SCC that's not what happened. You left out the part about Dougherty said if the officer was present he would gladly go into this issue more. The poster who is featured is both right and wrong. While some of the meeting was a waste, the members did get something out of the meeting. They got Dougherty back. He is the most qualified person in that office when it comes to serving the members. His knowledge of medical issues is superior.

They also got a message sent to Shields that he is our President and not our King. He doesn't have absolute power. He has to consult with the Board of Directors before making a decision that could effect us all. If Shields heeds that message, the bullshit should stop. It's up to him.

Gorman and Aguilar both stayed away from the bullshit and gave out vital information.

So ii went to the general membership meeting of the FOP and a CAPS meeting broke out. I got to see Shields attempt to justify to the membership why he dumped Dougherty stating it was because Dougherty challenged him to a fight and because of a compliant letter from a vet about being asked who he was supporting for FOP president.. Then I got to see Shields acting like a dictator as he refused to call motions that were made to the floor, calling them illegal and stating they need to be made in executitive secession and then arguing that Roberts Rules of Order don't govern the conduct of the meeting, but rather the contract and our constitution and by laws .finally Shields agreed to split the room over a motion by past president Donahue that Dougherty be immediately restored to his field rep position until the matter could be decided at a board meeting. It passed by at least ninety percent of those in attendance, but Shields called in non binding and refused to restore Dougherty. The low point of the meeting came when one of the sgt at arms decided to name the officer that wrote the letter complaiining about Dougherty where everybody else was at least respecting the officers privacy...at least in public. It was a fun meeting but I was embarrassed to be an FOP member and cringe when I think of Shields even attempting to neogate a contract. When someone asked why we just don't go to arbitration now that we have the city's offer, we were told it would not be in the memberships best interest at this time. So there you have it. I would sum all of this up with Shields needs to go!

The author of this e-mail seems to be telling one side of the story. While there may be arguments at FOP meetings most of them are started by Shields as he seems to be beating to a different drum then most of the membership. Shields did not have a good reason for dumping Dougherty out of the office. It was clear that Dougherty had the support of most of the membership at yesterday's meeting. Shields tried to end the meeting and not let the membership take a vote on a motion that came from the floor. It was clear that even though Shields has been up in the office for over two years, he still doesn't know what he is doing.

Billy do you really think that you are going to get 50%+1 in a three-way race? Whoever is 3rd place is going to back the other guy. You have Zero chance even if you finish 1st in round 1.

Billy's conduct was calculated to get to this point. He knows that he can't win a runoff. It's sad he's going for the sympathy vote.

I am not a police officer but many of my family members are. I know in other trade unions the international reps have taken over in times of turmoil. This looks like a good time to me. You have board members being removed. A president that is failing in contract negotiations. And hasn't a lawyer been brought up on charges. Bring in outside reps, remove everyone and hold a new election after the new contract. Attack one problem at a time.

Donahue, in attempt to do an end run around the Board of Directors, made an illegal and non -binding motion to re -instate Billy as field rep. Billy is no longer a field rep, and would have to be re- appointed by Shields, and the Board votes it up or down. Ain't gonna happen. Mike has screwed up a lot and in turn has screwed all of us. He has made decisions he had no right to make like not sending in the letter and then deceiving the Board about it and selecting his own committee to hear charges filed against him. I was at the meeting yesterday and it was disgraceful but what seems to be missed about putting Bill back into his office is that the motion was to put him back until Mike removed him in the proper way. Bill was put in that field rep position by a vote of the Board and only the Board can reverse its decision but the dictator just doesn't get it. Mike has to learn to do things the right way and follow the rules instead of making them up as he goes along. So now the smear campaign will continue against those who disagree with Mike by his idiot brother and the dog whisperer. Now these same clowns are going to smear the State President who was at the meeting and said nothing. Tthose who spoke against the vote of no confidence in September really screwed up because the one who is truly deserving of it and has proved it several times since then is Mike.

The best shot at the meeting was at Aguilar when one copper at the mic said we all know how honest you are!
(Rich is known as Ag-u-liar).

The worst shot at the meeting was Jim Moriarty giving up the vets name in public.

After the meeting I have to say Mark Donahue does look like Field Marshal Herman Goering.

To anyone who has not gone to meetings over a regular basis yesterday was choreographed from start to finish. The mob sits until the meeting is over and half the people leave. if you were there yesterday when JM gave up the vets name was the response 90-10 percent or was it 50/50?

The meeting was a shambles fron start to finish. The hall was packed with Mt Greenwood hillbillies who came for the free beer, and to support their leader Billy. Billy showed up in his brand new police uniform, and appeared ready to go trick or treating. The Hedgehog, was running around as always, shouting about Robert's Rules of Order. Mary Mark spoke for ten minutes a out what a great guy he is, and what a mentor he is to Shields. Does Mark's arm ever get tired from patting himself on the back? Ted Street was brought from Springfield by the Hedgehog to be the ringmaster, but Ted just sat with a dumbfounded look on his face, and remained silent. The lads from Mt Greenwood , showed Ted how a true hillbilly acts, so , at least Ted didn't completely waste his time. He got a lesson in how to act like a Billy, from Billy.

Dear Ted Street,

There is an old saying that when you lay down with dogs you will get fleas. As you know Kevin Graham came to our board meeting and requested to be slated for 1st vice president of the state lodge. Two other members also did. Kevin finished third in the voting and requested that his name be withdrawn and promised to fully support our candidate for the state lodge election.

Was Kevin’s word honored? No. He went to the convention and ran for office and embarrassed Lodge 7.

As you well know he told the troopers HE was bringing over 200 CPD to the state convention as retribution for picking Metropolis. And I know all of the above to be fact as do you Ted.

Someone posted here that Bill Dougherty promised to bring 300. That is probably bullshit. But Bill will say that he will support you if he can somehow figure how to get 50%+1.

Fast forward to this morning Ted and what Kevin Graham said in the coffee shop? If we bring 200 CPD to Metropolis I’ll be the next State Lodge President not Ted.

So Ted when you make your bed with dogs you will get fleas.

I was totally disgusted by yesterday’s flash mob at the general meeting. I’m done drinking the Kool Aid.

A former member of the CityWide Team.

PS print this post and read it put it away for a day and read it again. Then ask yourself is it true. You know the answer already.

Dear Dean Angelo team you guys are just blogging away about Shields and Bill and get rid of everyone just wondering if that should include Junior who never has time to contribute to the organization as he feels he should not use any comp time however does not hesitate on taking his monthly check.
The biggest mistake you made was extorting an officer who is a vet an seeking to stay on the job. You need to realize how this letter can jeopardized his future. As much as people want to point their finger at Shields for this action I have major doubts, it is quite obvious that you are playing monkey in the middle and playing one against the other.
Can you tell the membership why you guys voted with Shields again yesterday at the general meeting?
And how Ray jumped up to defend this officer? They are partners correct? The membership would appreciate the officer appearing at one of the meetings and please explain himself, I say using him to politicize is ugly and disgraceful. We know why it was done but not in best taste for anyone.

If Bill was a stand up guy, he would have refused to go back to the office and said he would be better served helping out the guys in 22 (must be nice) on the front lines due to the manpower shortage. Alas, he didn't and showed the membership that its all about himself. I especially love that he wore his uniform to the meeting although he was off.

To all the Dougherty fans out there you need to know that the disabled vet is not the first copper that Bill has screwed over. The real Bill Dougherty when he is in his office he is playing video poker on his computer and his secretary Jessica handles all the work. If you think it's bull Mike just needs to take his computer and have a geek look at the history. The computer doesn't lie.

Fields reps serve at the pleasure of the FOP president. Shields does not need approval from the Board of Directors, to oust Dougherty. Dougherty can be returned to the position of Field rep, only if he is selected by Shields, and it is approved by the board. The dog and pony show put on by Donahue at yesterday's board meeting, was disgraceful, and is certainly not binding on either Shields or the Board. As Donahue knows, the FOP is run by the Board of Directors, not a flash mob at a general meeting. Desperate people, do desperate things. Dougherty is finished, and so is Mark.

There are 8 votes on the pension board and he was only one of them. The Sgt's, Capts & Lts. and retirees plus four from the city.

In the beginning the CHA hired a lot of trash - people we fired or could not pass the back round check, etc. - if you were one of the later hires that where the higher standards then you got screwed because of all of the political hires before you.

Congratulations brother, well done!

Live and enjoy the rest of your life!

But remember... The public hates you because in their eyes, 50 is "too young" for a mere "public servant" to retire. Regardless of the grief, horror, aggravation and ugliness you've seen...

They'll be mad because they desperately want Policemen at death's door when they retire. That way they feel vindicated in that they somehow got their "money's worth" and you didn't "cheat" them by retiring "too young" even though the same people who are age peers blithely ignore the fact that they outlive Policemen by 15 years or more...

That's why we endure the shit-talk about "Cush $100K pensions, retirement at 50, another job while getting a pension, second homes and sweet vacations to nice places while we have to work until we're 70."

"We hope they bust your union and bust you guys pensions so you'll be just like us!"

These same people pointed and laughed at us during the boom-time 90's... Remember?

"You dumb-ass Coppers getting shit on for $50K and a peon pension... WE clear $100K+, WE have $500K in our 401K. WE have a 3500 s/f condo while you bozos cry in your 1200 s/f shacks in Dunning and Mt. Greenwood. WE have 3 cars less than 3 years old and we take nice trips every year while you chump Coppers work your side jobs for $20 an hour... HAH! Sucks to be YOU, doesn't it Cop?"

Now? People are driven insane with hatred and bitter envy because it looks like "the big, dumb-ass, brutal, racist, old and lazy Cops" are retiring "too young" and escaping this shit-hole city.

*You guys need to stay here and be miserable with us! Who said YOU fucking guys could get away?*

Happy Retirement and may you laugh your ass off everyday at these miserable, hateful people who deserve to be left at the tender mercies of what's climbing over the stockade walls.

Every Copper, Fireman and other muni employee SHOULD flee and take every nickel they earned with them...

Oh... People might get mad and cheer for legislation that attaches a "fee" or assesses a "penalty" for the "lazy union members" retiring, fleeing and taking their hard earned treasure out of the city/state.

The best detective and captain that ever investigated police shootings work for us on a hourly fee basis now. And how many times did you hear the investigation is under review when the city's press secretary gave the news conference. Mike hired Pat Camden also on an hourly basis too. Now the reporters don't go the city people for a quote they come to us. Believe me from someone who was sued in Federal Court that is the best money you will ever spend.

Mike Shields had nothing to do with this decision. A county deputy named Rosario sued and won. This allowed the county deputies to buy back their time at a lower rate than other agencies officers under the pension portability statutes. It's all stated in the law on the pension board website. I'll bet Ted Street was real happy he came to Lodge #7's meeting. He was said to have issued an opinion that Donahue sort of touted but by his own admission had not read the
Chicago Police Contract which under 17.2 clearly states that the President of Lodge 7 has a right to dismiss Field Reps. and even specifys who the President must send the letter to on the Department to remove a Rep. It would be hard to be any clearer. I am asshamed at the farce that Bill and Mark put on at the meeting with their paid (beer) mob to save Saint Billy from the gallows. I really felt sorry for Bill prior to that meeting and could see giving him another chance but No Way after that specticle. No the SS Dougherty is going down by the bow fast. How stupid of Bill to start all this shit. I am thinking of bringing my own mob next time and getting a resolution passed making me some kind of officer down there with a big salary. I'll bet Mark would find that to be an illegal motion . No wonder Ted Street slipped out the side door
before the end of the meeting, can you blame him? I'll bet he was mumbling to himself all the way back to Springfield, " what did those two assholes get me involved in".

This blog is monitored by Rahm's Peeps, we all know that. If some1 was simply perusing this blog it would be abundantly clear that F.O.P. Lodge 7 is in crisis and even more scarily it's far too apparent that Chicago Police Officers aren't remotely close to being close. Close in terms of so many issues that aren't agreed upon.
I have roughly 10 years on the job(just north) and the most clear issue I can see is the City may B able to simply make fools of us during contract time. This post alone shows constant and petty infighting. We HAVE to get our shit together! Playing devil's advocate it seems the City will come out so far ahead it's simply not funny at all!
Please, Indians and Chiefs, it's not as hard as it seems. One Beatle's Tune comes to mind
"Come Together" and as the man suggested in the song, do it right now!

The reason that this FOP Board has evolved from taking up the issues confronting the members wages, working conditions and contractual rights, to this unnecessary side show of internal conflict is that the newly elected President, Mike Shields, did not implement a very important appointment contained in Article III, Section 1 (c), of the FOP Lodge 7 By-Laws, “He or she shall appoint a parliamentarian” notice it says shall and not may. He is directed by the By-Laws to appoint the parliamentarian and it is one of the few instances where the President is allowed to solely make an appointment without the advice and consent of the Board of Directors. This appointment should have been the new Presidents first official action prior to any officer’s reports being given. There is a very valid reason for this appointment and that is because FOP Chicago Lodge 7 has adopted Roberts Rules of Order to govern all meetings of the lodge and where the Constitution and By-Laws are silent on an issue Roberts Rules of Order shall govern the issue. The president, by not appointing a parliamentarian, has allowed this Board of Directors to be ruled by a Dictator without any regard for the rules that govern the conduct and proceedings of any assembled meeting. A direct quote from Roberts Rules of Order: “Parliamentary procedures are the
rules that help us maintain order and ensure fairness in all decision-making processes. Robert’s Rules of Order is one man’s presentation and discussion of parliamentary procedure that has become the leading authority in most
organizations today”. “In a democratic society, we hold dear many principles of
conduct and self-government. When people come together in their organizations and governments to conduct business, certain rules, referred to collectively as parliamentary procedure, must be applied correctly to maintain these democratic
principles. Organization members commonly make two mistakes: They do not know parliamentary procedure at all, and/or they misapply it because they don’t understand the underlying democratic principles or they want to manipulate them. These mistakes invariably lead to confusion and, in the worst cases, can result in intimidation and the loss of members’ rights.

11/21/2013 02:15:00 AM

For a democracy to succeed, the members must work harmoniously together. To accomplish this, each member must know the purpose and goals of the organization, its rules, the rights of each individual member, and what each member is expected to do. One of the greatest threats to a democratic organization is for the members to become apathetic and let a small group of the membership do all the work. This creates divisions and promotes authoritarianism. Another threat is for a small group to work secretly behind the scenes to accomplish its own goals or its own agenda and then push it through without the rest of the membership having an input either through discussion or through the investigative process. Such actions cause mistrust and hostility.
If the principles of democracy are not upheld in the organization, knowing and following the rules of parliamentary procedure is valueless.

These mf -er's are walking all over the westend of 008 on a daily basis. Trying to convince poeple to let them into their homes to check their gas bills, check thier furnaces, check their water hookups, etc.
Hard to get the police to respond on the westend of 008 when you have two beat cars (811/812)patrolling such a large area.
Go to the beat meetings, call the district, call the aldermen, complain, complain, complain.

Also, there are several FB pages of neighbors that are keeping an eye on the hood too. Join up and you will see.

True why is that commander not called on the carpet? We need more cars how about dedicated tact cars? How about incident car? When I was in 008 in the 80's we had on the west end 811,812,(sector cars 816,817 who stayed on west end), a marked tact car 806D,plus wagon 871,and a tact car everyday! now we have nothing! guess pay the heavy taxes get less service! maybe because we have a commander from the northside he has no vested interest in this community! Yep that's the ticket!

You are 100% correct. 17.2 states "Such leaves may be revoked by only by written notice to the Employer from the President of the Lodge". But what you don't point out is that it took a Board of Directors action initially, giving the president the authority to carry out the request for detail of the 6 persons submitted as field reps. If the president wants to remove a field rep he must go to the Board of Directors, have a motion made to replace Field rep A with Field rep B that would take a 2/3rds majority of the Board of Directors to reverse a prior action. If his motion to replace field rep A with Field rep B is successful he would then notify MLAS that Field rep A is being revoked and Field rep B is the replacement. But when you have a Board of Directors that has been operating for 2 ½ years without any parliamentarian every decision the President makes is correct because there is no parliamentarian to correct him. This is like watching NASCAR where anything goes just to get to the finish line first, versus driving home from the race where there is all kind of rules of the road that have to be followed to promote the safety of everyone on the road. So this race continues on the streets instead of the race track where all the traffic laws are ignored.
Roberts Rules of Order was adopted by FOP Lodge 7 and are a set of rules on conducting the business of the lodge. It provides parliamentary procedures on how meetings will be conducted and is the law when the Constitution and By-Laws are silent on an issue. No place in Roberts Rules of Order or in the Constitution and By-Laws of Chicago FOP 7 does it state that a collective bargaining contract has any binding authority to supersede actions taken by the members, officers or the board of directors. That is why appointing a parliamentarian is so important. If there is any disagreement as to how to proceed or anyone believes the chair has made an incorrect ruling any member may challenge the chair and all business stops until the parliamentarian and the entire board have discussed and identified the proper procedure the member believes was violated and the correct procedure is identified and conformed to . The parliamentarian promotes correct proceedings where every action taken by any member, board or officer of that board, is in compliance with the Constitution, By-Laws and Roberts Rules of Order. You have to ask yourself just one question. Why was a parliamentarian never appointed?
The below quotes are all from Roberts Rules of Order
Those powers not specifically given to officers and boards in the bylaws enable members to reverse decisions made by boards and officers.
Another check and balance that the bylaws give is the right of the membership to remove ineffective or tyrannical leaders from office.
The rules are applied equally, impartially, and fairly to all and not just a select few.
Written procedures exist for removing and replacing an officer when the officer doesn’t fulfill his or her duties.
Whatever the structure of the organization, the president has the authority to do only the things that are assigned to that office by the by-laws. Often, those elected to the office of president misunderstand their role in the organization and believe that the members have given them free reign to run the organization any way they please, thus setting up a dictatorship.

Off topic... There has never been a class made off the old list, once they start the new test. Too bad for the ones that just missed it. & shame on you for not taking the new one. No list will come out before they do merit selections. If they announce merit selections, there will be a list. If not, it will be the top 35 or so from this new test sometime next fall

The FOP will never get another dime in dues money from me! Who needs their $1000 life insurance policy? We are not part of the bargaining agent anymore and they do not represent us, per Jessica, (the next one who should be thrown out) own words.

So we the dues paying members have money deducted each week to pay this president $150,000 a year, Nice New Lincoln covering gas, repairs and an unlimited expense account for the privilege of being told I forgot to send the Retro letter in on time, I forgot to send the unfair labor practice in on time but I will spend a lot of your money through the lawyers appealing the Illinois Labor Boards decision to the Illinois Circuit courts, with a price tag of $10,000.00, because I lost the last 2 appeals at the labor board, can’t off the top of my head remember what those appeals cost. Incidentally, the President of this organization was always given a car because of the many trips to Springfield he had to make during the year lobbying for legislation. However he has paid Mark Donahue to do this part of his job so does he really need a car when then members are paying an additional $70,000.00 per year to do the job all previous presidents have performed. Guarantee he will keep spending our money on this appeal to make sure this case is not heard until after the election. Oh and by the way I have removed from office Bill Dougherty, the most knowledgeable person on any member’s problems regarding medical issues. If anyone insists that I play by the rules of this organization, I get rid of them, just ask my secretary. Having fun and living like a king at your expense, Nice.
