We've certainly noticed this in our tax rate and withholding lately, even though Obama, Quinn and Rahm claim it's all either "free" or "for the children."

Fox Business listed the 5 worst states to be a tax payer. Illinois was number 5 at 29% higher then the national median. With a little work we can be number 1!.
remember the so-called temporary 66 percent state income tax increase.

Algore once defined a millionaire as someone who made $250K four years in a row. What people need to realize is that to a democrat politician, all money really belongs to the government, and it's up to the government to decide how much of it's money you can spend.

Hey I live in Texas and our taxes are a lot lower than yours. Life in a low tax state is not a bowl of cherries. The state spends less per pupil on schools, medicare does not pay out as much, section 8 housing is lower and there is a waiting list for free-low cost housing, unemployment pays less. All in all our state assistance is lower, more people are forced to work in order to eat and have a roof over their head. Life can be mean and brutal in a low tax state. Oh yea, and you would not believe how many people have guns and how many guns each person owns.

Taxes have been perverted by politicians with the support of a liberal media. Originally, a tax levied by the government was intended merely to support the government. Today taxes are used to take from one group and give to another. Something never intended.
The truth of the matter, when people have looked at financial status of the legislatures, democrats have as much if not more in holdings then republicAns. Look at John Kerry, one of the richest men in America. The Clintons, Obama, and I could go on.Durbin always goes for class arguments, but he is a wealthy man.
We are top heavy with social programs politicians refuse to cut. It is the welfare state! Look at what is happening in France with the rich, the young, the best and the brightest fleeing that country because of the taxes and over regulation. That is what is happening here.

The government pensioners that I hate are the "politically connected" hacks who have become filthy rich in government employment, retire and claim a generous pension, and then resurface in a second or third public job, and clear additional pensions simultaneously. Case in point, the p.o.s. Wayne D. Watson, a hack masquerading as an education administrator, who is in the process of destroying Chicago State University while drawing a simultaneous $200K pension from his years of ruining the City Colleges of Chicago. But for his political connections to Emil Jones, the Jetster and Leon Finney, this bum would be lucky to qualify for a job emptying garbage cans. He is a dictatorial imbecile who discriminates against whites regularly for good measure. Cowardly Pat Quinn could have canned this clown, but he allows this man to continue to draw a sizeable paycheck because he wants votes from Emil Jones on Election Day.

That also means many of the career deadbeats move to states such as Minnesota and Illinois that pay more in welfare, have plenty of low-income housing and unemployment pays more.
More guns in Texas, you say? Chicago had some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country and still managed to be the country's murder capital.

Not one billionaire muthafuckah tied to Emanuel is going to spend millions of HIS MONEY (to purchase an elected office) out of altruism, goodwill, bonhomie and other such and not check for some kick-ass quid pro quo for himself and/or others who fly in that rarefied air with him at the expense of the peed on peons.
It's out in the open that these people have targeted muni employees for some powerful hurt because their friends on Wall Street have run out of other people's money to play with.
It doesn't take rocket science to see that on a national level, muni employee pensions are the very last "honey pots" of mostly unmolested and unfucked with money.
It drove the Wall Streeters crazy not to be able to get their hands on this money for so long. What we're seeing now is a culmination of 20+ years of setting the table to villify muni employees as "greedy" and softening up the general public with non-stop media spin to eventually make it ok to divest muni employees of their pensions and give it to people like Rahm and Rauner to "invest." (read as taking obscene profits)
It'll be like what happened to that Police pension money that was gifted to Davis/Vanecko Realty.
The money is fucking GONE and these ASSHOLES made their commission with NO FUCKING ACCOUNTABILITY for what happened.
This being Chicago... The D/V Realty fiasco was just a test run with people like Rahm, Rauner and the Wall Streeters taking notes on how to take this act of financial bojankery nationwide to make THEIR money while blowing up muni employee pensions.
As of yet... NO ONE has articulated how/why targeting muni employees with destruction is such a good fucking idea.
No one is saying shit about the entrenched, corrupt democratic political leadership in these large urban centers where muni employees are being blamed for budget woes and incompetent fiscal policies.

If either the repubs or the democrats were worth a ounce of spit, the party that had merit would dominate in all three branches of govt.
Illinois has been the end of the line for endless migrants since the 1940's, and the age of factory and labor jobs has long ago outpaced the arriving workforce.
The dems and repubs in Illinois both want guest workers, legalization, and tax cuts aimed at global capitol, not domestic industries.
The only solution is a populist 3rd party. The private sector pays the salaries of public sector workers, and when you outsource industry and flood the market with 8/hr. guest workers from mexico, you end up with public sector wages that such a tax base can afford, such as in mexico or in the public sector unions of Gov Walkers Wisconsin
