Aldercreature DUI
- A Northwest Side alderman was arrested early Friday morning and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, an Illinois State Police spokeswoman said today.
Ald. Rey Colon, 35th, was stopped about 1 a.m. Friday on the Eisenhower Expressway near Homan Avenue, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said. Colon was charged with misdemeanor DUI.
Colon, 53, was stopped after his 2006 Honda was seen drifting between westbound lanes without signaling as he prepared to exit the highway, Bond said. After being given field sobriety tests, he was arrested and charged with DUI, driving on an expired license, improper lane use and failure to signal.
Expired license? Ray too busy to stand in line? We're just surprised that an aldercreature drives himself around.

Had a lot going on and it was my fault, I blame no one else but my self. I was gigged by an inspector for having expired plates. "Iron Mike" hit me pretty good. Will this Creature Colon have the same fair penalty? Even after the PC appears 2B the actual expired plates.
This Creature will walk! In The Chicago Caste System the creatures R still far above us and NOTHING will happen to Creature Colon. Wielding a vehicle thst weighs at least a ton, intoxicated, and absent of the responsibility to simply renew the plates would have me sitting at home for awhile. This Creature Colon will NOT B punished!

Thank you Illinois State Police. I have lived in the Logan Square area for over 20 years and I am amazed at how stupid these yuppies are to have elected and re-elected this thug. I remember when the "concerned citizens of Logan Square" said his election is about respect! Well, it seems like the only lack of respect has been at the hands of Reynaldo colon and that was of our laws! Your next, to be put out of public office, just like that Edward Reyes guy.

I will always appreciate Colon for the fact that he voted against the parking deal, one of only 5 alderman to do so. He used to be my alderman, now I'm stuck with Moreno.

Sure Like Fran Hurley the elected official is nothing more than a bought and paid for democrat operative that only has the party intrest at heart. Not the peoples intrest. Elections are a popularity contests sponsored by the elite establishment with money to maintain power control and fleece the tax payer. Government is an outta control spending monster that is eating the future generations chance of any individualism or prosperity. You are absolutely wrong. Everyone person on this planet must EARN respect, and furthermore, everyone must continue to behave in a manner to keep that earned respect.
We, the people, "employ" these aldermen with our tax dollars, and we expect them to not be out swigging down booze and then getting behind the wheel of an automobile. If an elected official cannot even uphold the law for public safety, then I question his/her ability to uphold the law on anything.
