Let us keep in mind that with managing all the on going world crisis, plus domestic problems, immigration, the border and trying work with an unruly and uncooperative congress the President has been under great mental and physical stress for the past year. He needs a week or so to finally play a little golf and recharge his batteries. This is a well earned mini-vacation. It is not easy being the leader of the free world.
The USA has funded ISIS via weapons and training we sent to a group in Syria.

It's like sending a bunch of weapons down to the drug cartels and then playing the good guy trying to take the moral high ground by granting sanctuary to the children fleeing the terrible violence that you created.

The Cubs didn't have enough groundskeepers last night for the rain delay. Many of them are part-time so the Cubs don't have to pay in to Obamacare.
If it was Bush, the media would be hawking this as a sign of how disconnected he is to the world's problems but Obama's lapdog's at MSNBC are describing this as a sign of how cold and calculating he is. According to them, the fact that he stayed on his multi-million $ vacation while the world was collapsing and a US citizen was being beheaded shows how he has a handle on everything. I realize that as the media wing of the Dem Party, MSNBC has to say nonsense like that but the scary part is how many people believe it.

From the UK side of the pond Cameron does not fill me with confidence. He has cut UK police numbers by 16000 officer posts since 2010 and put in place wage cuts for new recruits, not that many UK forces seem to be recruiting at the moment, in addition the ruling Conservative party have run an orchestrated anti-police campaign since their election in 2010.
The UK political class have created a situation where these returning Jihadi types will cause trouble in the UK but they (the politicians) see a chance of gaining votes among the minorities by criticising the police. There has never been much of an appetite among the UK political class to confront these people so we in the UK will see more trouble from them.
If as, a UK resident, I can comment your current President does seem a bit 'detached' doesn't he?
