Disgraced ASA Looking for a Job
- Sarah Naughton left her job as a prosecutor after an off-duty run-in with police that included her berating and allegedly swatting at a cop
But that widely publicized episode hasn’t discouraged the politically connected lawyer from trying to get back on the public payroll — in a job working with law enforcement officers.
Naughton’s unusual brush with fame began back in September 2012.
A prosecutor with the Cook County state’s attorney’s office, she was arrested by Chicago police for an off-duty incident that followed a day of drinking and involved a scuffle with a North Side shopkeeper.
Just a reminder:
A "scuffle?" As we recall, she bit the shop owner, didn't she? And the abuse recorded and uploaded on YouTube was definitely "R" rated. Amazingly, a crooked Cook County judge cleared her of all charges although an ARDC hearing is still pending. But hey, if a criminal record can't keep you from political office, why should a little thing like biting a store owner, resisting arrest and generally making an ass of yourself keep you from a government job? It seems that the private sector isn't willing to take a chance on her.

A CPS teacher Scott Gallus (2013 salary = $115K + $30K in pension and medical benefits) was removed from his HVAC teaching position at Prosser Career Academy High School for having an affair with a student. No word on when he was removed.
The Cook County Court Computer that he was arrested in September, and the police report (RD) number matches a sexual abuse incident in 2013, plus he’s been indicted twice since then on more sex assault and sex abuse-related charges.

Have the court add a line on the written complaints that if the complainant fails to show without good cause they will be held responsible for costs related to the arrest.

There are lots of police haters working with the CPD. The Cop hating Aldermans daughter, you know the one who was protesting in Ferguson and on Michigan ave on black Friday against the police, works in a CPD facility. She works for a social agency that "helps" kids after they are arrested.

I think you are missing the point. She works for a department that actively goes after cops when they screw up. She then does the same, tries to intimidate the arresting officers then uses her connections to get found not guilty when any one of us would have been looking at time, fired and the media would make sure our incident would follow us around for the rest of our life. I agree with you on giving people a second chance. If she was some working stiff who screwed up I'm all for second chances. I give many tax payers a break when I can. The States Attorneys office is not your friend and will sell you down the river in a heartbeat to make a name for themselves. They don't go after real criminals because they have nothing to hold over them. They go after Cops because it looks good and they know they can mess with you and your family.

The City Council approved the contract on 05NOV14, and 75 days drom that date was 19JAN15.
If he ballerina waited another week to sign the approved contract by City Council, then the corresponding dates would be 12NOV14 with retro payable 75 days later on 26JAN15. That is today....so the check is late and the FOP is full of shit.
So what we probably have here is collusion by the City to with-hold payment for as long as they can in order to generate interest, thereby financially harming members of the FOP. Will the FOP address this? No, they are bought and paid for. How long before Disability Dean Jr makes meritorious Sergeant and then Lieutenant?

No one lost their pension, had a reduction in benefits, no one took a pay cut or lost their job. What HAS happened under Scott Walker is that the teachers up here now have to contribute 12% on their salary to the cost of their health care. Policemen and firemen contribute nothing. Walker saw through all the teachers union BS and dealt with it. That's why you saw all those protests in Madison lately. He realized that the Policemen and Firemen are the most important members of the public employees and treated them accordingly.
If you want to believe the Jesse Sharkey's or the Karen Lewis's of the world, then have at it. But remember, they are Communists, the same Communists that marched down in Ferguson and wear those Hands Up Don't Shoot or I Can't Breath t shirts. The Chicago Public School Teachers Union hates the Police. Scott Walker does not.

She was working as a defense attorney out in Markham. Maybe she had another asthma attack and couldn't find her inhaler.

The retro checks have to be out before the close of business day 03 Feb 15. I would never expect the city to do it any faster then they have too.
I also heard the checks are already printed and ready to go out. There a many problems in the payouts for people who have retired since the last contract expired. They have to go over those by hand. Also a group of po's who had a step raise for 25 years have to be redone to reflect that raise. That was done today.
So the hair gels may have to wait till next week to buy the new Google watch, the new Apple ipad air and the new Apple iphone 6.

I used to work with Peppermint Patty in 019. Her cousins Jim Dandy, Red Wagon, Jose Canusee, John Daniels and Manuel Labor were also through there for a cup of coffee.
Tom Collins worked there also with his assistant, Rumand Coke.
Oh yeah, my property taxes have gone down one hundred dollars for two years in a row now. Tell me when that has happened in Illinois.
