Now the Truth is "Regrettable"
- Offering rare public comment on state politics, Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke said Tuesday it was "regrettable" that Gov. Bruce Rauner characterized the high court as untrustworthy and part of a "corrupt system" in remarks earlier this year.
"Well, I think it's regrettable if he said that," Burke said after a speech at the City Club of Chicago.
"I just have to tell you that my colleagues are outstanding legal educators. They've been in the law for their whole lives," she said. "They're good people. Honest, moral, ethical. And I can unequivocally say that isn't true."
We'll agree that Judge Bob Thomas is a "honest, moral, ethical" person, seeing as how he never tanked a kick that we had money riding on, but the rest of them?
This from a woman who is married to an aldercreature who has routinely "amended" the Council record after he votes on ordinances that might present a conflict of interest to his law practice. Can anyone tell us what brilliant legal opinions the honorably connected judge has authored or argued before the Courts?

Anne Burke commenting on corruption....how delightfully droll.
Honesty will not be tolerated in our society.
Zero times Zero equals Zero. Who is she kidding? Regrettable my foot. Phony baloney.
Lawyers are by profession highly ethical and honest.
Of course they're brilliant legal minds! They agree with the progressive agenda, they ARE BRILLIANT! You damn conservatives and your opinion that if you want to eat, you should get a job! RACISTS! HOMOPHOBES! REACTIONARY ZEALOTS! XENOPHOBES! I'd call us Nazis, but they were socialists, much like our current crop of nazi-like democrats.
Yawn.....typical Illinois cloutocracy.
When someone calls you on the clout and corruption (which is REAL and RAMPANT) - it's "OHHH...the Humanity......how could someone say something like this?"
COME ON!!!!
One good thing I heard yesterday, the Baltimore Prosecutor Mosby may be up on charges. Hope she gets dis-barred
We don't need lawyers like that around - especially in a position where you are supposed to be impartial,,,,,and smart.
Remember what Bob cooley said about the burkes? 100% true and that was just a 'snow cone shave' of the iceberg!
She lost me at "They're good people. Honest, moral, ethical".
Right Anne Burke ....Lisa Madigan
The Connections All my family members need to get paid
We'd be better off with El Chapo
Remember this a fight between the Daley/Emanuel/Rauner cartel and the Madigan/Burke Cartel.
And that is the regrettable truth.........
Rauner has it right
If there is truly a God in heaven, a republican will be elected president and appoint someone (Trey Gowdy?) to Atty. General to clean out the five families of Chicago crime (Burke, Daley, Mell, Emanuel and Cullerton) and their Capo's and associates.
Can anyone tell us what brilliant legal opinions the honorably connected judge has authored or argued before the Courts?
Sorry SCC......could you repeat the question. A bunch of crickets started chirping and I couldn't hear the answer.
It might be regrettable, but it's the Truth.
You mean Anne Burke who orchestrated the taking of a child from his mother so she could look caring to the rest of the world?
"Honest, moral, ethical."
Yeah. Rham was a citizen of Chicago before he ran for mayor.
Yup.
Both Anne and Eddie should be in jail. Cooley testified that he gave them both bribes to fix cases and no follow up by the feds. Everyone else Cooley testified against went to jail, go figure.
Ann was never in a court room thanks to ERV now ERV is in court for the second time and will go off to jail for the second time!

It is ALL the fault of White people. Period.
We will all be better off when Donald Trump sits in the White House. Dump the lying democrats at each election.

Side note: "When Corruption Was King" by Robert Cooley. Interesting book about Chicago and the CPD back in the day.
Anne Burke is to anti-corruption as Jane Fonda is to patriotism.
I agree with 7/15/2015 10:51:00 AM above.
Read Cooley's book, "When Corruption Was King"
He clearly makes both Ed and Anne Burke complicit in crimes that should have sent them to jail, not to the City Council or Illinois Supreme Court.
What a sick place Illinois is. All families in charge. Burke's Daley's Madigans etc etc. Clinton's Bush etc etc. At the national level. What an sick place.
It's all about perspective isn't ...
"They're good people. Honest, moral, ethical.
And I can unequivically say it isn't true."
Hey Anne, Dr. Freud called and said you should make an appointment to discuss the subconscious truth in your last sentence.
Trey Gowdy for Attorney General?
That would be an INCREDIBLE choice.
Next case.
If there is truly a God in heaven, a republican will be elected president and appoint someone (Trey Gowdy?) to Atty. General to clean out the five families of Chicago crime (Burke, Daley, Mell, Emanuel and Cullerton) and their Capo's and associates.
God.....could you imagine?
Ha! The same judges that allowed Rahm take job in Washington take his family move rent out his home town in Chicago pay income taxes in Washington and use schools systems there and still say he resides in Chicago.
What sick story Illinois is. No other place is run by so many dirtbag family members from Chicago. Imagine being a hard working family living downstate and having to stomach these fools.
Kanerva v. Weems July 2014
• Illinois Supreme court 6-1 decision ruled that health insurance premiums are a protected retirement benefit.
The lone holdout? You guessed it, Justice Anne Burke.
she is cut from the same cloth of corruption

I call bullshit on that!
Cooley said whatever he had to, to save his own rat skin.
Anyone know why fat Phil avoided prosecution while the rest took a hit way back when??
It was said the reason Anne and Eddie never were indicted is because they turned rat and still supply the G with info. It figures what else can it be.
