Time for Phleger Dollars!

You know, if Pfather Pfleger is going to interject himself in the political arena, it's time the Church started paying taxes:
  • Protesters threatened to disrupt Black Friday shopping along the Midwest’s most luxurious stretch of retail in response to the release of a video showing a white Chicago police officer fatally shooting a black teenager 16 times.
Because North Michigan Avenue retailers had anything to do with a PCP-whacked out, knife-wielding car burglar getting shot. Makes perfect sense.
  • “It has to be an economic hit,” Father Michael Pfleger, a Catholic priest and activist, said while walking with protesters on a breezy Chicago night. “That’s what people listen to -- money.”
Nothing about reason, evidence, rule of law. Nope, just a money squeeze. Well, speaking of "an economic hit," looks like it's time to roll out the Pfleger Dollars again:

Toss a few of these in the collection basket so maybe Blase gets the message to rein in this idiot.

The economic hit will come to the Catholic church and my parish collection basket, on Sunday my envelope will contain a note saying you have seen your last dollar from.me until Father Faker is no longer a priest at St Sabinas. If this idiot can call out economic punishments on business's that did nothing wrong then I call for economic sanctions against his boss the Catholic Church who has repeatedly failed to discipline their employee.

Oh, but what about the starving children the Church helps?

Fuck em. Shows them life's real.

Sorry. But when you assault the thin blue line that keeps savages away. And encourage more violence to people that have nothing to do with your alleged grievance? Then you deserve to be totally financially fucked. Every war has collateral damage. This one will too.

The news report about protests in Chicago following seeing in video the killing of a black teen by a white Police officer by shooing 16 times is shocking. The protests , however, prove accuracy of this Vedic astrology writer’s prediction of June last in article – Total lunar eclipse of 28 September 2015 and world – published in Summer 2015 ( June) issue of The Astrologer’s Notebook from Florida. Just reproducing the text of related part of prediction :- -“During second half of 2015 , racial or communal impulses may need to be carefully checked or controlled”. Further said : “ Though second half of 2015 seems to be causing concern , months October and November of 2015 are likely to trigger many unwelcome things out of above mentioned aspects or areas of life”. Advance information could be useful to the concerned.

When push comes to shove , THEIR opinion outweighs all others . When they've lost enough money ... they're gonna remember how important the police are ; and they're gonna give 9-diget a new opinion .

If the officer's first couple of shots were fatal (whether it took 2 seconds or 2 minutes to die from them) then why do any shots after that matter? The PCP attacker spun around, faced officers from a short distance, the first one or two shots (head/neck) would be fatal, fell down, the outcome of death would be the same whether 0 or 100 shots followed. Murder, not even close. Excessive force on a corpse, maybe. Cop needs good forensic experts.

How many years has he hidden behind his collar, creating this false narrative of a savior to the African American community? Your just a man, Phleger, not a savior, not even a very good priest. I talked to the Archdiocese of Chicago the other day and flat out told them that I will not give my local parish one cent of my hard earned money, until they finally remove this asshole from the Church- permanently. He's not only preaching hate, he's advocating hate in that church of his. He has never taught any type of Catholic dogma/Catholic doctrine or the rules of the Church at any point in his sorry career as "priest." He's an embarrassment to the Church, and every Catholic in the world.

The Church needs to rediscover their backbone, and ex-communicate this asshole. The Church is much bigger than him and his "flock," and it would be no loss to the Church to get rid of all of them. Let them go to some other denomination on the South Side where the good Rev. will preach hatred on a weekly basis against the police and anybody who opposes them on any topic. There's plenty of these Rev.'s all over the South Side of Chicago to accommodate Father Faker's people. We all know that these phony Rev's are full of hate and vitriol, and are bigots themselves. However, hate, on any level, does not belong in the Catholic church, which is why the Church must act now to get rid of this jerk-off once and for all.

On the flipside, there's a lot of Catholic coppers and firefighters out there, along with their families. We, as city workers and Catholics, are the backbone of this city. It's high time that EVERYBODY start notifying the Archdiocese of Chicago and letting them know that the money in the basket will be drying up as long as the Church allows this man to remain a "priest."

Everybody needs to take action and DO IT KNOW. Let the Archdiocese know that we've had it with this asshole's actions, and we are no longer going to take it. And we will show it by encouraging all our friends and family to stop giving money to their local parishes.

The boycott very much needs to start now.

As a Catholic, I believe we should listen to Pfleger's advice. Hit the Catholic Church in the exact way Pfleger hits society. No money in the Contribution Basket, maybe a note that says "Until Pfleger is dealt with and removed, no Donation will be made by our family." Maybe when the Catholic Church starts losing money in the Donations, they will do the right thing, and send Pfleger to St. Louis, or Ferguson.

Sorry, but your either a troll and if not, a liar.

For the sake of argument, lets say you are a catholic priest. You and your bretheren have a history of covering for each other. No need to get into sordid details. And you call for silence in dealing with this abomination, this charlatan Phaker.

Aggressive action is called for, not silence. Hit the Catholic church right where it will hurt the most, the collection plate.

I'm Lutheran, and my church is well off because of the size of the congregation and it's a congregation that gives generously to other parishes, mostly catholic, in the city.

I told my Pastor that if the church continues to give to catholic parishes I was done contributing and would campaign for my fellow members to let the collection plates go dry.

I'm CPD too.

Currently, there is now an opening for Our Lady of the Favela in Rio de Janeiro. There is also speculation that the Vatican may elevate him to Cardinal for the Archdiocese of Antartica.

Cupich lives in the rectory at Holy Name Cathedral. It will be money well spent for the stamp if we all put a photo copy of the Pfleger buck in an envelope along with a personal note of the situation attached informing him this is the only money the Church will be getting until Pfleger is dispatched from the Midwest if not completely removed from ministry.

Holy Name Cathedral Parish Rectory
730 N Wabash Ave
Chicago, IL 60611
(312) 787-8040

The church is on State St, the Rectory/(his residence and mailing address) is on Wabash. Give your friends and family one of the bills and a stamp too!

It might even be worth a note to the Pope. A little public embarrassment could go a long way, and if the Vatican gets wind of someone causing an interruption in their cash flow they might reach out themselves.

Pope Francis does not have a public email address. If you wish to write to the Pope, you may do so at the following address:

His Holiness, Pope Francis
Apostolic Palace
Vatican City

And, the following is the way to send your "donations" to the Pope. This is your donation to his "charitable work"!!! I'm sure they will appreciate a few Pfleger bucks, with your note of the situation attached. (I'm sure when his envelope openers get a bunch of the notes and Pfleger bucks, it will be brought to his attention).

Make donations payable to "Obolo di San Pietro” and send to the following mail address:

Ufficio Obolo di San Pietro
00120 - Città del Vaticano

I sent this to Archbishop Cupich just now. Go to the Archdiocese website and you will find a number of email addresses to send it to. I redacted my name for the blog.

----------------------------------

Most Reverend Cupich,

In my 51 years as a loyal catholic, being painfully blunt, I have never been more ashamed of my church.

The xxxxxxx's have been active in the Roman Catholic faith since my great grandfather came over from Poland at the turn of the century. My great grandfather helped to orchestrate the acquisition of the land for Saint Adalbert's Cemetary. Milwaukee Avenue was barely a dirt road then. My grandfather printed St. Pascal's weekly bulletins for decades (from 1924 until his death in 1950) at his expense. In his basement. On his printing press (he was a printer). My Father (a broadcast engineer) helped St. Pascals and later Immaculate Conception with the audio address systems at the churches. For decades since, every fund drive was met with our families generosity for decades since then. Until now.

How and WHY the Archdiocese lets this Priest Father Phlager run unchecked is a mystery to me. His actions and conduct are contrary to the actions that every other Priest that I have come into contact with in my lifetime. His actions cheapen his Office and smack of a store front preacher.

Quoting Father Hardin's writings (in part): Priests are told to carry out obediently the commands and suggestions of the Pope, their bishop and their superiors. There are two profound insights here. The first is that perfect obedience in anyone, here in a priest, does not wait to be commanded. In fact, by the time a person has to be commanded, he or she may still obey of course, but that is not the main function of obedience, to give solemn commands. True obedience responds even to the suggestions or intimations of ecclesiastical authority.

Humble and Humility should certainly be a goal too.

For him to advocate for protests and disruptions in the City on the busiest shopping day of the year; causing financial loss and hardship to hundreds of businesses that employ thousands of people is reckless, scandalous, and wholly outside of the scope of his duties to serve our faith and our Lord.

We need those jobs and every cent of tax revenue that Michigan Avenue provides us.

Paraphrasing what Father Phlager said: Hit them in their pocketbooks. Well. So be it.

The Archdiocese will not get one more red cent from me until the Most Reverend Cupich reins Father Phlager in. Period.

Do I cosign for what the Chicago Police Officer did? Absolutely not. However, he will answer to his superiors, the court and ultimately he will have to answer to God for what he did.

May God forgive me one day for my decision. Mine alone. However other Catholics that I have spoken with concur and are also planning on severing donations to our Church unless something is done, quickly.

May God forgive Father Phlager for his deliberate indifference and his (and I'll say it) criminal incitement of riotous activity.

Most Reverend Cupich, I beg of you, call Father Phlager in and tone down his conduct immediately for the good of our Church and our City.

God Bless you and all of the good men and women of the church.

Respectfully,

Redacted (Signed)

The message is clear: The days of the activist cleric are over. This should mean that the Church's "habit of having a comment on virtually every contested issue in American public life" is out of fashion.

While Pope Francis wants Pfleger and his ilk to get back to spiritual ministry, the rogue priest has shown no signs of softening his tongue. In May 2007, Pfleger notoriously encouraged an anti-gun crowd to "snuff" out a local gun seller. Pfleger later claimed he didn't mean it, but the damage had already been done. Then in May 2008, as election-watchers will remember, Pfleger delivered a sermon from Jeremiah Wright's pulpit that mocked Hillary Clinton. The cardinal sent Pfleger on a 2-week retreat for that dust up.

In an April 2010 homily, Pfleger professed his support for women's ordination. Some days later, an "apology" appeared on the Archdiocese's website...

Father Pfleger has been politicking for over thirty years, and for what? His Auburn-Gresham neighborhood is still one of the most dangerous in Chicago. The renegade priest's partisan social gospel doesn't seem to be working.

Chicago's black Catholics deserve better. The South Side would be well served if the city's next archbishop replaces Pfleger and his antics with a priest who is seriously committed to the spiritual needs of his flock. Pope Francis sure knows a thing or two about that.

"Hey come these protesters are allowed to block store entrances?"

11/27/2015 08:47:00 PM

Not to mention shut down major streets.

A. -- Because Rahm Emanuel is scared of them.

Therefore, the civil rights of innocent people to travel freely and go about their lawful personal business are sacrificed for "political correctness."

As the protesters chanted --

"Who run this shit?

"We run this shit!"

...not that a one of them owns a store there, or works in it, or shops in it, or does anything much other than to occasionally steal a van and smash it through the doors so that the rat-swarm can help themselves to $2000 handbags and stuff.

Mayor Daley lost control of the central business district, and the trend is worsening under Emanuel.

...and they had some girl from Detroit shrilling out her crap on the radio today.

Detroit used to have a great downtown too. Today?

Happened there. Is happening here.

More "protests" starting up again today.

Anti-PCP march? They got "DRUGS KILL" painted on that coffin they'll be lugging around?

Chants of "POLICE SAY! DROP THE KNIFE!"

Naw.

"Hey jesse & Fr. Faker - Did you ever stop to think how you financially screwed the employees of the stores or the wait staffs of the Mich Ave restaurants? Of course not!"

Not one of these "champions of the proletariat" gives a s__t about the working poor who might be struggling on tips and commissions. Stores are increasingly competing with the Internet -- maybe Pfleger's "economic hit" will speed their demise, and we'll see store windows full of "FOR LEASE" "FOR LEASE" "FOR LEASE" signs down there, as has happened in so many other neighborhoods.

Way to go, guys.

Damn right he's scarred of them because each one of them represents several votes.

Cops on the other hand don't bother to vote.

Would Deano get out and push a BLUE VOTES MATTER CAMPAIGN.

No, because he's got something nice, a six-figure no-show second pension job lined up after he leaves FOP. But piss off Rahm and that disappears.

Fuck all of them. Register and Vote!

If you can prove the above I'll be to campaign manager. Post your name and your proof. But I think your full of shit. Shields and Dougherty are both working in District Patrol. I hear Donahue is looking for any work he can find. But everyone get taken care off when their not the FOP president?

Jimmy Ade is another story!
