ACLU Whines "Not Our Fault"

Saw this comment in yesterday's post about the qualified immunity being gutted:
  • They make it impossible for us to do anything and then when we don't they invent away to sue us
  • Authorities last year suggested Chicago’s spike in gun violence in 2015 was due to the “Ferguson effect” — cops afraid to do their jobs because of the scrutiny following the shooting of a black teenager by a white officer in 2014 in Ferguson, Missouri.

But with Chicago now plagued with an even steeper rise in fatal shootings in January, compared with the same period of 2015, street cops are offering a new reason: the “ACLU effect.”

They say the Chicago Police Department’s pact with the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois to monitor police stops in greater detail is prompting officers to stop policing, leaving the streets to the criminals and leading to the spike in gun violence.
Um, duh? Who wants to stop two or three jagoffs and end up with an hour or two worth of paperwork? An hour or two away from actively patrolling. An hour or two that will be scrutinized by an entire platoon of lawyers looking for any little error with which to make an example of you and cost you many many hours worth of suspension time?

It's far easier to only ride on real crime being committed rather than quality-of-life stops or street corner dope sales or any other of a dozen stops that might lead to something, but more-likely-than-not, only lead to paperwork.

The ACLU is already laying the blame on the police:
  • But the ACLU rejects any correlation between declining street stops and rising violence, said Karen Sheley, director of police practices for the ACLU of Illinois. Other cities have scaled back their street stops without an explosion of shootings, she said.

The reduction of “invasive” street stops is actually a good thing, Sheley said.
Remember, this is the woman who just a few weeks ago was applauding the reduction in stops. And she "rejects any correlation"? The ACLU is staffed by a special kind of stupid, aren't they? She's seems to have forgotten when the NYPD scaled back stop-and-frisk by something like 97%, shootings went through the roof. We imagine Chicago is experiencing the same upsurge...like St Louis did, and Ferguson, and Baltimore.
  • The ACLU had pushed for the changes to allow for better monitoring of stop-and-frisk practices and their impact on minorities. The ACLU released a report in March that found blacks accounted for 72 percent of stops between May and August of 2014, but just 32 percent of the city’s population.
72% of stops...72% of stops... Where have we seen a statistic like that before? Oh yeah, at HeyJackass.com, where blacks accounted for 80% of the shooting victims and 70% of the identified assailants. Imagine that. And it's holding exactly true for 2016.
  • The ACLU also reviewed 250 contact cards filled out after stops, and found that half didn’t list a lawful reason for them.
That's not what we're hearing from people who probably know. The ACLU is actively searching for "wrongdoing." The are contacting people who have been stopped and asking all manner of leading questions in an effort to jam someone up:
  • Are you sure you weren't handcuffed;
  • Didn't they go through your pockets;
  • Did you get a receipt (even when not required);
  • Can we get a copy of your receipt
We have one story where the ACLU contacted the subject of a stop and attempted to get him to lie about his receipt that he had already thrown away and to falsely accuse the officers of not giving him the receipt. The subject turned out to be a paid informant and called his handlers to see if the ACLU was about to burn him to the people he's been snitching on. True? We have no idea, but we'd believe many things about the ACLU before we'd believe in a fair Chicago Police Department promotional exam.

We are going to be damned one way or the other.

Better get use to being called on the carpet. We have always been dammed if we do our jobs. But now we are being called out for not doing them. The sheep wanted this.

The supervisors have all seen the writing on the wall. They tried to understand what 3510 S. Michigan was spawning. But has anyone been to a recent roll call lately? We can barely get through one without simple questions coming up regarding any one of the recent change in department orders or rescinding of McCarthy's command structure. Let alone the great FETAL comments that placed each officer in jeopardy and where city hall wants them to fail.

Without competent leadership the poor officer on the street has lost any motivation.
With the constant bashing from the media and the lack of support from the community and mayor you can see how and why crime is increasing. Why stop anyone? Why chase any bad guy?

I love the media going to see Officers playing hoops with the kids.
But ask yourself why is this a news story. Because News affairs has to put some positive spin with officers in some good stories or we will eventually start looking like the police in Iraq or Iran where no one calls for the police.

In 29 years I have seen the Department go through some heavy scandals. But this is much more, this has taken the breath out of this Department. All while they keep kicking the remains. My Love of this job is gone. My paranoid concern for my own survival has taken over and I cannot wait to pull the pin.

I am so tired of this crap. Rant over!

Then they say we got your back along with the men in suits who claim if you do your job correctly following all laws you wont get sent to prison....Biggest joke ever!

Sadly,, it's ironic that the ACLU and BLM movement have caused the death of more lives. They can deny it all they want, but we k ow it's true. Just like the "elite" scholars are trying to debunk the Ferguson effect even though basic research of the numbers shows it holds true.
Be careful, civilian political hacks in IPRA with one week of "homicide " training are investigating your shootings. This is in conflict with the new state law. FOP where are you?

Do you know what all this distills down to for the average Joe thinking about going to Chicago for something downtown?

You better be packing because from all this "commotion" - don't count on the police.

If the police aren't "cleaning up the streets", who is? No one.

"Go to Chicago, but be aware - Travel at your own risk." That is what I get out of all this.

My take? Don't go down to Chicago at all.

Please - ALL politicians take note: Say good-bye to $$$$ and tax revenues.

Let all the Black Lives Matter crowd fund all your events.

As to retail? Nieman's will move out on North Michigan and you will be lucky to get a Dollar General store in its place.

Consider the doublespeak inherent throughout the "progressive" Goliath's flowery self-representation:

The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country.

Now contrast that depiction with ACLU founder Roger Baldwin's candid vision:
I am for socialism, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself... I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.

http://www.redstate.com/paul_j_cella/2011/01/04/the-aclus-communist-origins/

The origins of the American Civil Liberties Union are deeply entangled with Communism. Not the idealistic “liberals in a hurry” stuff of fellow-travelling fairy tale, but the bloody-minded sedition and revolutionary terror of hard historical reality.

[ACLU founder Roger] Baldwin’s radicalism caught the eye of the FBI, which quoted him in a 1924 report as having said: “The right to advocate a violent revolution, assassination, and proletarian Red guard, are all clearly within scope of free speech …”

The ACLU founder traveled to Stalin’s Russia in 1927 and wrote a book titled “Liberty Under The Soviets” the following year, which defended the Lenin’s and Stalin’s repression of dissent because they “are weapons in the transition to socialism.”

Radical Origins

Roger Baldwin was a leftist radical long before he founded his famous “civil rights” union. Biographer Robert C. Cottrell admiringly describes him as “one of the nation’s leading figures in left-of-center circles.” Baldwin was a friend and admirer of Anarchist leader Emma Goldman, who once conspired with self-described “Communist Anarchist” Alexander Berkman to murder a businessman who was hiring strikebreakers to replace union workers.

Other charter members of the ACLU included Socialist Crystal Eastman and Communists Elizabeth Gurley Flynn; and William Z. Foster, who would later serve as General Secretary of the Communist Party USA

I'm not sure why this is a surprise to the ACLU that blacks get stopped more than white. Most of the violent crime is in the black community, leading to our CPD leaders to put most of the extra resource (VRI, Impact Officers) in these same communities. Of course blacks will account for more than 70% of stops - that's where the crime is. - that's where the extra cops are!! Not rocket science. Hey, ACLU, Chicago is one of the most racially segregated cities in the world - we have very few neighborhoods that have an equal mix of different races. Most are all black, all white, all Hispanic......,

The vary term "Invasive Street Stops"implies that the police are wrong for making the stop! Yet, the reality is that Community Policing is based upon the principle of Proactive Policing. Proactive means you identify problems and attempt to stop them before they reach fruition. So if you have over 200 people of color shot last month, by other people of color (except for the ones shot by shop keepers being robbed), it is safe to say that a lot of people with criminal intent are running around that community, armed. Stops based upon Reasonable Suspicion will find those weapons before they are fired. However, if you intimidate the Police, threaten to sue them, fire them or jail them; then WHY WOULD ANY OFFICER IN A SOUND STATE OF MIND TAKE THE RISK? So, some Highland Park, Winnetka, Wilmette Liberal, (Rahm is from Wilmette) who does not even live in Chicago, and certainly not in Englewood is going to dictate how we Working Class peons should treat the next lower level on the food chain. Put some Section 8 Housing in Winnetka or Wilmette, then talk to us about Invasive Stops. Or wait until some University of Chicago students start getting killed; then they'll be DEMANDING Invasive Street Stops, but there will be none. This current trend may alter an entire generation of policing, and it is not for the good of Reducing or Preventing violent crime. Remember, the alternative to Proactive is Reactive, and at that point it is after the crime has been committed. What we are witnessing now is Neurotic Liberals, guilt ridden over their wealth attempting to pay back Society by "Helping". You may soothe your conscience, and please your therapist, but people of Color are paying for your naivete. Baby"G" (Yeah, the retired Sgt. from Mass Transit)

Is this old news that I just missed or are they keeping everyone in the dark to avoid more controversey? I spoke to an instructor from the academy and an FTO and neither were sure of any of the details on why there are trained and state certified recruits sitting at home while all the districts are short handed. All they could do is offer up what they suspected was a shortage of FTO'S and the Dept of Justice looking into insufficient training issues. I think the media would have a field day with this.

I would imagine if you go into the rest of the city the racial makeup of the stops would mirror the population of the neighborhood, Don't you just love the ACLU's moonbat libtard concept of affirmative action law enforcement.

Just curious why there is no talk of the massive computer hack of department computers that's going on 4 days now. Direct from the brains at 35th Street, nearly a quarter of computers are infected with a virus that routes all information to a remote server in Amsterdam, and from there no one knows. The Department can't get a handle on it, and won't tell anyone if their personal info stored in the finance division has been compromised. If this were the private sector, the best and brightest would be hired to fix it in a day. The 3RD largest police department with a treasure trove of personal information on anyone from cops to felons can't get it fixed after several days. Good to know both how secure our servers are and how much the department cares.

The City is either going to have to modify or get out of this agreement. Too many bodies stacking. Thing Rahm is on the hotseat now? Wait until city has its 300th homicide.

And the police are not doing street stops because they are too busy doing paper. They are too busy picking up bodies.

How can a group of lawyers lack the common sense to acknowledge a correlation between street stops and it's reduction in crime? Wait, it's the same group that believes Police will make a conscentious decision to willingly complete paperwork that takes longer to complete than an arrest report. And don't forget to add the fact that this new system is put in place to put us in jail, sued, or disciplined. I guess ACLU believes Police are incompetent and willing to risk the livelihood of our families and ourselves for the mere sake of making ACLU happy. Yet these lawyers would never dare walk in the south and westside of Chicago by themselves or with their children because they would fear for their lives. Stay fetal, safe, and competent my friends.

Every time they bury another murder victim, they should send flowers with the word OPPS, we thought we were doing the right thing.
Homicides will probably be up by 40-50% this year.
And of course, the democrats are doing everything possible to stop the working middle class from either being protected of protecting themselves.
This is getting to be like Germany in the early 30's.

Just great. The ACLU is now calling the shots on Chicago policing. Their methods have "worked" in other cities, and all cities are exactly the same, right? The 72% thing is the big elephant in the room, the thing that can't be talked about in a politically correct society, basically that stereotypes exist for a reason. I still don't appreciate the fetal thing, it smacks of "you won't let me police the way I want, so I'm taking my badge and gun and pouting in the corner", but I get how this is a reaction that some cops will have, and is why the ACLU should be kept out of the situation. The thugs will still fight amongst themselves, but the crime will undoubtedly hit a larger percentage of decent Chicagoans than before fetal. Thank you ACLU for nothing, and thank you Chicago police for putting your pride before the job. hey ACLU, I understand that sitting behind your desks all day long you dont see it as "your fault." But as a guy who is on a tac team I can tell you that yes, in fact it is your fault. Fact: I have not completed one ISR yet this year. Fact: I have not stopped anybody so far this year. Fact: I am not the only one, thousands of coppers citywide are not stopping a single person. Yes, I have made arrests. All arrests I have made so far this year are from signed complaints and arrests which were made because somebody called 911.. Not because I proactivly went out and stopped people. I have arrested some people by going to their houses and arresting them for warrants, which we look up in the morning... Makes for a no drama easy arrest which keeps the powers at be off our back.. But when it comes to the stops that matter. The arrests that matter. NOPE! No way are we stopping that group of thugs anymore. We arent stopping the dope dealers. We arent stopping those three guys cutting through the alleys and gangways which usally is their way of moving guns. We are not stopping those groups sitting on the porches of abandoned houses which is the local gang and drug hang out. We are not doing that. Its not because we are lazy, its not because we dont care and its not because magically since january 1st gang bangers decided to really turn up the heat on shooting people. its because the media, white liberals, BLM, the mayor and politicians, presidential canidates and the ACLU have slammed the CPD, killed morale, kicked us around like we are not human beings and slandered us all over the TV and newspaper as a bunch of thugs. Hey, guess what my wife, family and friends watch and read that crap. You think that it just bothers me?? No, it brings my wife and daughters to tears your news reports and bogus interviews the way your protray their father and husband who has absolutly nothing to do with any of this "epidemic" you report about daily. So screw all of you. You want your news stories, you want to say that you really made change at the ACLU then you have. Im not lifting a finger for this liberal city. Im gonna do enough to make sure I SURVIVE and I can keep my spot on a tac team. So I will make sure I make the arrests that DONT matter but just make it look like I still do something. The thugs know we arent stopping people anymore and its open season gang wars all over the city. I just chill, sit back and watch. I show up at the shootings and watch the fine citizens still blame the police for brown on brown crime. its laughable now. You want it you got it. Media and ACLU its your fault this is happening. You have enabled the thugs. Congrats, you have blood on your hands but hey at least you guys have news stories or ACLU awards to eachother for doing great work. Another thing... we are not refusing to fill out the ISR reports because they are "too long". We arent filling them out because we dont want to stop people! Huge difference. Ill fill one out, but ive got to stop people first... and thats not happeing. good luck to all citizens. I recommend you arm yourselves.

Rahm Weasel invites the aclu, blm, doj and the rev'runs
to come in and re-write the law governing Police Use of Force
and CPD rules & regulations regarding Use of Force, for what
reason again?

Oh...

To distract the usual low information voters from realizing
how badly they were chumped and pimped by Rahm's
putting a brick on the McDonald shooting video in an effort
to keep the low information voters from staging an uprising
and possibly violently departing the Chicago Democratic
slave plantation while he was locked in the political fight of his life.

For all to be enslaved, you just need a willfully ignorant, easily controlled few
who contribute nothing but will also do everything to hang onto their government
sponsored entitlements, perpetual sense of victimhood, constant demands that
society bends to and accepts their vision of normal and acceptable while refusing
a seat at the table of mutuality and shared purpose with the rest of everybody else,
because it would mean serious self-examination and an end to excuses and artfully
dodged responsibility.

Too many people and folks afraid of losing their cushy seat when the music stops playing.

Do not pullover anyone unless it's aggravating, don't enforce city ordinance, simply back each other up, answer your service calls, and please go home without a lawsuit or possible criminal indictment. The dept along with civilian outsiders (IPRA) and County officials with the blessings of ACLU clearly state their intentions that they will hammer you, investigate you, look for your compensation by means of garnishments or Levys. They will also refer you the criminal courts until proven innocent. For those tac and sat teams, you guys are blind with 2 years on the job drinking the cool aid from caps and lts.

Excuse me but this is NOT a pride thing. This is an "I don't want to go to jail or get sued for everything I own for simply doing my job" thing. Since you're not a cop I'll assume you don't really understand what's going on. I'm not mad at you. But how would you like to go to work with someone who doesn't understand what you do micromanaging and dictating the rules, and threatening to sue you or inprison you at your every move ? Sounds unbelievable right? Buts that's what we're at these days because we don't have any advocacy and people don't understand what we do. The public just wants results without a real understanding of how it's done. Never in the history of crime and punishment (to my knowledge) has a 3rd party dictated the legality of a stop or arrest. That has always done by a judge in court after reveiwing statments and evidence. Somehow the mayors office has said "hey it's okay for this organization that has a long history of suing cops to scrutinize all of our stops and pounce at anything that they deem imperfect or infringing on someone's rights. And that will be our official departmental policy. Judges know the reality since they deal with criminals. States attorneys and trial lawyers do as well. ACLU deals with "victims" never offenders. That sound like a good idea to you? You, Joe or Jane citizen that pays taxes and foots the bill for all this madness. We the police can't strike or march downtown like you can. But You can do something about it. Now imagine having to navigate through all this "liability" and cries from the public to use less force and less stops while still giving police service and catching bad guys in a city that yields 500 homocides a year not including life threatening injuries.

Maybe it's time to start looking at our 'leaders' and their politics huh? Btw they just increased your property taxes..

End of rant

Off topic. SCC can you or anyone else explain why a class of recruits that graduated in November 2015 hasn't started working anywhere yet and are receiving full pay while staying home and were told it may be quite a while before they do get their assignments.

Know that Rahm Emanuel and Gary McCarthy are both studies
in the cynical politics and craven pandering to the non-contributory,
Catered-To-Constituent class of the Democratic voting electorate
here in Chicago.

They GAVE CPD to the ACLU in a cowardly attempt to curry favor
and save their stinking political hides.

You can take your lack of appreciation for "the fetal thing" and stick it
where the sun doesn't shine, you smug and smarmy ass...

The ACLU.
The DOJ.
IPRA.
CCSAO.
The "Community."

You're insane if you think any Copper is "Policing like I want to."

These men and women are Policing to stay off YouTube, stay employed,
make it to their plush only in your feverish mind, pensions while NOT
getting dragged into the ACLU/DOJ civil rights jackpot and sent to
FEDERAL PRISON for "violating" the rights of the people and folks you
and yours think are victims of Police excesses.

You're pissed because The Police are operating with an abundance
of caution and self preservation?

The days of The Police doing society a solid in a gray-area
circumstance are DONE.

Policing strictly by the numbers keeps one employed
and able to come home to ones family safe and sound.

That's not selfish.
It's common damn sense and survival.

Thoughtful and constructive of you to strain, grunt
and push out a faux outrage "we pay your pensions" slam...

And that "putting pride before the job" slam?
Cordially STFU. You are again a smug ass.

We're Policing in a new era...
Hopefully you'll find yourself in a
situation where you are responsible
for your own safety and protection.

Perhaps it is a good thing that
every living ass is now equally in danger.

Apologies, SCC but THIS shit has gone unchecked for too long.

Remember, the affected citizens are the ones who are going to be tapped to fund your pension a SECOND time...

What's the matter you scared pussy? You want the police now? You think it's because of our pride? It's because the livelihood made from this job supports families. Why jeopardizes livelihood and freedom for stopping known gangbangers standing on a corner? You aren't more important than an officer's family or freedom. 1 copy of the isr goes to sgt, 1 copy to integrity unit (nobody knows what the fuck that is,and 1 to aclu. So you tell me. What is there to gain? I'd bet you're the kind of asshole who's anti police, but now you want them. Well, fuck you. Take it up with your alderman and mayor. We have nothing to do with it. Get out of your "everything is the polices fault. And, fuck you in regards to the pension payment. 9% of every officers fucking check goes into police pensions. Unlike 2% of cps. But, we are the problem because the city doesn't contribute their share. Too bad for you city pensions were just upheld by courts. By the way, 99% of cops have other investments and aren't relying on pensions entirely. So duck off you bitter, Ill wishing prick. Say hello to your new crime ridden neighborhood.

This is about being targeted, both literally and figuratively.
This is about clueless, misinformed people putting us in the crosshairs, threatening our livelihood, our freedom and our lives.
This about crippling us and our ability to be proactive, because you will crucify us if we are.

Avg citizen here
I read this article, and then realized that the officers serving in some rough areas have to be incredibly brace to have situations like this occur. Then, I thought about what is about to happen to the officers who returned fire, to protect themselves. Their lives are now about to get flipped upside down and they will be treated like filth, all while trying to protect the people in that house. ACLU and attorneys will be all up in their lives for a while.

Its simply stunning what you guys go through. None of that will be discussed. The only thing most of the ignorant public will take away from this is "why didnt you use a taser, and why did you have to kill the guy?"

A Contact Card that took 2-3 minutes to do, now takes about 25-30 minutes to do. Stop 4 bangers in a car up to no good and a police car will be down 2 hrs doing the new ISR reports for a simple street stop. Utterly ridiculous; they could just had officers be more descriptive and articulate more on the old contact cards which would have added what, an add'l 1 minute to the report. The ACLU has ruined proactive policing and the body count continues to go through the roof.

The economy stupid. Rahm has made a climate where the good people are moving out and the criminals are getting released in record numbers from prison. Granted know one likes the new system when stopping people. I don't think the shootings are part of that yet. Sure as things go on they will affect the shootings. Last year's numbers were up also. Rahm is the blame. He is in charge and know one seems to know why the shootings are up. It's this it's that, no its the politicians.

Once again SCC..I refer back to Colin Flahtery (white girl bleed alot and don't make the black kids angry) None of the Jesse Jacksons...Al Sharptons...Farakans..or even the Jeremiah wrights..Obama administration will address the fatherless black family epidemic. 1. That 72% big elephant is very close to the percentage of violent crimes committed by a certain race.
2. That 72% big elephant is very close to the percentage of the police department's resource and man power that goes into certain neighborhoods that contain a certain race of people.
3. No one is pouting. Police department is giving the people what they asked for. ACLU is proud of making the police do less stops. THey take full credit for that but refuse to take credit for the extreme increase in crime.
4. Police have always paid 9% of their pay checks into the pension. The city hasn't paid their part for decades. Politicians even have borrowed from the pension and decided to not pay back.
5. The ACLU effect is in full speed. Prepare for the summer because this is what the people wanted.... less stops.

Many are maxed but do not have the age for the 55 and out medical! others have nothing but this job,no hobbies, no idea how to function! I work with a guy at the airport has age,is maxed out but stays he wants the "overtime" Think about this how this works say your pension is $60,000 a year you are telling the pension board and city you can have that money for a few more years,as you work after you make over $60,000 then that is profit. So you work all year everyday and make say $40,000 total of $100,000 now you worked all your regualr hours + overtime and got paid $40,000 because you left the $60,000 on the table!

Dear ACLU,
Black citizens of our city are disproportionately affected by crime in this city because their own people, that they live with in their communities, commit 75% of the crime. Let's examine this phenomenon. Blacks account for 40% of the population of this city and of that 40% approximately 9% are responsible for the black on black crime. So with you're recent ISR authoring which must be completed for every stop you are effectively saying that the rights of those 9% who commit all the crime are more important than the officers who are tasked with controlling crime and more importantly that the 9% should enjoy more protection than those 31% of blacks who are law abiding. You, along with BLM, the media, our government officials, and all the phony racebaiters have the blood of the 31% of the law abiding citizens of the black community, who are the true victims here, on you hands, your face, you know what you're completely drenched with their blood. Is the victims whose blood has been spilled the price that must be paid for criminal justice? You have literally transformed the Criminal Justice System where only the criminals get justice at the expense of the police and law abiding citizens. What about their freedoms to exist in a civilized society? Our Criminal Justice System should be renamed the Criminal Relief Fund. Their slogan would be where society suffers because of a few who cannot and will not conform to a civilized society. Keep empowering the wolf and he will pay you a visit someday because he has no fear of the police and lives for the day he can take advantage of The Criminal Relief Fund you created. Now their could be a secondary purpose here and it very well could be that your policies are designed to create more legal work for lawyers and by the creation of this legal work the blood letting that you are enabling is just collateral damage. I think they call that filling up your pockets with cash at the expense of society or being an aclu lawyer.

KAREN: If you refuse to admitt the ACLU ruling does not have SOME contributory affect to the practice of de-policing I will simply call you what I believe you are; a liar.
Thinking people cannot believe you or have any respect for someone who is quoted what you said as mentioned in the original post. The decreasing numbers speak for themselves and as the assault rate including beatings, shootings, deaths increases, I consider the Public Policing Division of the ACLU in part responsible for such activity. You know, I have been in this area for six decades and this city and state is simply circling around the toilet like never before. Even during the sixties, we could always count on the police. They were literally under the gun then and they always did their job and I don't remember any of this de-policing. But I also remember the politicans supported the police as did most people. I do not think that is so much the case anymore. And it was the ALCU who arranged a nice little court case that ended the practice of locking up little thugs standing around the street corner supposedly doing nothing on a free assembly case. We still remember the surge in gang activity when that was decided in when the mid 80's? It was just after crack came to town.

Do all of you who are proposing that the ACLU come down to the ghetto to see what their policies have fostered really believe that that was not their original intent. The exact same thing that Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders want. A dumbed-down, unarmed, proletariat that will become completely dependant upon the government teat! God Bless Donald Trump. Finally someone who doesn't fear offending the BS political left. Hope he resides at 1600 Pensylvania for the next eight years.

Remember, the affected citizens are the ones who are going to be tapped to fund your pension a SECOND time...

Stfu civilian? This isn't a pride thing! I don't enjoy being fetal it really eats me inside but you'renot going to be there for me when I am being sued or worst prosecuted!

>>>The truth is that they are not willing to hire the type of Superintendant that it would take to solve this issue. They are going to chose a politically correct yes man who will be bounced out of here in record time due to skyrocketting violent crime rates who even if they do a good job will be a political casualty whenRahm is not reelected and the new mayor tosses the Supe out on their ass to make room for their guy.

The Superintendent is a moot point. The Mayor is a moot point. This is about other-worldly oversight. ACLU is your boss. That is the spirit of the organization going forward.

When was the last time anyone rolled back restrictions on police? This is a one way street.

Horse is outta the barn.

Genie outta the bottle.

Cat's outta the bag.

Whatever.

Done. Fork in it.

This is the new normal.
