Yes, Virginia. Area 4 is Re-Opening

A rumor:
  • Hey SCC. Any truth to the rumors that 35th street wants to move all Area North Detectives to Harrison and Kedzie, the old Area Four because get this, "this is where the crime is located." These people are unfrickenbelievable. No one thought closing two areas was a good Idea now they want to open Area Four back up but guess what not enough detectives to go around so let's move them from Belmont and Western to Harrison and Kedzie. Pure genius. There are under 300 detectives in Area North currently. Totally understaffed. Hold on boys and girls summer is going to be a wild ride.
And a few hours later:
  • Hey Scc. I m sure you heard. Area North Detectives are moving to The old Area Four starting Monday first watch. The entire area will be moved by Jun 1. All to appease the reverends. They think that if we get to scenes quicker that the west side will mysteriously want to cooperate with us. Embarrassing. Almost as bad as closing two areas 5 years ago.
So again, another McCarthny brainstorm blows up in his wake. Does Rahm's distant relative own a moving company or something?

Going to be field office of area north. Harrison & Kedzie personnel will still belong to Area North, but that location will cover the 10th and 11th Districts only.

More dets, more cops, but no will to hire. Because of Chicago pols the department will suffer. But hey, build another park on the lake front, build another hotel, build another sports arena, build another convention center, but spend monies on those who protect the city, naaaa.

Last I checked, Area North had under 240 people assigned there including all bosses and people detailed out. Looks like the real taxpayers and good citizens will be the ones waiting for detective service. The catered to constituency wins again! When will the good people of this city have enough and stand up to voice their mind? We are furthering the number of police in neighborhoods that desire none? Ass fucking backwards as usual.

So if all the Area North det.'s move, what, exactly , will they do with Belmont and Western? Just the lockup open? So stupid.

Back room deal! Even Eddie must haggle expect more black officer promoted by merit also. Keep track boys and girl if you don't put in lawsuit to be promoted your odds will drop.

Subject matter experts are a plenty yet you have not seen 1 post listing them all anywhere?
You can connect dots on the famous one like The old states attorneys whiney son or Big Phils 4 month a homicide dick kid.
Now its so bad girlfriend can make it!!! They aint even wives cmon... And Financial Crimes just had bids open and you should see the batch of underachiever in those bids!

Send them back to the AREAs

The morons will never admit that closing Area 4 &5 was a mistake. Remember the cost savings we benefited from when they were closed. The units that moved into the old unused spaces because the buildings were never closed. The money that was spent to renovate Areas 1 & 3 so we could move in only to be told there's no room for you guys, go work in the districts. Just another shell game being played by the mayor so that he can go on TV and say he put a couple hundred detectives on the west side to quell the violence.

I'Ve worked in the old Area 1 which covered part of the west side, moved to Area 5 which covered the west side, moved back to Area Central which covered part of the west side, back to Area North which covered the west side, now to Area "West" which I guess covers the "North Side"

Ald.Creatures from the North Side: Pay Attention. You supported in lock-step the raising of taxes, and some of you (Tunney) were promised that you would get more cops for your Wards. Well think about this, especially Moore, You Moran; If someone is shot in Rogers Park, (You even witnessed one of those, remember?) say on Juneway Terrace, and competent beat cops locate witnesses. Do you really think, after it is you explained to the witnesses that they do not have to cooperate, that they are going to go from 024th Dist.station, spend a few hours there, then let you drive them to Harrison and Kedzie, at least 30 minutes away, on Midnights, to spend a few more hours waiting for the Asst. State's Attorney to decide if she/he should approve charges. After he/she illegally runs the Social Security Number of the victim, to determine if we have a "Good Victim"! OH YES, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT REALIZE HOW THE "SYSTEM" WORKS, THE STATE'S ATTORNEY RUNS A FULL BACKGROUND ON THE VICTIM, before deciding what to charge them with. Of course this does not apply to victims of police shooting or violence, those "victims" are presumed completely without sin. Is this "Move" an attempt to reduce crime by discouraging witnesses from the North Side from cooperating, thus reducing crime? Baby"G"

Minooka police discontinue body camera use

http://www.morrisherald-news.com/2016/04/08/minooka-police-discontinue-body-camera-use/ahb4r5n/

CHIEF: Workload for staff increased too much

Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer said Friday the issue was not with the functionality of the cameras, but that it became a burden for staff to fill the many requests for video footage.

Meyer described a hypothetical example of the extra work it created for department staff.

“You could have four officers on a call for a domestic incident,” Meyer said. “If they are on scene for an hour – whether there’s an arrest or not – that’s four hours of video that has to be uploaded.”

The new Village idiot, Eddie Johnson.
This will be his legacy, not the last but the first in a series of democrat blunders.
When asked, will you support the new SuperIdiot?
Will your moral see an improvement ?
He's going to pander to the folks on Rahms behalf even more and it's not in our favor.
Take that to the blm bank.

Reopening all 5 areas should have been a better plan.
Rahm likes the optics and is praising the "adding" more Detectives to underserved areas.
(Suspending a bullshit ghetto crime from the moon just as easy as from Area1,2 or 3.)
As for Bidding, not an option. They can name the moon Area 3 and that means you weren't re-assigned.
If they call it Area 4, then theres a beef...but slick ass kissers figured that out already.

Come early and reserve a desk with a dirty broken chair.
Lockers, none. Get used to living out of your trunk, no SUV's-they break into them.
Travel time, add 20-30 mins. Door dents and bullets whizzing by are to be expected.

You'll never see another white witness or victim again...they won't drive to Harrison/Kedzie.
More driving back North and then back West means more case backups.
And that keeps joe out of jail. Rev's and PrickWrinkles likes that.

As for the Blue shirts, take the test. Forget about chasing those thugs, guns, and ISRs. No rewards.
As for the Gold stars: News Flash - you're not going anywhere, except maybe down.
The CPD is going the way of the CTA.
Now give me an Event number.

This is just more smoke and mirrors to mask the fact that they let the department's manpower dip to such dangerously low levels that the department can no longer function properly. The detective division has been absolutely decimated under Tiny Dancer and McNumbnuts. This is what happens when you don't give a detective exam in almost 12 years and let your D-Unit shrink to numbers unheard of in any big city department. The overtime is ridiculously out of control and every detective out there is completely burned out whether they want to admit it or not. To make matters worse, you now have a D-Unit that is so old that half of what's left could retire tomorrow if they choose to and the rest won't be far behind. Another poster mentioned 500 detectives being promoted off the new exam in the next two years. The department better double that. What a bunch of morons we have running this circus.

Holman Square will be closed (black site) and all of those units will be put in at 3510.
The fire dept will be separated from the police again and relocated elsewhere. A site yet to be decided.
The current police Academy and Whitney Young Academy will be raised and a new police high rise will be built with a multilevel parking garage where Whitney Young school is now with a bridge connecting it to the new headquarters.
The police training academy will be relocated to one of the vacant school buildings around the city a location also yet to be determined.

Ok, it's about time the cat gets out of the bag. From a very reliable source comes this blockbuster. No one is happy with the building at 3510 S Michigan. The whole detective division and Holman square will be relocated to work out of that building. All of the detective areas South, Central and Nirth will be out of that building.
Rahm gets to hire all kind of new construction expletive and has lots of building to rename after his benefactors and fellow pols like OBama and Little Richie

Area Four re-opening will mean cash money! Tell your kid to apply to an Ivy League Scool and tell momma to order her shoes from Jimmy Choos. It was the only place I ever worked where the bosses didn't want you to go home on time. Beamers all around!

Except you left out the part where at least one supervisor went to jail. A few more were forced to retire. And even more were dumped before J-Fled could charge them with theft. The shame of it is not a one of them ever learned anything from JF.

HOMAN square. The building is on HOMAN Avenue.

And it should be interesting to see them raise Whitney Young. How high will they lift it? Will they put something under it and ease it down gently?

What good did it do closing these buildings if they were still sitting vacant? Really does no good unless you sell the buildings. What do they save by doing this? Electric every month?

Are you really that stupid the building never closed they just dont have roll call there everything else for 019 goes on there

you will miss the days of McCarthy and even Jody before this is all over. I don't think the current command staff has an independent thought in their collective heads. McCarthy was an innovator and was know for it. But, some the things that he did were just not PC, such as heavy field contact cards and the progressive establishment did not like it.

Innovator?

You are a fool.

June 1st seems to be D-day for the Medical Section too. ALL sworn out & low qualified civilians in. Get ready for an already screwed up Medical Section to be even worse!

McCarthy was in innovator???? What original thought came out of his head? He was like a broken record, we need more contact cards. We need to stop the right people. Get the guns off the streets. The man was an egomaniac and a bully

I think I'll just put in my PAR form to retire. Then I don't have to worry about moving anywhere except to Florida.
