Here's a thought on that. On Friday I spent the day helping a friend with a project. I drove almost 50 miles through the north half of the city as far north as Peterson and Western, as far south as Michigan and Wacker, as far west as North Avenue and Harlem. I saw lots of red light and speed cameras and Traffic Aides screwing things up around Humbolt Park for Puerto Rican Fest. But in all that time and miles I only saw one CPD car and a couple of cops on Michigan Avenue.

That mini riot at 35th street was embarrassing. Not only did the attendees embarrass themselves but the department members were embarrassed by the bosses; our lack there of.
One the meeting went south due to the screaming, aggressive stances, loud and obvious threats of violence and personal attacks; the person's in charge should have thanked everyone for attending and then shut it down.
The aggressors acted this way in the headquarters of this department. I don't give a dam about cell phones. They were calling the officers names and threatening physical violence. The professionalism of officers was way above and beyond what should have been tolerated.
To allow these acts to continue for such a long period of time and especially to the extent that it did only gave these uncontrolled people of the community an undeserving sense of bullying and free reign to own the facility.
These people who attended don't care to know that every officer there is also part of the community. They just want to flex and act in such a manner as to threaten to KILL the officers present.
At this time; those who were told to leave and then became more aggressive and threatened to KILL the officers and then ordered to leave and didn't, should have been arrested and charged accordingly.
Personnel in charge of the event just weren't and that was embarrassing and potentially very dangerous for all concerned.
These fools owned the facility and owned those in charge. You......department members in charge or command of th event failed and failed miserably. Future such event aggressive attendees now have a game plan to continue and up their violence because you gave them the ability to own you.

If you were looking for CPD cars and personnel you needed to travel into "the community"
Rahm and CPD have been allocating the overwhelming majority of CPD resources into "the community" and way under allocating those same resources in the "quieter" tax paying areas for a long time now.
The Sheeple need to wake up and start making some real noise about this.
BTW it's becoming more and more apparent hom much "the community" "appreciates" those extra resources that Rahm and Eddie keep giving them.

From day one, this garbage paper has tried everything to smear Trump.

Of the 1700 or so that have been shot, a whopping 10 have been white people. Repeat that 10 out of 1700 people shot are caucasians.

Instead, he went on Chicago Tonight and basically said they only caught it because he's this well-known reporter, so it was easy for them to google him and get all the details of his oh-so-famous life.
Just sickened by the City Of Chicago, my son cried last night wondering if he's going to be killed like the other children. Cries wondering if Dad is going to be killed when he goes to work. Time for the kids to stop watching the news in Chicago...not like it a scary movie...its real life.

Peterson east Bound from Harlem has 6 redlight and Speed Cameras to LSD! Traffic in the mornings is like a waltz for demented children! Lane changes right, left, speed way up, slow way down. It is maddening!

Don't you mean Devon east from Harlem to Caldwell east to Peterson at Cicero. Peterson at Harlem runs east into the "Circle" and there are no cameras at Peterson and Harlem leading into the "Circle".

We clearly cannot "peacefully" handle the criminals in Chicago and the "community" has "lost trust" in the CPD. OK, I can dig it. FBI, it's all yours. Show us how it's done! Flood the city with Feds. I'm sure they will be safe and quell the violence.

Go after the criminal street gangs that have taken unchallenged control over the streets and government of the former great city of Chicago and have reached into the county and state government. Why is rahm afraid to go after them? Is it politicaly correct to ignore them or are they telling him what to do? Did he work a deal with them to force people out of the city to help developers get land faster? There has to be a reason why all the deaths are acceptable? Is rahm a racist?

not that we are led by brainiacs, but what the fuck can any police officer, of any rank do to stop the shooting? They have tried new (boxes, missions VRI), old (lets start a summer mobile), bike patrols, talk to the homies, watch potential victims who will soon be offenders, saturations, seat belt missions, sports leagues, CAPS, outdoor rollcalls, night out, beat meetings, sieze a gun an hour! It's NOT A POLICE PROBLEM. It can't be missioned or wished or worked away. There is a mindset in certain communities that does not respect life or any boundaries. Uncle hands a 17yoa a gun, momma says shoot the bitch, girls shoots at rival for boy and kills someone else. Other lady says "he dint do nuffin wrong, he just shot a cop". People say "hire more cops". in the 70's and 80's we had the 13,000 coppers, there were 900 murders. And that was in the ass kicking days when we had bosses that people liked. It's fucking hopeless. Lets say suddenly we had 13,000 again and all cameras went away. No cell phones or store cameras. No car cams, no body cams. Ok, OPEN season, right? So now all of a sudden all 13,000 coppers are gonna go into englewood or pullman or the west side or Humboltd Park and kick ass? Nonsense. Our new ASA or the feds would put everyone away. It's a holding action only now. Keep the killing away from our homes as much as possible. We cannot arrest our way out of this mess. Ever.
