Again, the Media is Shocked?
- Four people were killed in an unbroken streak of fatal shootings from Friday night to Saturday morning, a deadly stretch of seven hours in the middle of a violent night.
So....what's an "unbroken streak of fatal shootings"? Is the writer attempting to say that four shootings in a row were fatalities? Is this a "Big Deal" of some sort? We're confused.
According to HeyJackass.com, someone gets shot in the city on average every two hours, twenty minutes. Someone gets killed on average every thirteen-and-a-half hours. That means in a fifty-five hour weekend (1700 Friday to 0000 Sunday night/Monday morning), just using the averages, you're going to get twenty-four shot with four dying. Every so often, you're going to get a string of fatalities as the hitters get a hot hand. Not really worthy of an "unbroken streak."
Here's a guy who a flair for the dramatic though:

Does anyone have stats on how many coppers are leaving Tac Teams. Spoke to a Tac guy with over ten years on Tac, highly decorated, everything from multiple Life Saving awards to Department Commendations. His reason: He refuses to go to another Demonstration without competent leadership! Plain and Simple, it is now beyond Morale, coppers just do not want to face situations were their bosses are cowards, hacks or just plain Merit incompetents. When a Tac Lt. tells you to pick-up activity, but declines to tell you what he means by "Activity", because to do so will put him in Federal Court, or in the sights of the ACLU; well at that point what do you expect? And the blood of People of Color will be on the hands of Politicians and spineless police bosses. But do you Really think Rahm gives a fuck? This weekend he is in Argentina, and I hope he gets bit by an infected Zika mosquito! Baby"G", STAY FETAL!
Look at it this way, it is not how many get shot and/or killed, what is important is who is being shot and/or killed. So far, the majority of those shot and/or killed are low life's and thugs. This is not always a bad thing. When the majority of the wounded and dead are productive citizens, we got real problems.
What the CPD needs is a Judge Dredd.
If it was the purge, you all could take the night off.

Listening across the zones, Saturday night for Sunday (as an old 1st watch guy would say); lots of people shot. Once again the Island people are well represented for shootings during their festivities. I would suggest all Hospital E.R.'s have valet attendants to accept the stream of victims and park the crime scenes in the lot, out of the way of the next delivery. Well done Chicago....

In regards to protests:
McNaughton, K Ryan and Nagode all went to the Keating school of over management but forgot to take notes and look to Georgas for guidance as to when to blow their own noses...I might trust DM to watch my dog, KR could probably handle a cat, but wouldn't let AN look after my dead goldfish---and none would be allowed to watch my kids, house or tac team.

A 21-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Sunday night in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.
He was shot in the lower back about 10:40 p.m. in the first block of East 35th Street, according to Chicago Police.
