Someone sent us this after it was posted on pfather Pfleger's Facebook page regarding the Friends of the Parks objecting to the Lucas "museum" that Rahm wants to pollute the lakefront:
- I just don't understand how a SELF APPOINTED group called Friends of the Park have the power to decide what is right for Chicago...I thought that is why we elected Alderman and a Mayor....can any group in any part of the City simply say we take control of this area....Who does This?.....It's time for someone to remind the Friends of the Parks...they were not elected or appointed......a self Appointed group of Downtown zealots should not have this kind of power....
Well that's rich, coming from a self appointed agitator and race-baiting "priest" who attempts to demonize gun owners and assorted businesses whose politics he objects to.
What about those other groups that "take control of [an] area" with the sole purpose of selling drugs?
How about that "group" that took over the recent Police Board meeting with the sole purpose of imposing the will of a vocal, misguided minority who support, not the rule of law, but the law of mob rule. None of them were elected or appointed last time we checked - they just happened to be the loudest and most ignorant of a group of ignoramuses.

Friends of the Parks existed long before Emanuel invited Lucas to bring his circus to town. It will be here long after Lucas takes his Temple of Doom elsewhere.
They aren't a self-appointed group. They are, however, an organization that represents little people who wouldn't otherwise have a say in the matters the power-elites feel only they can control.
As for the Fake Father, he spends most of his time meddling in concerns that are none of his business, while using a false 'southern' drawl and while demeaning that collar he strategically wears for effect. I have a real priest in my immediate family and he is mortified by that lunatic.

His connection to the development plan is pretty clear. Lucas made an extremely generous donation to his church a couple years ago. Six figures iirc.
Friends of the Parks actually kept a monstrosity off the lakefront which is exactly what most Chicagoans want by an overwhelming majority. Thank you.

Friends of the Park is a respectable organization of community activists dedicated to maintaining the ideal of preserving the lakefront. Kind of like what Father Phleger does, except without the graft, crime, paybacks, gangbangers and criminals.

Fr. Faker is one of the reasons I will not set foot in a Catholic Church. The Church has absolutely No Credibility, as long as they allow a renegade Black Militant, trapped in a White Body dictate to Cardinals what is right and wrong. Fr. Faker is now on about his 4th Cardinal, and he remains at his pulpit because the Church like the Politicians is afraid of a Black Backlash. Like everything else in America, we allow two separate value systems. If a White priest had demonstrated the lack of discipline and obedience shown by Faker; that priest would have been stripped of his authority. When Faker did his little Hillary feels she is "entitled" dance, in favor of Obama back in 2007; at that point his specific Church should have been stripped of its Tax Exempt status. Went to Catholic school my whole life. Wanted the same for my three kids. Not happening until this guy is gone. To say I'm sick with the Chicago Archdiocese is an understatement. And they aren't getting a penny from me either at collections.

Friends of the park, keep stopping this asshole Lucas from fucking up the lake front.
While I actually think the Museum is a good idea from a business stand point, but I admire Friends of the Park for standing up to Rahm. The last two Mayors believed the rules don't apply to them. The laws are very clear on the use of park district property and especially about building along the lake. Rahm just though he could do whatever he wanted as usual, and this time he was stopped. This actually goes back to the Obama library which will be built on park district property in Jackson or Washington Park. The Friends of the Park backed off on that one (there were proposals for using private or non-park district private land, but that is not what Rahm wanted. Rahm probably thought since he was able to get the library, the museum was just another thing he command be done and it would be done. You would think that the Fake Priest would be on the side of the Friends of the Park. But, i guess you can't be a friend of the politicians and a Friend of the Park.
No money for Archdiocese Capital Campaign......got it.
I say again you better not give to the Archdiocese Capital Campaign unless an apology comes from Phleger on this one.

Reminds me of Father Grabitall as described in Helene Stapinski's book, Five-Finger Discount about growing up in Jersey City. The good Father would take off every weekend for his place in Pennsylvania, bringing along Wanda The Housekeeper in her mink coat.
Parishioners were putting cheap, empty wallets and torn-off halves of dollar bills in the basket on Sunday...

FATHER FAKER is a bit confused as to the role of religion perhaps if his church lost it's tax exempt status he would not be such a politician.

that's the problem we have a mayor and aldermen. they decide what is good for us. we get no input. like living in medieval, we are the serfs and the lords of the realm rule for us.
The mission of Friends of the Park is to keep our lakefront clear from development for the enjoyment of future generations of Chicagoans. The shoreline of Lake Michigan is our crown jewel. It's for the citizens to enjoy, not for private developers to leverage. I was never a Star Wars fan and don't care about Lucas, his old lady, Rahm or Father Flakey. What I do care about is conservation and preservation of our lakefront.
Friends of the Parks should not cave in nor demand any restitution for any area of our lakefront. The shoreline doesn't belong to us, we've borrowed it from our children.

I would never forget..a member of the community had valuable information about the murder of the 13 year kid who was murdered on the basketball court while playing basketball on 43rd and State Street, he reached out to Pfleger who was supposed to help him claim the reward money. Instead, Pfleger gave the information to one of his followers, and Pfleger and the follower contacted the Area and claimed the reward money. The citizen never saw a dime...and they wonder why Pfleger who often make appeals for people to come forward with information receives so many death threats from the community. Pfleger are you still charging gangbangers for protection against the police? Who are you riding with now..the BD's or GDs? How many Detached Services officers do you need? I'm sure you have a direct line to E/J as well..

The law was also very clear that someone must be a resident of Chicago for at least one year immediately prior to running for elected office. TD is either smarter than the law, or the law (s) don't apply to him.
