Have Incompetence, Will Travel
Once again, the "meri-clout-orious" process damages another Department:
- The Chicago State University Police Metropolitan Alliance of Police have no faith in Chief of Police Patricia Walsh and want her removed immediately.Union representative Ray Violetto said in an email that the officers have “lost the trust that the Chief of Police can manage the department."
Neither Walsh nor a university spokesman could be immediately reached for comment.
Prior to coming to Chicago State, Walsh worked with the Chicago Police Department, where she was the deputy chief of the Bureau of Patrol for Area South, the highest ranking female in the department in 2013, the Tribune reported. She was also a detective, a sergeant, a lieutenant and a commander.
"Merit" all the way. And when put in charge of another Department without anyone to turn to (or blame), promptly drives it into a tree. Why anyone would hire a CPD member over the rank of lieutenant, we have no idea. And even the lieutenant rank is pretty shady nowadays.

Holy crap, worked under her and could not believe how bad she was. I mean, the absolute worst boss I've ever worked under, then.... they actually promoted her to deputy chief. I couldn't believe it. I was happy that I didn't have to deal with her anymore, but couldn't believe that the dept would actually promote her further. That's the exact moment I realized this dept was rotten all the way to the top.
Hahaha... She was THEE worst. I feel bad for anyone that has /had to work for this lady.
"Why anyone would hire a CPD cop..."
I have been wondering that myself for years, SCC. Most of these clown Gold Stars and some Lt's couldn't supervise a bowl movement.
Wow. You guys must not get out much, SCC. This story was released over two weeks ago.
Contrary to what you may think, Pat Walsh was a pretty fair commander of the old Area 1 Detective division.
Unfortunately, word is that she just didn't pass down a lot of information to her subordinates, which frustrated them to no end.
Never fear, it's very probable that another former CPD Gold Star will be hired to take her place, if they can manage to fire her.
I agree to a point. However, in just my opinion, CPD lost its best bosses that were left in Gorman and O'Grady n Schmitz. Say what you will that's negative about those guys but, at least, they worked hard and most guys liked them and respected them. Give me an example of a boss on this dept that anyone respects. If there are any besides a couple like Loughran n Panepinto I'd be surprised. Almost all of them are hacks, especially Slow Ed
She has a great resume?
I have zero confidence of anything out of Chicago state university.
Yeah sounds about right... Lt don't do anything productive, captains take a tac vehicle home as XO, inspectors are pieces of shit-worthless, street deputies, exempt are all worthless.. Just making free $$$
Some how when discussing the 'Peter Principle' Patti Walsh comes to mind.
She is nothing but an incompetent goof with a bad hair style.
Man , you see it all the time . Bosses calling around to find out how to handle something .
Guess they didn't study as hard as they let on.
When clout was your only credential, you might have some trouble where Clout doesn't mean squat.
Nine sergeants and nine officers?
Wow. You guys must not get out much, SCC. This story was released over two weeks ago.
Some things get shelved for time and space. You want to pay us to sit around and scan newspaper sites all day, start writing that check. We'll skip Michigan Avenue next month
cheaters are exposed. Sooner or later the truth comes out.
Being a member or the chief of the police at Chicago State University is the equivalent of working at Orland Mall. They only about 5000 students, a small amount of housing and no more then 30 members of their department. How in the hell can you screw that up?
"...this story came out two weeks ago..."
Some stories are just timeless, like this one.

But at least we can spell "bowel" movement
Regina Evans, former merit Lt., former Police Chief Country Club Hills, presently incarcerated at Federal Correctional Institution Marianna Florida as Inmate #18085-026, scheduled release date 08/14/2017.
Just look at Ron Forgue.
Another merit hack who continued to stay in trouble even after being at IAD.
Was in trouble as Sgt, lieutenant until he decided to retire.
Took job out west in California as a Police Chief, only to be dismissed within weeks there and came back to Illinois to get a job at some school in Southwest Cook County.
Just because the Department promoted them does not mean they knew how to do the job.
Then they think they knew how to run another Department.
Chicago State University officers HATE all Chicago Police Officers. They don't want CPD on their campus or in charge of their department Period.
She was my Commander for a while....completely useless....Then she got promoted!
Making bad decisions on a daily basis was just one of her talents. I would have loved to read her resume. What makes these people so out of touch, that they believe they posses any leadership skills, and have anything to offer in the area of people management?
I see her brand of cancer has spread to other levels of law enforcement. May God help them...
Loughran? Couldn't get any thing more handed to him!
Maybe someone can answer a question about Chicago state university. How many students are white and black ? And how many officers are black and white ?
The biggest problem is merit people who believe that they deserved the promotion, 95% of merit don't deserve it, a few do but most don't. Where's the DOJ on this?
McCarthy loved her
9 sergeants and 9 officers?

LOL. You've Gotta be Kidding !
Just one of the many dysfunctional Clowns in the CPD Circus
Chicago State U. lets see...
• Churning out entitled degrees because they can.
• 9 out of 10 Tuitions funded by Pell.
• Lower graduation rate than most public high schools, oh wait, "career academies" (no accreditation).
• Already laid off hundreds due to State funding cuts of a third of their $100 mil budget.
• Lavish Board salaries, amenities that include cars, trips and expense accounts.
And there's a problem with the Chief ?
Time to disband the CSU PD and sign a big fat contract with Argenbright's, Digby's or Monterrey.
Just another merit bump Gold star goof! Move along nothing to see here!

Best bosses? best at getting another 6 figure job and had major "connections" is that what you mean? If so agreed!
The Chicago State University police supervisors and officers are overpriced security guards who get double pay for working overtime. The police supervisors all make twice as much as the professors. This is all about money. They are in contract negotiations now.
Merit all the way and I'm sure the incompetent wench is collecting a six figure pension.
It's a surprise to no one that she failed miserably as the chief.
It's being said now that JOHN DOTY is all set to replace Pat Walsh shortly at the CSUPD. To the men and women of the agency, remember, you wanted CHANGE...well, you're going to get it! But not to worry, it's certain that Doty will be bringing Merit Milt Owens with him to straighten things out...yeah, really!

Hey!
It IS a big "bowl" that's bolted to the bathroom floor
in which the movement occurs, right?
Partial credit given.
Using the kitchen sink as a urinal OTH,
would be problematic. Especially if the dishes
aren't taken out first.

Damn!
Now that's CLOSE supervision!
Another affirmative action merit failure who never did a day's police work in her useless career.
Regina Evans, former merit Lt., former Police Chief Country Club Hills, presently incarcerated at Federal Correctional Institution Marianna Florida as Inmate #18085-026, scheduled release date 08/14/2017.

Evans could bury so many black bosses, retired or not it is not funny. She was likeable, and the bosses told her shit that could land them in club fed. Her fault was that she was a thief. She has a million stories in the nked city of Chicago. Let us not forget the Rev' and aldermen !!
.
More info here.

From looking at the BGA database CSU has about 40-45 cops with a whole lotta supervisors. Captain, Lts, Sergeants etc etc.
Probably half aren't in the union which explains the discrepancy with the DNA story.
Seems Walsh pulled them back from patrolling the adjoining neighborhoods and they aren't happy.
Chicago's NOBLE Chapter is not "noble!" j j jackson was the featured speaker this weekend at the nobility's youth benefit and shown on
Ch. 5 news. Babbling after the murder of the Baton Rouge cops, j j sr. is truly out of touch and is upset that #blm told him he's not their leader. Wonder how much $$$ was shaken down for this non-productive meeting of the mindless?? And how much of it will go to actual scholarships for truly disadvantaged kids vs. the nobility's nieces and nephews?
Pat Walsh is another noble duchess who can't even run a 19 person campus police force! Weezee is noble's queen. Princess Henny Penny craves a gold star while Barb West is "the princess of the pillow."
Retired .38spl +P
This Department has been ruined by back to back outsiders, years of misfit promotions and chasing out anyone who has knowledge. The entire top echelon is decimated. Roussell thinks he runs the Department but that may not be far from the truth. And that isnt a good thing. I hear they are going to abandon 010, 011 and 15 basically saying they are too far gone. Going to try and concentrate on other districts. Chief of Operations?? Double Dippin Rousell is a Genius!!(not so much). I feel bad for these guys just coming on. Had some good bosses once, the kind you didnt like always but trusted they had a clue.
Chicago PD is a recepie for Incompetence.
Clowns, Clowns, and more Clowns. But they're Clouted Clowns.

I like my boss. He seems to know what he's doing.
Merit , affirmative action, whatever phones title you put on it the result is the same, less qualified people are promoted and take the spot from the more qualified person. The end result is always the same, incompetence.
I sure hope that the DOJ have their hands into the Detective's promotional exam, once the city gets the scores back from the private company. My brother told me that the DOJ removed the refrigerator from the 001st District's CAPs office. They said that the officers were stealing electricity from the city. No refrigerators allowed without a CPD inventory number on it.
