$71.14???

  • An Aurora police officer is accused of fabricating a call to extend her shift and get overtime pay.

The officer, [...], 43, of Plano, has been charged with theft by deception after an internal police investigation. She is facing discipline that could include termination from the department, police officials said Thursday.

[She] "deceived the Aurora Police Department by fraudulently creating a service call late in her work shift for the purpose of obtaining funds not due to her in the value of $71.14," according to charging documents.
So what should a "theft of Lieutenant position" be charged with?

IMHO, that is something that could have been handled internally. First thing I thought of when reading that story is that the department was looking for a way to get rid of her, that she was a problem child for them. I heard from a reliable source that I was on the right track.

Well the criminal is treated.

Regarding emanual and the cast of thousands. Here people is your opportunity. Folks all think the judiciary is da Sapreem kort. Tiny Snowflake is poopin pants because the lower judiciary and the dept of justice is now steadily in the hands of a person that knows how to execute the office of Chief Executive of the United States.

Obama is going to walk out of the Chief Executive office ignorant of the responsibilities. The Executive is to enforce and impose the laws and by laws of
an active organization.

Yeah, what the hell - $75 should be the minimum if you're gonna be a nitwit and cheat on OT... >sarcasm<

Seriously though - either she's a complete moron to try to pull this, or something else is up - with all the cameras, GPS, tracking, and so on - how'd she think she'd get away with it?

Does the amount really matter? Ask someone paying their property taxes just to up his payment $71.00 to cover this expense and see the reaction. I really think this shows the disconnect between those on the government payroll and those not.

You are so right. It was only $70 bucks or so. Stealing under a certain amount is OK and should really be over looked.

You are an idiot, or a criminal yourself since you have so much sympathy for them.

Don't think they are not watching everywhere here also. The court 26 and California be careful,"hold my slip" be careful, with the cameras for example you get a "duck" the parking lot cameras see what time you arrive and what time you pull out hard to deny it. Do you think the boss will back you? You already know that answer if they can turn their backs on a clouted gold star like Evans what does that say about a working street copper? I know of a great spot your always on camera you scan your tag in to enter garage and to leave they are being looked into also, many heads to roll there also! Bottom line trust no one not worth losing your job-freedom-pension-family! Think the 24/7 anti-police media salivates for any news on police and they can constantly run your name and face all over for bullshit! Who do you trust? to quote Steve Austin WWE wrestler "the only person you trust is the guy you see in the mirror every morning" no statement could be more true especially today!

She still has 20yrs completed and can pension out at age 50 with a 50% pension, based on the lack of felony charges. My math shows her salary as 98647.47/yr
Pension would be 49323.73/yr
4110.31 monthly........she just can't collect for 7yrs
Do cpd 20yr patrolman make 98647 base salary?

Why should it be handled internally? Is she something special?

They haven't mentioned anything yet about official misconduct charges, which IMO could probably be brought. She defrauded the taxpayers and created false (official) documentation in the course of doing so.

Why shouldn't they go the full measure, give her the full dose? This is exactly the type of shit people all around the country are fed up with.

That could easily happen here also be careful not worth losing job and possibly prosecutorial situation! Don't think for a second you are not being watched! What place that never had a C.O. Position filled a position that has a brand new vehicle assigned cake job has for months kept it open can you figure the reason? "Whose watching you!"

That is insane! Be extremely careful, don't think it could not happen to anyone of us! The war on police everywhere is on, for anything then the dishonest media hooks your into the 24/7 biased police reporting loop!

Sounds like a cover story used so they could get rid of her, and make any of her future testimony impeachable. Maybe she knows something that would make the department look bad, so they want her out. Any time you hear a story like this, see if you smell any bullshit in the air. Oftentimes, you will.

Salary and benefits in many towns surrounding Chicago are very good and way better then the cities. Even fire fighters in the burbs are making six figures without overtime. And, to top it off, their pensions leave the CPD and CFD in the dust.
