Arrest, Charges, Disturbing Info

  • A man charged with firing a gun at Chicago Police officers early Thursday in the University Village neighborhood collapsed during his bond hearing Saturday.

Macro Dipaolo, 22, collapsed during an epileptic seizure just before 2 p.m. in the Cook County Criminal Courthouse, 2650 S. California, according to Fire Media Affairs and Dipaolo’s private attorney, Thomas A. Durkin. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition.

Dipaolo, of the 1000 block of West Taylor Street, was charged with three felony counts of attempted murder, a felony count of aggravated discharge of a firearm and misdemeanor counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card, according to Chicago Police.
He's a Taylor Street "businessman" and son of the owner of Mario's Italian Ice.

Word also trickling in that once again, a police officer, who was fully authorized in using Deadly Force, declined to do so because the officer "was worried about the consequences" should he have actually shot the assailant - despite taking fire from the would-be-murderer.

Any police officer who would hesitate in a situation such as that needs to hand in their credentials and find something else to do.

This second guessing is going to get a cop hurt. The bullshit from the LEFT about retreating or deploying another less lethal means of force are not options sometimes. No place to run to and only by the Grace of God that the offender's bullet(s) miss the cop or just wound the cop with enough time for the cop to return fire. Fuck the bastards, make them late for their next birthday once they display the gun not following orders to put the gun down/take hand off gun or shoot at the police.

OT - So did you ever ask yourself how safe does the powers that be keep our personal information used by various city departments? Well the true answer is not very. This past Friday nite the city offices located at 333 S. State Street were burglarized. This building is the DePaul Center that houses several of the city's most vital departments including finance, health, payroll, HR and a few others. Now this job wasn't pulled off by a highly skilled 2nd story guy but, to the best of our knowledge, by some bumbling idiot that used what looks to be a screwdriver. Stairwell and office doors were pried open with little effort and desks and cubicals were rifled through on multiple floors. Laptops were stolen containing god knows what information. But the best part of this is that there was no alarm system, just a smattering of cameras in this enormous building and no POLICE detailed there. Oh and the cameras, no one on scene had access to them. The burglary was discovered and called in by a maintenance man who "might" have seen the culprit but who also conveniently left the scene before police arrived. Yes Chicagoans, you have placed your health and welfare in the hands of a nine digit midget that has more security guarding the front of his house than a building housing records of every city employee on record.

Officers second guessing themselves might get themselves killed. Another incident that an officer would of been justified in shooting a bad guy and they didn't. The anti police rhetoric, city hall, media, Blm. Are the cause

Officers keep in mind your training, being smart doesn't mean you can't shoot a motherfucker who is shooting at you, more important than anything is you and going home to your family,

this punk is part of the daley oscar deangelo taylor street crew! The family is connected big time, with judges, politicians etc.. The clout is overwhelming they own so many people! On another subject rahm is on front page of todays times paper caught in another lie! Whats the old story you tell a lie long enough and you believe it is true right rahm? Then you have sneeds column about the big NYE march downtown with the people carrying them to honor all the murdered in Chicago this year, they should break away and hold vigils in front of the mayors home-city hall, county building, darts home, tonis home and the homes of the 50 stooges! The blood is on their hands father flaky but since your obviously being paid off by city your a scared little boy to follow the truth and protest against the real cause. Always very disturbing for a kid from the old neighborhood to turn rotten, influences from the new breed of thug getting away with murder in what was once a gem of a neighborhood. Ask his grandfather.
The Kim Crew will set an example with this fool...because they can.
Maximum penalty despite the family's expensive legal representation.
Not always the case with the rest of the assailants that come from the same "community".
This kid may be an evil nut, but what's to say that the folks he had the earlier altercation with were even worse.
Officers responded to what they may have perceived as another lawless thug robbing a snowflake, had that been the case, a different outcome was certain to come.
The district gets its CB # and Special Ed gets a weapon recovery, Does the community get any better now that a lawless white thug is going be accomadated extensively by Dart and Prickwrinklez?

Better fetal than a headline.

al's beef: was good in the '70's, now he puts the sausage spices in the sirloin. dumb. at least the taylor location makes their own roast.
partilla's: another one like al's that grew and is everywhere. why get the greatest thing ever from a chain? anyhow, it is good quality, but there is no quantity... part of an investment group now.

the patio on taylor (not the south side dump): won't stay open much longer- get some near perfection before it's gone. killer fries, too. weird, but the purveyor is greco... they pile it on. good sausage. good giardinara. you may read otherwise, but give it a try.

joe boston (chicago/ grand): tough to beat. right there with patio, skinnier fries. plenty meat. good sausage. good giardinara.

toni's (70th/ pulaski): monster sammich.

johnnie's (7500 w. north) you already know how good this place is.

Kind of funny - I googled it, and I got two different answers from two different web pages, both part of the UIC police website. The main page gives Kevin Booker. But there's another page that is supposed to be the UIC chief of police page that has a bio for John Richardson. You can get to it via the link "how are the UIC police organized" and then the link "organizational chart breakdown" and then Chief of Police.

Looks like Booker is the right answer since early 2015. I guess nobody has done a full review of their site in 18 months. Or maybe somebody just liked Richardson better.

I grew up in that neighborhood in the seventies and eighties. It was predominately Italian and a little Irish and some Polish back in the day. The neighborhood was very orderly and pro police then. There's no fucking way some store owners kid would have had the balls to shoot at a police officer back then. Believe me. They would have taken care of the that. I remeber Al's was always packed for lunch. Ton of city loop workers during lunch. I think the beef tasted much better back then. It has a very strong cardamon ( Indian spice) type flavor to it now. And it's outrageously expensive these days. Johnnys in Elmwood is better I think. Times change and so do neighborhoods. And so do generations.

Screw Buona's, not only are their beefs now spiced less to appeal to the suburbanites that frequent these now franchised restaurants, the Buonavolanto family displays the same sickening "can't touch me" attitude as this pos from Mario's. They started a verbal altercation over a bar playlist with an off duty's brother, copper goes to try and diffuse the nonsense. Gets his ass handed to him by 5 of these entitled assholes. I guess selling beef makes you brave enough to fight someone only if you have 4 other people to back you up. This copper and his brother both end up in the hospital, and the higher ups go to see him to ask how they are and suggest they not sign complaints on the family. Disgusting. Eat at Johnnie's.
