Once Again, Parole = Death
A couple of days ago, this guy appeared in the HeyJackass.com stats:
- Marlon Pollard of north suburban Evanston man was shot to death early Monday in a drive-by in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood.
The 36-year-old Pollard was standing outside about 1:10 a.m. in the 2200 block of West Chicago Avenue, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Someone in a black SUV nearby opened fire, striking him in the abdomen, face and left leg, according to police.
Pollard was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he died less than an hour later at 2:05 a.m., authorities said. He lived in the 1400 block of Darrow Avenue in Evanston.
Suburban guy, in the city for a good time, shot and died. Then we got a note that told us the shooter stood over Marlon and pretty much obliterated his head at close range, leading us to assume it was a targeted killing.

2008 plus 15 years equals 2023.
But of course, IDOC still has the day-for-day credit, so a murderer can serve less time than Blago and be released onto the streets of Chicago when he can become yet another murder statistic. Is anyone every going to hold the Department of Corrections and the Legislature responsible for this nonsense or are they just going to go along with the Prickwrinkle school of non-thought.

Targeted for sure. Three gun men exited a parked SUV. Victim's pal ran away and dropped his own pistol at the scene, he returned when police arrived and recovered his own pistol when police weren't looking, yelling about his civil rights, didn't stick around to provide info. Down the block from Chief of Dics home.

Marlon's murder conviction was for killing the son of a prominent attorney in Belize. Hmmm. Marlon was a member of the Belizean Bloods and also may have been involved in a gang-related shooting in Roger's Park on New Year's weekend. The guy who drove him to the location conveniently had to take a piss while the shooting was happening. Hmmmm.
Not sure of his weight, but he ran to avoid the shooter and the last shots were fired as he laid on the sidewalk by Fatso's Last Stand, a favorite hamburger joint in an otherwise very quiet neighborhood.

Marlon was a ranking member of the "belizian bloods". A particularly vicious group from the north end of 024 and Evanston. This guy was a maniac and,used screwdrivers and razors up close and personal. It was his time to be on the receiving end.
It's not IDOC...IDOC just has to follow the judges order..If he/she writes 15years IDOC but puts in TCS and MGT/D4D then that is what it is. Meritorious Good Time and day for a day expired 10 years ago and the statute said no crimes of violence..I'm guessing that would be murder...

Back in 2006 the powers in charge at a/north told my partner and I that the "Belizean bloods" did not exist. Marlon and his crew consistently kept St.Francis e.r. packed with customers over the years. They usually victimized the gd's and the Jamaican posse that was in Evanston. The bloods pushed the Jamaicans out of the picture and didn't deal in small narcotic sales. The bloods did gruesome things to their opposition. Whoever clipped old Marlon didn't want to take a chance he'd survive.expect the far northside to heat up.

He's been interviewed.
Last I checked, crime free zones have not been established around homes of the command staff. New homes in that area go on the market at $1M, so executions aren't exactly a daily occurrence.

SCC, Marlon was the head of the Belizean Bloods from the Northside. Responsible for numerous murders over the years. The Detectives had him dead to rights on a solid First Degree Murder case. Then comes Judge Lynn, Famous for doing what he wants and lowered the charge on his own and found him guilty of Second Degree. He is no loss to society. Good riddance

Obama actually commuted the federal sentences of well over 1000 drug dealers. He commuted or pardoned more convicts then the last 11 presidents . I think his true liberal thoughts will come out now that he is out of office. He pardoned traitors and terrorists and drug dealers.
Well him being dead costs us less than keeping his worthless ass in the stir. But now we will be on the hook $ for who ever sent him to his promised land. It just goes in circles. Surprised they don't try to relocate the scene to Evanston to kill our numbers.
IDOC acting according to Illinois statute created by the legislature. That said- the parole agents and their supervisors must be held accountable to following their own policies.
