Charges Approved

Attempted Murder for shooting at the police last week - we saw no mention of this anywhere. We guess it's only news when cops shoot at offenders and not when offenders shoot at the police.

Here's the radio traffic.

I was on scene. There was media set up with their fancy tripod cameras on the corner of 38th PL & Albany. Had the media deemed it an important event, then maybe it would have gotten 5 seconds of air time after the weather.

Off Topic...

Rest in Peace... 38 years ago tonight.

E.O.W. Officer Bruce N. Garrison, and Police Officer William Marsek, of the Chicago Police Department assigned to the Special Operations Group — Area 6. On February 27, 1974.

Good job by the Zone 13 (9th Dist.) dispatcher. However, three questions:

Did she kick it over to borderline Zone 6 (8th District west of Kedzie) and City-Wide II? Were K-9 dogs at scene checking dumpsters and other hiding places? Did CPD ultimately catch shooter in Z-13 flash message?

s/a retired Area 3 Dick, 3900 S. California Ave. (when we had SIX (6) detective area stations).

P.S.: Unrelated. Please inform certain ignorant SCC posters that like U.S. Congressional districts, Chicago wards (aldercreatures) are based on EQUAL populations, not police district boundaries. Based on the per capita rate of other major U.S. cities, Chicago should have no more than SEVENTEEN (17) wards/aldercreatures. 008 has almost 250,000 residents while districts like 007 and 011 have only about 60,000 population.

Since the media's still stinging from Hillary's loss, the only news we are going to hear is anti-Trump, anti-police, and anti-normal people garbage. The media should all go into the corner with their Boo-Boo Kitties and get over it.

Shit head shoots at POs or in this case sergeant, not a word. 9th Dist. Brass commended everyone. Nice to hear. Great job by all, stay safe and take care of each other!

And Judge Brown at 26th and California sets bond at 500,000. How about setting a tone here Judge and making it no bond? The Cook County court system is in complete disarray and a complete catastrophe. Talk about something that needs to be revamped, let's start with the Cook County court system!

Bandit, good job-you nailed it...

Chicago Tribune today second page has Delusional "Dahleen" spewing her nonsense, as usual casting blame in every place but where it belongs.

The entire papers first Section totals only 16 pages! Seems like the end of the Tribune is near.

Phenomenal job by the officer who was shot at as well as all the officers who assisted. Smart and quick thinking/action setting a perimeter. An awesome testament to the bravery and courage of the officers on CPD. Makes me proud to be apart of this organization. Well done guys and girls. Great police work all around.

(OT) thankfully now that bruce is doing this he is so excited to meet this rapper:

POLITICS
Chance the Rapper to meet with Gov. Rauner: 'I'm eager to hear his ideas'

http://abc7chicago.com/politics/chance-the-rapper-to-meet-with-gov-rauner-im-eager-to-hear-his-ideas/1776026/

What are they going to discuss what can a rapper advise us, Bruce has built a multi-million dollar fortune and is getting advice on:

"I'm meeting privately with the governor Wednesday," the Windy City native and musician tweeted Monday. "The two of us will address funding education in Chicago. I'm eager to hear his ideas."

Chance, who backed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, took the opportunity to ask for a meeting with the governor.

(And chance backed a losing criminal no surprise there)

The 23-year-old rapper was born and raised in Chicago and has been outspoken in his opposition to President Donald Trump. He voiced his support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement and led hundreds to an early voting location last November following a free concert.

(he is a 23 year old punk kid and supports black lies matter movement gee Bruce have you met with heads of law enforcement? Law enforcement unions? you Bruce are pathetic pandering are you going to shine the kids shoes also? rappers are great people ask tupac, biggy smalls and the rest such good people correct?)Hello Bruce "Law and order" say it again ahh your scared!

It was a PO from Gang Int., not a SGT.. I didn't see any brass on scene or at A/C commending anybody. Everybody did a stellar job and everything worked out great in the end..

Re "... Rest in Peace... 38 years ago tonight.

May their souls be at peace but I think it was more time ago than that just saying. I remember the story b/c someone I knew lived above that tavern - high school juniors at the time so 16 years old then, 59 now.

He heard the shots coming from below the apt, they came in 2 distinct groupings bang bang bang bang count 2-3 seconds then bang bang, the killer stopping to make sure both police officers dead. Sick.

Hearing the "pops" he looked out the apt window to the street below to see the killer walking to his car parked there, said the guy looked up at him but kept on to the car, drove NB away from the murder. The next day's news the Milwaukee cops killed him was a relief to his family as they were anxious the cop killer might come back to kill any witnesses. Chilling doesn't come close to adequate description.

Again, peace to the policemen & their surviving loved ones.
