I hate to admit it but I'm really starting to think this cheating scandal isn't going anywhere after all. There's too much at stake politically. The players are all minorities and politically connected. It would question every single promotion going back decades, and it's not STILL bring handled internally.
If you think I'm wrong then write to some of our "reporters" through their links on internet versions of the Sun Times or Chicago Tribune.
They won't even acknowledge receiving them anymore.

Scc. Since the sgts union is busy with pizza parties and golf outing planning, is it possible that an attorney is interested in filing a lawsuit on behalf of all people on this list. I am sure there are many who would fork over a couple of hundred dollars to move forward on it. There has always been lawsuits on major tests before yet with blatant cheating, there is none? Let the lawyer file subpoenas and get to the bottom of it and also put an injunction on this thing. This is embarrassing.
My question is how do you promote a person to sergeant or detective by the way of merit when they don't have any type of history of making lawful arrests or investigation? This type of thing just pisses me off to the highest level. How can they ever supervise or investigate anything? You might as well promote PPO'S to these ranks straight out of the academy!
The new snitch email system will soon be up and in operation. The IG is still working on it. Everyone must get a ID on the system so you can let them know about the cheating on the promotional exams. I'm up for sending a daily email about the exams cheating. Just giving them what they ask for.

You must be kidding and you are fooling yourself if you think the political class will give up their control over the promotion and assignments within the police department. The federal judge gave Chicago racial/political class a gift when he gave the go ahead for merit promotions. The city ran with it and now look at the results when you have tghe majority of the command staff merit appointees, people who never passed a promotion exam based on the policies and practices of the police department. i recall when the detectives exam was based on logic problems and theories out of the book " Fundamentals of Criminal Investigation". Just too hard for budding detectives to read and study and of course the right people were not promoted. I really wonder what the effectiveness of merit appointees to detective really is, now that the homicide clearance rate is under 30%???
The DOG Report stated the Chicago IG is conducting an investigation. Unfortunately the IG is partially controlled by city politics.
That means the investigation will go public when the mayor allows it too. The evidence against the guilty parties is factual.
They bragged and drew too much attention to themselves and that will cost many of them their reputations and career.

This merit Sgt takes the Lt's exam and ends up number 2 on the list? By the way, the boy wonder is connected to the 35th study group. So "Lt Pap Smear" tell us how you did it!
What a pair of dimwits, how can you punish someone connected who happens to be dumb as a bag of hammers, when the other bag of hammers is just as gifted.
I say the punishment should be that the demoted Cheaters (after a random drug test) take the Exam again (at Rank of Sergeant), before several District PO's (assigned as proctors), give the same questions in a different order, score it and publish the results.
Penalty: 1 yr. Suspension w/o pay for every wrong answer, after serving suspensions, be retested as a Sergeant, failure would result returning to Rank of PO.
-of course we'd have to wait at least several years for all of them to come off the FLMA, then the Medical.

Ok, so I guess you are privy to all the evidence. I haven't seen the emails, I haven't talked to wintnesses, all I hear are accusations. Do I think people could have cheated, dam straight! But I will give the police the benefit of the doubt until they are proven guilty. I will not judge them on what they may have done, only on what they are doing now, and for now Lt Wines has been nothing but professional.

Papa was a joke in 018. Merit Sgt then went to 006 where he met Special Ed who was the commander. Special Ed took a liking to him thus special invite to the cheating study group. That's how Papa made Lt. Elias study group had zero of the answers. Papa was taken care of my Noble. Papa never had a hard day on this job.
