Armed Carjackings
How can this be? Juveniles getting guns? There are laws against this you know!
- Vehicular hijackings in Chicago nearly doubled between 2015 and 2016 — and so far this year, the city is holding pace with last year.
Police say juveniles who are targeting high-end vehicles are the main reason for the sustained number of carjackings.
Through May 8, 270 carjackings were reported across Chicago, according to city crime data. Of those, 158 involved a weapon.
In 2012, 487 vehicular hijackings were reported across the city. Over the next three years, that number fell to between 300 and 350.
Then, in 2016, the total shot up to 661, records show. With 270 carjackings reported through early May, Chicago is keeping pace with last year’s spike.
Shooting crimes might be fractionally down, but carjackings, with the accompanying fleeing-and-eluding, and continuous non-charging by Kim Foxxxx's office for "property crimes" is yet another reason why intelligent people are getting and carrying guns.

lets not forget that taking someone's car by force while armed is a forcible felony. I recall the deal in South Shore where the offender ran and was shot. Theywanted tohang the officer out to dry
Ms. Kim's policy is keep a lot of young men out of jail and from ruining their lives. She really cares for the folks in the community. High end vehicles are usually owned by rich people, who can afford to loose it, just consider it their fair share contribution to the needy folks in the community.
We cannot stop the little darlings before to see if they have a gun and we cannot chase the car once they take it at gun point to catch them. IT'S THE PERFECT CRIME!!!
Don't forget that pud, Dart.
Aiming for the weak minded voter, he regularly bemoans the sad fates of "property crime" offenders that he's doing his damndest to help.
Their misinformation and propaganda narratives are repeated all day long by their media stooges, and it's how they destroyed Illinois. They swung enough white women in suburban Cook and the collar counties to believe this bullshit. And now that they're getting jacked from Norwood Park to Arlington Heights, they're scared. Unfortunately they still won't or can't connect the dots. They get what they deserve.
Is the media reporting on this, are they making people aware of what's going on? Or is it just a small item on page 7 of the newspaper or maybe 10 seconds of air time on the nightly news.
They probably don't want to make a big deal of it because the face of a bawling, squalling family member whose little p.o.s. gets killed trying to hi-jack the wrong car makes for better news.
That's the liberal media. Only make you think they're on your side when the news should have no side.
J.J.
This is a direct result of the policies of Kim Foxx and her top people in the new "non-victim focused" State's Attorney's Office. She has publicly said on my than one occasion that she was going to dramatically change the policies on prosecuting juvenile offenders which is double speak for "I'm no longer going to prosecute juvenile offenders". Her First Deputy Eric Sussman openly tells people that the State's Attorney's Office has been too concerned about victims for too long and is now focused on what's good for "the community". What community is he talking about? Because he's not talking about the victims community where car jackings are rampant. Many of the recent car jackings on the northside in Lakeview are nearly exactly the same. Two juvenile offenders from the southside make their way up to Lakeview and approach their targeted victim either in a car or on foot and take the victims car and belongings with a gun or by implying they have a gun. Many times, they don't get caught. Lakeview resident paying $20K per year or more in property taxes they says "F this" and moves to a safer place, like the burbs, and takes their tax money with them. And Chicago continues its spiral downward all as a result of some insane desire by people like Foxx that the system should be kinder to criminals.
Back quite a few years, Florida was having a real problem with armed car jackings and home invasions. When European travel agents put the state on the dangerous list the tourist industry had a fit. Concealed carry rules were relaxed and quite a few car jackers and home invaders got lead poisoning and the problem went away. The county I reside in has about one fifth of all adults legally carrying. An armed society is a polite society. Grew up in Marquette Park neighborhood and happily living on the Emerald Coast of NW Florida.
Citizen, only you can protect your expensive car. They police cannot. Get a gun and fight back.
They are just playing
These little mongrels better not try taking my Smart Car. I got something fir them.
Now, kees me you fool!!!!
Carjackings - bad - but I don't think the article mentioned that these same crews are also branching out to armed robberies of convenience stores and mass auto thefts at Hertz and the like - not just carjackings
Squad, give me an event number for a hunch lab mission. Nothing to see here.
Obviously we need more gun laws SCC. Probably more street planters too. And a Whole Foods out west. And a raise for the aldermen. Yeah, that should do it!
We can no longer upgrade to adult charges which was a deterrent in the past. Now, even if we catch the little thug with a gun he still is charged as a juvenile.
I tell citizens everyday to get their CCL and a nice weapon that fits your hand and practice all the time!
Police cannot help you in your time of dire need!
Hijack me. I promise I won't light you up!
And both PrickCanker and Foxxwinkle are aching to have their moment, to be Mayor of Chicago one day.
Absolutely NO JUVENILE justice system.
No penalty, just a 1 hour or less in a District station waiting for a kin folk to show up and a Fax from the Area.
The Area however spends more time on paper work than the feral urban predators spends in custody.
If the liberal high brow imported luxury vehicle driving public knew what their Democrat Vote did to Law and Order in Chicago and Illinois.
Hey Rahm ... How's the "community trust" (or was it trusting the community) thing working out?
Never relax in Feral Cook Co. Chicago.
Retired for awhile and I have thought about these carjackings very seriously. Most of the time, if you are setting in your vehicle and a carjacker approaches with a draw gun, well you are at a disadvantage most of the time. This is just me and I'm not saying this is the best way or anything like that, but if you have a better idea please let us know. I started thinking about where you are vulnerable and getting into your auto is where I'll start. While I'm getting ready to enter into my car, I pull my gun out and while I'm sitting, I place the gun on my lap. My theory, the gun is in your hand getting into vehicle and when you're setting its still accessible, which in my opinion gives you an advantage getting to you gun. Trying to draw a gun in almost any situation with someone already with a gun pointed at you would be a problem and not advisable. At night parking my car in the garage, I first unbuckle my seat belt and place the gun on my lap. I back the vehicle into the garage with the bright lights on, and before leaving the car and garage, I look to the right and left outside the over-hang door. In the now darkened garage before existing the garage, I hesitate and look again to the right and left. I can up with leaving the brights on, when one day I was going to the garage and my wife was in the car with the bright lights on. When I approach to enter the garage, the bright lights knock-out any night vision I had and it was difficult to see with any detail into the dark areas of the garage. Lastly, I practice in abstract, possible whys I could be accosted and where I would be able to take up a defensive position from if needed. Using your imagination in creating game like scenarios, is one of the best tools in preparing for and reacting to an incident where you may have to defend yourself or a loved one.
I'd laugh if Kimmy and her like-minded judges, Dart and media members were car jacked or victimized. Hell, I'd love to be the paper car. "Officer, what the hell, you act like you don't care! Aren't you going to chase them?" I love explaining how we can't do shit anymore but I will offer them a well-written report, offer them medical aid and put a flash out for the offenders but that they must know the officers will not chase if they refuse to stop. Justice served right, good day.
We are turning into Gotham City, we just need some colorful archvillains.
I used to think hey it's just a car not worth it , now I don't give a fuck anymore ....Gun up bitches

Seriously.
Just look at the little prancing pansy

So what does this fool tells a guy who is being careful and defensive, to move out of the city because he must live in one fucked up hood. To the fool, what neighborhood is safe??? Again to the fool, no hood is safe anymore, any place in Cook is not safe, even northern Wisconsin is not safe. Hey get your head out of yours ass and see the writing on wall asshole.

Lol!
And while they were pushing this flaming
clown car of a narrative into the center ring,
we can't help but notice that Rahm has been
curiously scarce of late.
When he's behind on the spin, he tends to
be scarce while his cadre of propeller-heads
furiously war-game the upcoming 8, 24, 48
and 72 hour news cycles.
Rahm is like a little leather-clad pimp going
around threatening the block with a big dog.
Until the dog slips the leash and tears the ass
out of Rahm's tight leather britches.
Just all kinds of funny imagining him in the high
branches of a christy webber sapling while the
dog bounces around waiting for him to climb
down...

have been treed by your own agenda/narration.
The pot just chirped.
Time for that morning cup.

Good advice guy, if I may add in my two sense. Just two points, when I'm in a restaurant I try to be seated in the rear where I'm able to see who is entering via the entrance. And two, while stopped in traffic, I keep at least a half cars length away from the vehicle in front of me. Also, I try to be in the left lane with the half car space so I'm able if necessary to maneuver out of trouble. These punk carjackers will kill you without even thinking about it, so everyone should be thinking about getting an edge if something like that occurs. Be safe and fetal, these are very strange times girls and boys.

Please elaborate Let's make it easy. Which neighborhoods are not fucked up? After 8 years of Obamination and plus years of Banana Republic corruption, give us some nonfucked up places to go.

Yeah...
Obama was cutting all kinds of fucked up E/Os purposely
designed to insure as many decent places as possible
are lawfully mandated to have a certain percentage
of imported inner-city misery.
That pretty much rules out mid-sized to smaller
urban centers in this country.
The better alternative is small and mid sized
towns in red states or going off the grid totally.
Going off the grid takes time and serious commitment.
One old partner has a nice spread of land in Arkansas.
Lots of old growth hardwoods and fruit trees.
Deer, boar and other critters. He grows his own
veggies and he was getting set up to have guided
hunts on his land.
And the topper?
He has a spring fed source of water
on his land.
We crowned him as "The Winner."
Look toward the mid-south if you're so inclined.
From the Ozarks to the Blue Ridge.
They'll be happy to have you escapees
from Chicago.
They WANT YOU to school them about the
perils of Dude Inc. and the subversive/
seditious/traitorous white guilt
Progressive Democrat Trotskyites who
fund, aid and gives material support
to Dude and ALL he stands for.
Yeah yeah... The truth is racist.
Right?
