Federal Gun Case

  • A man who sources say sold an assault rifle to gang members — which was then used to shoot two Chicago Police officers last May — was released from federal custody on a $4,500 bond on Wednesday.

Charles Williams was arrested and charged in federal court last week with possession of a firearm by a felon. On Wednesday, Magistrate Judge Young B. Kim ordered him released on $4,500, court records show.

A law enforcement source told the Chicago Sun-Times that Williams is believed to be the man who sold a high-caliber assault rifle to members of the La Raza gang. The gun was used in a May shooting that wounded two Chicago Police officers at 43rd and Ashland.
And so continues the local effort to ignore or downplay gun-running charges that should result in extensive prison terms in the Federal Pen. The goofy judge was appointed to the Northern District in 2010, so we can probably guess his political leanings....and we imagine they tilt a wee bit to the port side.

Very believable when you are talking about an Obama appointed federal judge. The man was very careful not to appoint anyone that had the slightest bit of conservatism in them.

This *judge*, Young B. Kim isn't a 'real' Federal Judge, he's a Magistrate Judge.

As such, he wasn't nominated by any POTUS or confirmed by the senate. He was appointed by the Chief Judge for the Northern District of Illinois, James Holderman, in 2010 to an eight year term, like all magistrate judges are. Those are a couple reasons I say Kim's not a 'real' Federal Judge. Plus Magistrate Judges are supposed to be like assistants to Federal District Court Judges and function more as an administrator. And any court cases handled are 'supposed' to be for Petty Crimes. Again, NOT like a 'real' judge.

Now why this *Not Real Judge* got assigned a Bail Hearing for a fuckin' Gun Runner here in Mogadishu by the lake when the city streets are covered in BLOOD, annnnd the Rifle he ILLEGALLY sold to the Mexican Gangbanger was used to shoot POLICE OFFICERS, sure is a damn head-scratcher. In addition to being away from them, now I get to listen to criticism about being a scab etc from my co-workers?

It's easy for guys like them to make suggestions like this. Dean collected a disability pension for more than a decade while working a full time job and is driving a shiny new Mercedes. Casciano made over 400k over three years at FOP.

They had three years to show their stuff and failed miserably. This is another example of just how out of touch these guys are with the FOP membership and why they didn't get elected.

S'all good - It's Cook County:

April 2017 -
"A Mount Prospect woman pleaded guilty to selling guns illegally and was sentenced to probation.
Simone Mousheh, 23, pleaded guilty Thursday to the illegal transfer of firearms in exchange for 12 months probation and 15 days in the Cook County sheriff's work alternative program, according to court records. S.W.A.P. allows judges to sentence nonviolent offenders to manual labor in lieu of jail time."

So one can see where the case of Charles Williams is headed.

Generalissimo and former obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, now mayor of Murder Capital USA, WILL NOT challenge the Court or the "black and brown" justice reform ideology of PrickWanker and KmFxxx or DilDart.

But we still need a Sugar Drank-Pop Tax, bag tax and income tax increase.

The magistrate judge was appointed by the district judges, not by Obama. And the stories say the AUSA didn't provide the information about the police shootings to the judge the first time. The AUSA may have wanted to keep the confession quiet.

The release order was still too lenient given the crime and the prior mirder conviction, but it's not as much the judge's fault as portrayed.

I am of the opinion that Donald Trump "sending in the Feds" can be very beneficial in chicago, HOWEVER, only if it's done the right way.

The last thing we need is a bunch of federal office clowns running around the south and west side trying to do street level policework themselves. That is NOT what will help.

What WILL help is sending those agents out in response to UUW arrests. Having those agents take statements/interview the offenders themselves, and having those agents walk the CPD arresting officers through preparation of reports for a federal prosecution.
Anyone who has had cases picked up federally knows- it's not like prepping at 26/Cal, and a lot of times CPD reports are written inadequately to prosecute federally anyways.

If the agents can come in after and facilitate the preparation of the case for federal prosecution, and then assist in taking it to the federal level, THAT is how they can be of the most use/help to the city.
Plucking the right offenders off the street and sitting them down federally is much more effective that letting them bond out of county and fighting a county case at the revolving door known as 26th street.

Moving to Indiana to have your Pension that you worked for in Illinois taxed like regular income by the State of Indiana and possibly a county tax too.

Better think twice about domiciling in Indiana, senior citizen only receive a property tax break if their retirement income is less than $25k a year.

Buying a new car is another shot in the arm for the tax man. 7% at purchase and then a graduated excise tax at license plate time for 10 years that totals 18% of the cost of the vehicle.

And hospitals, most out here have affiliation with the major hospitals in Chicago so they have some credibility, accident, burns and gunshot majors are transferred to Chicago area.
