Logic Loop
After reading about the new cars yesterday, and all the technology that will allow cops to respond faster that the speed of light to crime scenes, has anyone in the Department or political realm actually thought this through?
- Shotspotter = faster response
- faster response = confronting gunmen
- confronting gunmen = potential shootouts
- shootouts = more cops stripped
- more cops stripped = more fetal Department
- more fetal = more Shotspotter to catch criminals
There's a flaw here.

Don't forget to de-escalate too.
The very last item may just be that flaw you were looking for.
Keep on, keeping on!
Looks like they ultimately look to send cops through the washer and tumble dry for an extended period of time... remember to fold and stack
Just skip to step 6: more fetal.
Stay at more fetal.
No stripping, no lawsuits, no prison for you.
"Logic Loop"
SCC confronts a sublimely ridiculous conundrum...
*Shotspotter = faster response
*faster response = confronting gunmen
*confronting gunmen = potential shootouts
*shootouts = more cops stripped
*more cops stripped = more fetal Department
*more fetal = more Shotspotter to catch criminals
If we recall, one of the stalwart regulars here
did describe a similar such CPD logic pretzel thusly:
"...A bird flying in an ever tightening spiral
until it disappears into it's own ass."
>FLASH!<
"POOF!"
That Policemen still even show up for this
circular logic shit-show of a job that anyone
with good God-Given sense would actively avoid
being sucked into.
Protect yourselves first and always
no matter who or what.
Stay the fuck out of "Tha' Communerty's" business.
You'll keep your job, keep your home, keep your
family fed and clothed and you'll have a pension
in addition to not being a pin cushion for the
aclu, #blm, Cook County State's Attorney
Kim "My Peoples & Folkses Revenge" Foxx,
doj and the media.
Police Like You Have No Friends.
more fetal = more crime.
more fetal = less cops stripped, fired, tried, and/or sued.
When the local media gets its orders to do a story, they behave like all us other subordinates and just do as they are told.
The on air story on local stations about the new cars looked an awful lot like the last few softball pieces about new cars. Does anyone recall the exact same podium in front of new cars touting the report writing station equipped in the back with plate readers and cameras?
Or the story they do about 500 new bikes every six months or so?
Or the oft repeated fake news about 1000 new boots on the ground?
Or how they will clear out those assigned to administrative positions indoors and send them out to the streets?
Or the usual fluff with Rahm in a hard hat announcing the completion of some big intersection construction mess, and how the new configuration will ease delays... even though the intersection remains clogged, and the project was no where near completion and doesn't look like it'll ever be completed???
Trust me when I tell you that I respond at the Speed of Erosion to any and everything other than a 10-1.
What's that? A burglary in progress? Meh.
A hard charging Hair Gel in foot pursuit of the almighty 2027? Pass.
Fire wants me to ride with them on a Man Down/Possible OD? I'll get there when I get there.
ShotSpotter is no different. In fact, you'd be smart to slow it down even more if it minimizes the possibility of driving into gunfire while you're a sitting duck in a squad car.
Lmfao! So true SCC. What a joke. All smoke and mirrors. Stay fetal and back each other up. Stay safe, stay employed.
Dont forget to desclate and d yout ISR even with PC now.
Anyone going over the speed limit racing around is a goof. I will not give a nickel to benefit.
It's all theoretical. The pdt's wont work half the time and when they do the policees will be on job after job unable to respond in a timely manner.
My pdt doesn't boot up
There is no shortage of idiots that want to pretend this is another era. Keep chasing the beast that'll get you places, or better yet that'll get your boss places and you in a trick bag.
I'll stop that whole chain of events by just skipping all the other steps and going straight to staying fetal
And according to the brass. If the bad guys start using more fireworks around the neighborhoods. Then you will be runnug to many, many false calls.
SCC you forgot ; more scholars who are this/close to turning their lives around = more lawsuits filed by their families and blood sucking lawyers who are enriching themselves at the tax payers expense.
More safety for criminals and illegal aliens!
Sanctuary is not for the police don't forget.
J.J.
You jest..
It's a vicious cycle.
Do your job and get hurt and then lose disability
There's no flaw. That's liberal logic 101.
There is an SUV with a tarp over it in bay one at area north garage that has 16 holes in the passenger side window that were shot from the inside out, it has been there for three weeks. Interesting!
In the end the politically connected judges don't penalize the bad guys6, so why jeopardize your life/ job? 🍕
Big changes coming to Exempts and IAD, and anyone not playing ball with Rahm or IPRA's new media war against us is out. People better have thick skin and be prepared for the bashing we are about to receive.
The Flaw: It's a California enterprise.
The kick in the nuts: Democrat run cities all subscribe to the worthless technology.
ShotSpotter leases the technology to cities at a cost of $65,000 to $95,000 per square mile per year.
NBC Chicago reports the newer system comes with a price tag of roughly $100,000 for every 1.5 square miles its used.
The technology is currently used in three square miles.
That's a lot of money to locate a ghetto gunshot that hardly if ever, produces even a felony- immune community member.
FUN FACTS:
The company led by CEO Ralph Clark had RAISED nearly $70 million in venture funding since it was founded in 2004.
- Its biggest shareholder is Lauder Partners, with a 37.4 percent stake.
- Other big shareholders include Motorola Solutions(15.6 percent),
- Claremont Creek Ventures(11.3 percent),
- RT Groos LLC (10 percent)
- Labrador Ventures(6.1 percent).
• It posted a LOSS of about $6.9 million on $15.5 million in revenue last year.
• That compares to a LOSS of $6.2 million on $11.8 million in revenue in 2015.
• BUT HEY - Let's Go IPO ($30 mil) in 2017 !!!
NOW - Full Disclosure, LET'S SEE THE STOCK PORTFOLIOS OF RAHM, THE ALDERTHIEVES, appointed Exempt Merits and the Cook County Elected.
I can't wait to wreck one of these new cars. My excuse will be "but my computer didn't tell me to stop and it's supposed to know everything...." And it baffles me people actually believe this crap. Hey boss, f-off I still ain't doing crap other than what's required! You explain it at crapstat. And yes, I like saying crap!!!!
Yes and it's in your logic. Hmmm, but is it Reductio ad absurdum or a Slippery slope fallacy?
I spend my time being fetal and using my time to educate myself on what states I can apply and move to. I also laugh at the hard chargers that still think this is another era. I use to worry about bidding to a so called nice district now I focus on leaving the state.
Like always when dealing with Chicago follow the money.
Somebody is getting very fat off of this Shotspotter and Humch Lab stuff.
We can't get decent chairs in our station and the A/C never really works too well in the summer but the city will sink millions upon millions on these SDSC rooms and the Shotspotter and Hunch Lab propaganda.
Just give me a working PDT.
