As predictable as the sun rising in the east, a politician blames the police for their own failures:
- Minneapolis police Chief Janee Harteau resigned Friday at the request of the mayor, who said she lost confidence in the chief following last weekend's shooting death of an unarmed Australian woman by a police officer.
In a statement released Friday, Harteau said: "I've decided I am willing to step aside to let a fresh set of leadership eyes see what more can be done for the MPD to be the very best it can be."
Mayor Betsy Hodges said she asked for the chief's resignation.
"I've lost confidence in the Chief's ability to lead us further ... it is clear that she has lost the confidence of the people of Minneapolis as well," Hodges said. "For us to continue to transform policing — and community trust in policing — we need new leadership at MPD."
No word on if citizens have "lost confidence" in the political leadership that pushes through shaky recruits who rack up multiple federal lawsuits regarding Civil Rights violations in the name of "diversity." But you won't see that reported in the mainstream media.

The area where Justine Damand was shot is a very good part of Minneapolis. 50th and Wabash is just north of the wealthy suburb of Edina. This area has a lot of white liberal upper middle class taxpayers. When they say jump, the Mayor better damned well jump. They held a protest march with hundreds of people this week. Local citizens (well off executive types and their spouses), MN BLM (which is about 3/4 white college students and white professional "activists," and the like. Since it was mostly older white taxpayers, there were no shootings, burnt out buildings, or violent riots. So no national news coverage. And everyone at City Hall was shitting themselves.
Mayor Hodges, who already had challengers may not survive the primary.
Democratic mayor and governor. Enough said.
The Minneapolis Police were already in trouble. The week before Justine Damand was shot and killed, an officer shot two dogs. The original story didn't match the surveillance video from the homeowner. Minnesotans get really upset when anyone hurts their pets, so the officers were not very popular even before Noor shot Ms. Damand.

Want to understand what is happening in Minneapolis Minnesota about Justine Damand and Officer Mohammed Noor?
The local stations are WCCO TV, KSTP TV, KMSP TV, and KARE TV. The newspaper is the Minneapolis (Red) Star and Tribune.
The week before the Damand shooting, a Minneapolis Police officer shot and wounded two dogs in a backyard, and many think he panicked and shot the dogs.
Last year, across the Mississippi River in Falcon Heights, Officer Geronimo Yanez shot and killed Philandro Castile, who had a carry permit and a gun. BLM was very active protesting that shooting, camping at the Governors Residence, shutting down I94 at least twice. The winter before that, two officers were trying to subdue a man that assaulted two EMTs, and shot and killed him. BLM camped in the Fourth Precinct yard for weeks. They shutdown freeways, Minneapolis Saint Paul International Airport, and the Mall of America.
Now they kill a beautiful SWPL Blonde Yoga Instructor, the fiancé of a Casino Executive, who lived in a very wealthy (Fulton) Neighborhood. (SWPL is stuff white people like.). These people are the big donors to the Minnesota DFL. Sadly, I am almost glad she was white. If she was a minority, I think Minneapolis would have had riots, more dead people, and burnt out neighborhoods by now. We have had almost daily protests, but none have been violent. The most contentious scene has been the Minneapolis Mayor press conference Friday, tonight, where she had to leave for her own safety.
Expect more resignations and firings. These powerful liberal people will demand it. These DFL Donors get what they want.
I won't even fish in that state.
This woman must have known (since she was a SJW) that there was a Somoli on the force and goes outside without the proper headcovering or male escort??? C'mon liberals, we all know who's at fault here.
Last year after the Castillo shooting their Governor stated he would never have been shot if he was white. It appears as if they have changed that policy.

This goof murdered the woman, plain and simple, while he was on duty, in uniform, from the front seat of the police car, with his gun literally in front of his partner's face, which undoubtedly caused the partner to shart his pants and lose his hearing and made his face into the blowback backstop for the gases, powder and bits of metal.
Regardless, there have been mistakes made by us and mistakes hired, but absolutely nothing of ours compares to this outrageous, non-sensical, inexplicable, blatant assassination.
The rookie will be tried, convicted, sent away and good riddance. And when the powers that be thoroughly investigate and interview and get the paper trail, Minneapolis is going to pay dearly.

Only an ignorant person would compare what happened in one city to what happens in another city when it comes to police officers. Cleveland paid its officers 10 bucks an hour , this told to me by an attorney representing the accused officer. Youdon't get much for that money. It might have been a BB gun, but it sure looked real. And, the accused Cleveland officer was not fired by previous department but asked to leave. That is an employment history that is hard to verify. Why make this a racial issue when it is not.
Their mayor is taking a page from asshole Rahm's book:

The Tamir Rice shooting, while tragic, was justifiable given the circumstances. The typical go to of the left in the country is to automically insert race and past incidents into any current story, regardless of the relevance.
I'll reserve judgment for Officer Noor until the investigation is complete but this story is ugly.

The Cleveland situation was totally different.
While it's unfortunate that a 12 year old was killed he was holding a (replica) gun and was described by the caller and perceived by the officer as a threat.
The MPD incident was totally different. While I really don't like to Monday Morning quarterback it sure seems like a bad shoot by an officer who went way outside typical protocol.
