This is a hilarious bit of "reporting" by Mope-rah regarding her daughter's vehicle getting stolen - the car is nicknamed "Tootie" by the way:
- Where in the world is Tootie? My daughter left her parked a block from her apartment when she went away for the Thanksgiving holiday. When she came back a few days later, Tootie was gone. There wasn’t even broken glass to mark the spot where the car had been.
Thank the Lord; my daughter and granddaughter weren’t carjacked. Still, the theft is upsetting. Is Tootie being stripped naked for parts? Is the thief using poor Tootie as a getaway car in a crime spree?
Given the prevalence of identity theft, we’re also concerned that my daughter’s personal information could be gleaned from items left in the car’s glove compartment.
Remember, this is the same woman who had her car stolen a number of years back and when the police got it long with a number of arrests, Mope-rah refused to even sign complaints for the lowest of Criminal Trespass charges because she couldn't see her way to actually stand up for herself and teach habitual criminals that stealing was wrong.
We're surprised she hasn't taught her kids to leave their cars parked with the windows down, keys in the ignition and with a full tank of gas so that the "less fortunate" can get around on "borrowed" wheels for a while.

I know this is unrelated to the topic but I wanted to see if SCC has been following the Joe Frugoli civil trial going on this past week and continuing next week at the Dirksen. I have attended each day of the trial and as an observer, I can say it's not looking good for the city/Frugoli. The plaintiffs are expected to wrap up their case tomorrow and the defense will then take 1-2 days, so expect a possible verdict as early as Thursday. Frugoli is coming back to testify on Wednesday. I wouldn't be surprised if the city offers to settle before starting their defense on Tuesday. There is a strong possibility of a large financial penalty coming if they take it to a verdict. Aside from the money, the code of silence (as it specifically relates to alcohol use by officers) is a key determining factor in this case and obviously the city wants to avoid a repeat of the Abbate verdict, where a federal jury acknowledged a code of silence. I have also noticed a ranking police officer present at the defense table. He doesn't seem to working for the defense but is closely observing everything. Going by the markings on his uniform he appears to be a Captain. Does anyone know who this guy is or what his involvement is RE Frugoli's case? A number of current CPD officers have taken the stand so far and he is definitely paying close attention. Is it normal to have a ranking officer at the defense table in these trials?

No, you sound like an idiot. Kim Fox does not pick the jury and I can assure you from personal experience with the ASA prosecuting the case, he would never try to taint the jury pool, but spent a lot of time and effort prosecuting these 6 in order to get a conviction
