One of biggest tax scams is overstating business related vehicle expenses. I’ll bet you my left nut this director pads the business related vehicle deductions on his/her tax return. Not sure how well the IRS has been catching up to these scammers, but it’s quiete popular right now. Buy a new or newer car, claim you’re using it for business and then inflate the business related expenses (depreciation being a big one) and then get a bigger return which helps offset the car payments.

Read these .So they sound like they are a really caring company. But guess what, they are using the money you pay them for your gas bill to support all these programs. A little redistribution of the wealth whether you support it or not. Now you know why your gas bill is so high.

I saw a blonde women(about 27-32yrs, 5'7", about 180lbs filling up her city owned vehicle at the city pumps on Iron street. In the rear window was an UBER sticker. Tax payers are paying for city hall employees gas and vehicles for non-city work. I wish I had free gas for my vehicle.

Isn’t there an old regulation requiring all sworn department employees to notify the department in writing of any additional employment they are involved in? Isn’t there a department rule prohibiting department employees from owning/operating taxicabs or other licensed public transportation vehicles? Is there a possible Ethics Violation here? Just asking.
Might not be a bad idea for a few of us to set up surveillances on these board members and see what they are up to during their private time.
