As Reported Here First

First and only as far as we can tell:
  • CFD being ordered to cruise the hood for up to three hours each shift in their fire trucks!!
    Rahm is Nuts!
We've heard from a few firefighters up north. Maybe if the CFD rolled through the west side and cooled everyone off with the deck gun, it'd further cut down on heat related homicides.

That is a heavy cost to the city with driving heavy equipment around. Total misuse of manpower and equipment. Those vehicles are expensive to operate and what can fire personnel do with no crime fighting training or equipment.

This proves Rahm is clueless and desperate.

While a mounted .50 cal would be more desirable, that water pressure effect + the sheer volume, is quite the experience on the receiving end of it.

Sort of the Fire Department version of the ghetto knock out game.

With the added benefit of providing a thorough body washing......

That’s ridiculous. Not to mention a waste of tax payers dollars. At what cost are these rigs to roll around?

I would pay money to see CFD rolling down the west side, side street, using the water cannon to “cool the residents down”. How about blasting them right off the side walk. That would be some funny shit. I am laughing out loud just thinking about it.

Patrolling fire buggies belching out 3 hours of expensive diesel, especially when theres an air quality issue.

Bring back Streets and San broom pushers with their carts to clean up the community, arm them and provide BC’s and a box of ISR’s too.
This will pad the fake 1,000 number Jugghaid Special Ed keeps repeating for Rahm.

Whose bright idea and why aren’t politicians contributing 3 hours a day to community service?

Wasn't there an am-bu-lance done shot up this weekend? WTF? besides the large volume of fuel pumped out to operate this rigs, will the CFD be wearing all their gear while driving around? What happens when there is a call on the opposite side of whatever area they are driving in? I figure the delay to stop, gear up, avoid getting mugged or shot during gear up, and going to call would add an extra 20-30 minutes to response.
Seriously, there is a reason for these people and vehicles to be stationed and on stand by.

Might as well. Don’t have to let dispatch know of all the open fire hydrants. They can close them as they are riding along.

Another brilliant idea by the minds at city hall! Why not save the fuel? Why not have the police dispatched in same way? Police should stay in the stations until needed, would save the vehicles, millions in fuel, and stress on coppers this would be a win win for the thin Blue line!

Then Rham shorted the pension fund for police again this year, think this cannot happen here?

Study: Some public pensions funds could run dry in downturn
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/study-some-public-pensions-funds-could-run-dry-in-downturn/

You have to wonder who invest "our money!" The vanecko scandal where 60 million was freely signed off on and given to daleys family to "invest" should of been the target of a federal inquiry! Are the pension board "fat cats" still giving out money in losing "friends of the elected" scams?

Here's the deal my friend, Every major city in this country is run by progressive democrat politicians who will continue this insanity. The rest of the country had their BBQs,flew the flag and went to the parade over the weekend. They glanced at the news this morning and depending on what news they watched they saw some coverage of big city insanity or none at all.The conservative news has done many stories about Chicago and the other big cities and will do more..nothing will change.
We are behind enemy lines and those in free America may sympathize with our problems but there is little they can do. We do nothing but beef on this blog, cry that the Feds don't ride in to save us and then re elect the same idiots who have caused this.
You have two choices, One: fortify the house, load guns, stay off the streets and live like a victim. Two: pack up and move to an area outside of a major city.
No ones riding in to save you,the politicians are not going to change anything and it is going to get worse.
I have recently been in Los Angeles,Atlanta and Philly on business, they all are crime ridden shitholes full of either victims or animals. Where would you like the rest of the country to start and why should they ?
My people arrived in Chicago in 1905,I am now in a suburb that borders the city.I have three years left here due to circumstances beyond my control but have purchased property in middle Tennessee and the family shops, eats etc in the burbs, the city is just a memory.
There aint going to be no revolution,it's just going to be the big cities or the rest of the country. The hand writing is on the wall!

Maybe Rahm could stopp doing this, and maybe even close the firehouse that is exclusively for Midway airport! Rahm your also spending well over 300 million on expanding midways gates, and passenger terminal for the "Taxi in the skies" Southwest airlines. From the engines on fire,to people being sucked out the broken windows and dying, then the windshields breaking and now the final nail the famous game let's play the race card:

Southwest Airlines Confronts Cal Women’s Coach Over Infant Son

Bet the settlement will net this woman millions, and free flights for life!!

Agreed. A typical tower ladder goes for 1 mil., gets 2 miles to the gallon, and weighs 15 tons if not more. The streets aren't meant for constant truck traffic of that class, so the streets will begin to crumble especially during summer.

Correct me please. But, didn't one of the riots in the 60's start when a firetruck hit and killed a child around Pulaski and Monroe? It's a lousy idea to expose CFD to the risk of an un-intended bad consequence that would far out way any gain of political theater.

Get over it. The academy is full for thlast year they have been putting in a class of 100 plus a month. Right now the new class of detectives is training at another location because the academy is full. There are over 700 in the academy

Get over a threat to the safety of the public and the officers out there working the street? No matter how many recruits are in the academy right now, we're still shorthanded. Beat cars are down every night in districts that aren't populated by the right race of people. You've been posting this "700 in the academy" nonsense all over the blog like it actually means something. Those 700 aren't helping the manpower issues. By the time each class hits the streets, more and more will have retired. We're not keeping up with attrition, and we're starting at a deficit in the thousands. I assume you're at the academy, so your opinion on manpower and how the shortage affects the people on the streets, is completely worthless. Keep pushing that number and pretending everything is fine though.
