No Days Off For You!
Supposedly, Homan Square units have been told that at least one of their days off will be cancelled from now until the end of the end of the year. This might also be upped to both days off as the JVD trial approaches.

Well it is obvious that the problems are getting worse and the people and folks are becoming bolder and more belligerent! Things are not getting better as, even with evidence, that any reasonable "thinking" person would say is proof, the "POLICE" did their job, the angry mobs and the "STUPID" lawyers continue to rabble rouse the people and folks further. Add in the fact that the two POS news "RAGS" are doing everything in their power to further erode the police and people & folks situation, which we will call the "FIRE"!!! The JVD trial will, no matter what the outcome, give the news "RAGS" more "FUEL FOR THE FIRE"!!!
AT THE SAME TIME NOT ONE ARTICLE OR PEEP FROM THE MSM ABOUT THE MAYOR, SA OFFICE, JUDGES, SHERIFF OR ANY OTHER RESPONSIBLE DEMOC"RAT"!!!

I could see the department doing the Cubs series overreaction when they have an idea of a verdict. Not the entire three-four weeks of 12 hour days and cancelling rdos for patrol
We’ve been working one RDO for the past few weeks. This weekend, like all other holiday weekends, they’ve cancelled both RDOs. We’ll see if they end up making us work 19 days straight again like they did for 4th of July. Right now we’re expecting at least 13 days straight. We’re all tired. Yes OT is nice, but so is being able to spend time with family and friends, as well as being able to take a couple days to relax and unwind. Not sure when we’ll be able to do either of those things again.

Does that include narcotics also? Will they be in uniform?

When people ask me what I do for living, I reply with, I am a father and husband and that keeps me plenty busy. Forced OT is never a good thing.

The way the pre-trial motions have been going, I’m going to assume there will be “celebration” riots within the “community” instead of “protest” riots.
Sure would be nice if they’d let the lowly district patrol guys make some money too. You know “the backbone of the department guys” Hahahaha! Why do all the clouted guys get the OT? What are they really doing anyway? Patrolling? Going to calls? Or sitting in an office for OT?
The department has no plan and that stupid practice deployment meant nothing. One copper from a nothside district wanted to stop and get a sandwich before deploying.

“I’ll never lock anyone up again.” You see, I have been having to handle more and more beefs because o idiots like you. A guy on the watch just took 15 days because he wouldn’t lock up a guy for domestic and having an order of protection... on body cam. The next day she went and made a complaint that he wasn’t arrested. She went into court, the judge was advised of what happened and he considered holdin the officer in contempt for not enforcing the court order... o course it was hot air because h never did. Other way it was a slam dunk and he got hit hard.
Another beef was because a gas station called and wanted a guy locked up for trespass and theft. The owner again on body cam said he wants him arrested and will go to court. Copper doesn’t cut any paper and tells him to get out of here and refused to lock him up.. same exact thing. The owner of the gas station made a beef and watch the body cam and again this other guy gets hammered.
The people who continue to say I’m not doing anything are learning that doin nothing is not the solution because that will get you in trouble if you are dealing with a pain in the ass victim who is motivated... nothing is worse than taking unpaid time for being nothing but LAZY!! Call it what you want but it’s being lazy. Why not just sit on an arrest for 3 or 4 hours and get off the street???? It’s laziness is all it is. It’s signed complaints. Use your head, document and follow the law. If it’s a case where no crime occurred then that’s fine they can beef all they want but when he should legit go to jail just do it!!!! Remember, suspension time gets tacked in the end of your career. If you get 10 days you can’t max out at 29 years and a day.. you now have to wait till 29 and 11 days. Why stick around because of laziness??

ok now the week of the trial and still no word on what they want us to do. everything last minute. cant wait to retire ang get out of chicago.
