Judge Being Held Accountable?

  • A longtime Cook County judge has been referred to anger management counseling and reassigned to administrative duties until further notice.

Judge William Hooks, who has been a criminal courts judge for nearly 10 years, is accused of “acting in such a manner that created a hostile work environment for another judge,” according to a statement Monday evening from Chief Judge Timothy Evans’ office.

The alleged incident or incidents did not occur inside a courtroom, the statement said. Court officials noted that Hooks “expressed contrition” about the matter before the Executive Committee of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

It was not immediately clear who was the other judge involved.
The other reason we don't vote to retain judges is we don't believe there to be a single honest judge on the bench in Cook County. If Operations Greylord and Gambat had been allowed to reach their natural conclusions, there wouldn't have been a judge seated in Cook County for at least five years and the feds might have actually dismantled the Machine once and for all.

Most all of the judges are horrible. I just read on CWBChicago. A "college student" from Jamaica "accidentally" hit and killed a 93 year old lady. It was his horrible driving that did it. Others saw her and yielded. Then after she was wedged under the front left driver’s side tire he began pulling on her leg, so he could leave the scene. When that failed he tried to carjack (take) other motorist's vehicles. That failed too. Sounds like another man of good moral character, glad he is here!

Now what would you expect for a bond for this nice young college man? "Judge Mary Marubio set bail at $10,000 and ordered him to go on electronic monitoring after he posts a 10% deposit bond. Allen is a citizen of Jamaica who's attending college in Chicago, according to his defense attorney." What are the odds he skips back to Jamaica? Of course if he has a rich daddy, and a high-priced lawyer, perhaps it will all just go away and he will get some joke sentence. After all it is Crook County and he is a black man. And his job while going to school, a ride-hail service driver.

Maybe they should have brought in a special prosecutor from Will County like they did for Van Dyke he could have told Claps "This all could have been avoided if he didn't get his fat ass off the bench."

Hooks releases a cop killer and is applauded for "judicial integrity", but he hurts another judges "feelings" and he's excoriated. In another universe that makes perfect sense, I guess.

Some think, with the inclusion of Cook County, Illinois has the most corrupt judicial system in the United States.

They're wrong.

It has to be New Jersey.

This guy is a buffoon on and off the bench. But he never gets sanctioned by chief judge or the JIB because he's black. Maybe it took getting into another judge's face and calling her a 'fucking Italian bitch' to finally push the chief judge and JIB into action.
If I was a white defendant or female defendant I would SOJ him just on those actions. Racist asshole!

Another theory is that, the owner was notified, came to the station and picked up the vehicle without any communication with the desk or officers and drove away in his car. ONLY after receiving notices in the mail about fees, did the owner and his father decide to act as if they never regained custody of the vehicle. Where is the radio transmission? " Hey squad, can you notify the owner"? I still can't figure out how this person saw his vehicle twice in traffic and didn't give the info over to the dispatch. If he did, he would have been in close proximity of his vehicle on that day and time to aid the officers in the recovery of his vehicle. Instead the officers recovered the vehicle on a separate day, on their own by doing a license plate check. Did I get that right?

Judges are lawyers, the same as the hallway trolling, ambulance chasing mouthpieces. Only thing, most are too crazy or lazy or stupid to make a living trolling hallways or chasing ambulances so they have families with clout get them slated and it's usually a lifetime appointment unless they melt down and act true to form.

See that Ald. Burke’s wife is endorsed for retention by the tribune. Burke has to be at least a decade past the normal retirement age, how old
would the honorable jurist, Mrs. Burke be? Term limits! The Chicago retirement plan, leave office by death or indictment.

I posted this message a few days ago under a different article, but it seems more appropriate here:

Here is another reason to vote NO on all judges up for retention:

http://www.illinoiscourts.gov/CircuitCourt/CCStats.asp

That page lists the number of court cases filed from 2012 through 2016. 2012 was the year that the judges seeking retention were last on the ballot, as they are elected to six-year terms.

Look at the trend -- in each category except domestic relations cases are down by thousands, some even down by over 100,000, specifically criminal, civil and quasi-criminal.

Looking at the total cases from 2012 to 2016, with 700,000 fewer cases, we do not need to retain so many judges. Some of those running may be good, but there is no 'justification' for Illinois taxpayers to continue their salaries (and future pension obligations). Please vote no on all of them.

Operation Greylord in federal court prosecution witness Robert Cooley testified that attorney Ed Burke and his wife attorney Ann Burke gave him bribes to give to judges to fix cases. Ed Burke is the most powerful alderman in Chicago and is responsible for filling vacancies for judges. Ann Burke is an Illinois Supreme Court justice. Someone please tell me how the fuck this happens.
