Rahm Screws New Mayor

Rahm is like a virus - a gift that keeps on giving:
  • Rahm Emanuel’s mayoral reign ends in May, but thanks to contracts he’s extended to many key agency heads, whoever replaces Emanuel will be stuck with them for years to come — or pay handsomely for the privilege of making new appointments.

A clean sweep of the heads of the Chicago Park District, City Colleges of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Housing Authority would cost taxpayers at least $820,000 in golden parachute salaries — and more for benefits — in addition to the salaries for the new appointees. That’s according to an analysis of those contracts by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Michael P. Kelly took the helm of Chicago’s parks in 2011, among the first agency heads Emanuel tapped after he was elected. Yet Kelly didn’t sign his first contract with the Park District until December — and it lasts until at least Dec. 31, 2022
Imagine being the new guy or gal and not being able to appoint the heads of your departments without costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars that are in short supply. How does this crap get by the City Council? Oh wait, they're corrupt tools, too.

If you make the Bosses work and have them punch in on a time clock most will quit.

You also replace all their office staff with spies who collect info on the boss with a great contract and just wait till the screw up. NOT that hard...

You then audit every damn thing they sign.

That is why their big city deals and contracts should all expire on the last day of their terms and no sales of city properties without a referendum. Fuck these politicians. They have done nothing to be deserving of our trust.

If that were the case back 10+ years or so ago, we would not be stuck with the meter deal for 75 years.

Someone might say it would be a huge headache or it would keep companies from seeking city deals.

Bullshit. They'll still seek city contracts and I give a fuck if the new mayor gets a headache.

Nothing to see here - just the typical Clout attitude of Chicago.

Changing of the Guard?

FU$K YOU! - my contract isn't up till 2022 - or whatever.

Stop and think before you vote. Daley looked like a sure thing but then the attack ads came out after him with his CEO Bonus at SBC and his not so hot job as Bank President. Will he really deliver? Hmm, maybe to the connected, but not to you?

Chico sounded pretty good but then, if you listen closely to his ad and hear what he says, he is not promising anything more than just more machine politics and rhetoric.

In Chico's Ad - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-ApH9mUiO4

"As Mayor - the Wealthiest will Pay what they owe."

NO GERY, it should be - "The Connected should pay what they owe!"

They can start with all the "Sweetheart" property tax deals the "Connected" have on their properties.

We HAVE to put someone in there who has no connection to/ affinity for/ or who gives a shit about the old boy network! I'll gladly pay the "golden parachute" costs if it sends a message to the jagoff alderscum, that the new guy isn't going to tolerate their crap. Replace every stinking one of his appointees just on general principle. Day 1, call them in and tell them that they are gone in 30, 60 days, whatever, and we will cut the check. Then bring in some forensic accountants and let them tear apart Rahm's budget and the phony TIF funds. Our only hope is Vallas or McCarthy. SCC, Please give an endorsement.

Rahm should be hanged, drawn and quartered in Daley Plaza for all the harm he’s done to this city in 8 yrs. His administration wont’t be remembered for anything good. From countless tax hikes, raised fees, expansion of speed and red light cameras, teacher’s strike, McCarthy and his nonsense compstat crap, closing 021, combining 012/013 and 019/023 (and lying that the manpower wouldn’t diminish), hiding the McDonald video, the Supt search that hired granny after she and the other two picks were passed over for Johnson, and she threatened to sue, taking away the retirees health care and smiling about it, thousands of murders and tens of thousands of people shot, sanctuary city bullshit, hiring more crooked people like Triple B and that guy whose name I can’t remember who had some trouble in Ohio, eliminating 1400 police positions with the stroke of a pen, and then not hiring to keep up with attrition, but always claiming to put his promised “thousand hired” on the streets, CPS school closings, extended days, CPS sex assault scandals, that Brizard guy, his bullshit “code of silence” comment, which seems to be alive and well in the city council, the pension “reforms” that the city tried, only to be told they were against the state constitution, kicking the pension can down the road again, the city’s credit rating in the dumper, all the while borrowing more and more money at higher and higher interest rates, $93mil for bike lanes and screwing up traffic even more so in the loop, Divvy, crumbling infrastructure, carjackings through the roof, lack of police coverage, especially in the “good areas”....and that’s just what I could think of. I bet there’s a lot I missed, but I do know there isn’t much he did that was good. Not one thing comes to mind for that. Rahm, May can’t get here soon enough. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Once he announced he was not running, his ass should have been out of City Hall.

Why? Because he is a slimy, sneaky, lying, shit-stirring, no good politician.

By the time May 2019 rolls around, it will be 9 months since Satan 9.5 made his announcement.

That Cad, Chico, sounds like JB Pritzker.

There is not enough "wealthiest" in the state, let alone the city, to bail out all the bloated salaries, pensions, and connected contracts that have been generated in both the City and Cook County.

Stop spending money you don't have!!!

Now THERE is a plan someone should promote and I would give that person $1,000,000 to run in Chicago. In the long run, he (or she) would not only save me money, they would save all of you money.

I stopped going down to the city and I told Lovey I better not see anything pop up on her American Express Black Centurion Card from ANY store or restaurant in Cook County.

No Howell spends 10% on Sales Taxes. AND no Howell will be paying any Mileage tax on his vehicles either! I pay MORE than my fair share in taxes!

BTW -- good job in exposing that actor and his phony lynching event. I saw some great comments on both Tucker Carlson AND Laura Ingraham on FOX on how the CPD came through with a solid investigation.

GREAT JOB to those nameless detectives. Give those gents some raises!

Coming from a Howell - that says a LOT. Good job in catching the boy who cried Wolf. I am VERY proud of those detectives in the CPD.

Now where are the Felony charges against him for filing a false report?

Getting a person to quit is easy. On day one you tell them they now report to [fill in the blank]. They are then requested to do other assigned duties. Send them to squatter camps and have them clean them out. Have them trap the rats in the old tunnels that flooded a few years ago. Give them a voucher for UBER to go into the community to reach out to the poor youth standing around certain corners wasting away afternoons that could be spent in a job training program. Assign them to a VRI box and tell them not to abandon their posts by just leaving. Make sure they're unarmed, and have seen the de-escalating tape. That afternoon have them sign their resignation letters.
