Jackson, Sr., on Saturday at Rainbow Push Headquarters to address calls for her to resign following her office's decision to drop charges against "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett. "I'm committed to serving my term and should the people have me continuing forward," Foxx said.

On Thursday, the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police and dozens of Cook County police chiefs banded together to announce a "no confidence" vote in Foxx.
They gathered at the FOP headquarters over what they claim is Foxx's mishandling of certain felony case including Foxx's office controversial decision to drop charges against Jussie Smollet over his alleged staged attack.
However, Foxx said she is asking herself "what is this really about". Foxx, who grew up in Cabrini Green and is the first African American woman to serve as Cook County State's Attorney, said she is asking herself "what is this really about." "We get into these positions somehow goal posts change," Foxx said.

You know what's "personal"? Releasing violent felons on minimal bail. Letting shoplifters and carjackers go unless they have multiple convictions or cross some imaginary monetary threshold you made up regardless of existing law. Refusing battery charges - or dropping them for attacking police, sheriffs and corrections officers.
Or standing silently while one of the most overt racists in existence claims a labor organization (which represents thousands of black police officers) is an enemy of their own race and another - with zero sense of historical irony - compares them to the most disreputable organization of southern democrats.

Can't vote for qualified candidates if no qualified candidates are presented to voters for their consideration and vote. Consider whether Preckwinkle's massive defeat (not a single ward won, not even her Hyde Park ward) was demonstration of voters' anger about Foxx's appointment/anointment by Preckwinkle and her subsequent utter failure to competently perform her duties. Likely Foxx was Preckwinkle's most significant political error. Wonder what Foxx has on Preckwinkle? Maybe the repeated extra-special political privileges exercised by Preckwinkle in regard to "failure to convict" judicial accommodations, voiding prosecutions of notable criminal activities and arrests of Preckwinkle's son? Allison Mack is involved in the sex trafficking cult, NXIVM, founded by Keith Ranieree. It was purported to be a “women’s empowerment group.” Not only are they allegedly involved in trafficking women, but involved in child sex trafficking as well as child porn. Others involved include the heiress of the Seagrams brand Clare Bronfman. This cult operates in New York State, and has affiliations with Democratic Presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand and her father. It is rumored the Clinton Foundation may also have ties to this sex trafficking ring.
Although Mack plead guilty to racketeering related charges, she was also charged with child sex trafficking. It has been reported she is cooperating with the Feds and naming names, and thus the child sex trafficking charges are being dropped. You won’t find much main stream news media covering the details of this case, because there is reportedly some very well known political names associated in the cult.
Kim da Fixer had to go running to Operation Push to seek refuge from the political heat placed on her for the corruption of the Jussie Smollett case. Then the other corruption stories started to leak out. When that happened, da Fixer bravely sent out the useful idiot, First Deputy Maggots. I recently retired from the Chicago Police Department. The recent comments made about ‘Empire’ actor Jussie Smollett by U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush and Rev. Jesse Jackson really infuriated me.
Talk about playing the race card!
As a retiree, I am still a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Chicago Lodge 7. Our union has done many good things to help its membership for a very long time. It is senseless to label a labor union an enemy of black people.
The fact that Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx is African-American has nothing to do with the sequence of events that involve the false report by Smollett.
My message to all you community leaders who are making this a race issue is to please be mindful of what you are fueling with your rhetoric. The very same folks you are disrespecting are the ones that have to show up and help when 9-1-1 gets dialed.
