Burke Making Waves?
For a guy facing federal charges, he's acting an awful lot like Harold is still around:
- Mayor-elect Lori Lightfoot on Friday accused Ald. Edward Burke (14th) of attempting to organize the City Council against her and threatened to expose aldermen who dare to conspire with him.
“Any alderman who’s gonna try to align themselves with Ed Burke at this time — we’re gonna make sure that gets very public and exposed . . . I’m going to do everything I can to shine a light on that,” Lightfoot told the Sun-Times.
“They’re gonna have to explain to the public why they’re aligning with him against the voters of this city.”
Burke could not be reached for comment.

"Aligning against the voters..." Only 30 something percent bother to vote, she gets around 384,000, Chicago has 2.7 million people, that means roughly 14% of the residents voted for her, not a mandate by any means. Though, I agree Lerchwinkle would have been even worse, we are still in trouble. Get what you vote for.
I heard a rumor weeks ago that the Feds were investigating Preckwinkle. Has anyone heard more about this?

As far as Prekwinkle investigations, there is one open on the Cook County Department of Homeland Security. People will go to jail on that one.

As a citizen, I and others are happy voters ignored Ald Burnett, Cong Danny "dummies" Davis and their other gang punks who endorsed Tony Liewrinkle. Now to vote those idiots out.
