"Selective" Recruiting

Rumor mill in overdrive:
  • Did anyone realize the city opened up applications for the next test?? The Dept/City opened up applications for only 15 days from 01 Apr - 15 Apr only. They are hitting the MB churches HARD. The theory is that if they only recruit in “certain” neighborhoods then they will flood the pool with the demographic they are looking for. Not one iota of outreach in the white neighborhoods and nothing on TV or radio. They are literally trying to sneak in a class. Be the Change my A$$.
Is there (was there?) a lawsuit against HR for their biased hiring processes that removed military and police-family applicants via undisclosed psychiatric testing that followed no known protocols?

OK, I think this is something getting rid of residency could help. I'm not police, but a city worker who has to live here too. If you think about it the city has spent millions trying to find minorities (from urban areas across the country) who first of all want the job, second, it's been proven ( past exams from all city departments) that they have a hard time finding the numbers that pass all the tests. Written/power/drug etc. All the people I know minorities included just don't want to live in the city. Educated, hard working people who don't want to have to put up with the crime, school, and taxes, and who can blame them. If they want to get more minorities they can really open the pool by getting rid of residency.

Be very very quite, I am hunting rabbits,

What you don’t know or see won’t hurt you,

I would not have expected anything else from city and CPD, to find the best racial candidates for the job?

But are they educated enough or do they have the stamina to do the dirty work of this city?

Or will these candidates become the new Police Department which is deaf dumb and blind to the criminal activity that is
now effecting the city?

Staying Fetal started at the top, remember Emmanuel called it, and then Weiss and McCarthy followed the direction.
Now Eddie is looking to keep his job!

You don’t put an alcoholic in a bar, you don’t put sex offender in a grade school, but here CPD we put the merit promoted money hungry with no command experience in charge?

Every MB church related police person worked the desk, Community Service, Officer Friendly and other non-police functions. The ones connected to the choir worked the beat (traffic control-ie illegal parking) on church days. The cute ones related to big donors. got promoted. Do not expect to see any of them in court.

It has been selective for quite some time. I’ve been a victim of it myself. I got disqualified from the 2010 pool for some made up reason simply because I was in the group that Tracy Ladner considered “not desired”.

Of Course they are using "Subjective" and Selective Recruiting, and I stated this over a year ago, that at some point there is going to be a Major Lawsuit against the CPD Hiring Process. I have heard of and know of some of my former students denied employment, while other clearly less qualified were hired. The "Shitty" never learns, or has no memory. Over 20 years ago there was a major lawsuit over the hiring of police officers, and the lead attorney against the "Shitty" was Anne Burke, who at that time was in private practice. Perhaps if incompetent officials were sued for punitive damages, the way they sue coppers, there would be a reluctance to pull this shit. Baby "G"

Remember Chuck Percy, whose daughter was murdered under suspicious circumstances. He became a US Senator and brought a federal judge to the court, Prentice Marshall, whose tenure on the court began the unraveling of the Chicago Police Department. These types of recruiting tactics remind me of that.

Au contraire mon frère, it’s The oMandate.

Reference – an executive order signed by an undocumented hawaiian United States Commurnity Activist in December 2014. establishing the Task Force on 21st Century Policing, created in response to the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri and hands up, the biggest hoax since police acting stupidly in Cambridge.

Read Pillar One (1.8.1 thru 5) of this bullshit.
If it takes a church or group to find the best applicant, so be it. Just don’t jump over, disregard or ignore any other qualified person based on race, ethnicity or law abiding lifestyles.

I hope President Donald J Trump will one day re-examine the entire policy, the inherent problems associated with its implementation on the entire law and order process and them move to finally Repeal Executive Order 13684.
After all, We are Family too, being treated Unfairly.

I suggest everyone who hasn’t, read or remind yourself, the 21st Century bullshit report and adjust your proactive attitudes.
Police smart, stop trying to impress the merit boss. Ethics and oaths are so passé.
Stay fetal.

To answer your question SCC, yes there was a lawsuit filed against HR and specifically that female director of HR. The lawsuit was filed by non other than Dan Herbert. Unfortunately when the JVD case fell into his inexperienced legal hands, he basically blew off not only THAT suit but also any HR Appeal Board hearings he had in the pipeline. I know because my son was in both. We paid 10k for his representation and when he got the the hearing, as they were walking in the room he turns to my son and says “okay, really quickly remind me of the reason you were denied”. Total case of malpractice.
And before all of you start in on why I would want my son on this job let me say this....GFY. I don’t see you resigning. It’s a simple push of a button.

How can you expect minority candidates to apply to a police department that has been labeled as a racist
corrupt organization. The MSM back in the 90's was counting the number of CPS students shot or killed by the police on a daily
count. You would have thought that the CPD was issued a list of all CPS honor students and told to go out and get them.
After all of the false information and outright lies that the kids have been fed for years why would anyone want to join
such an organization. After all of the years of false narrative, race baiting, and everything else how can you think that
a different outcome will be had in minority recruitment. Democrats have overplayed their hand. Maybe the truth instead
of the politics could have helped. Even the promotion process is corrupt. You think you may have an advantage because
of race, and the need to have more minorities in executive positions ? Not so, minority promotions are filled the same way
no matter what your skin color. A qualified black applicant has no more of an advantage than a qualified white or hispanic
candidate. It's the phone call that counts more than the qualifications. All of us know this to be true.

Portland PD had a consent decree and now they are having staffing shortages.

Making matters worse, due to staffing shortages, Crebs said he’s been forced to rotate his officers out of Traffic to cover patrol duties. “25 percent of my officers’ time is spent at a precinct,” he said yesterday. “So in a sense, I have about 16 officers out-and-about at any given time out there enforcing traffic laws.” In 2012 Crebs oversaw 29 officers — nearly double the amount he has now. And the number of officers looking for bad drivers is actually much lower than 16 because they’re spread out into shifts. “On any given day you only have five or maybe six officers actually working traffic patrol,” said Crebs.

Reminds me of when I took the test in 1980. My dad was CPD. Scored in the top 5% and waited almost three years to get offered the job because of Judge Marshall's ruling. Got hired in the suburbs and stayed - thank God. Son took the last CPD test and saw all the dogs that were testing with him. I pushed him to Indiana where he is very happy and the people actually support the police. Pay and pensions aren't as lucrative, but at least he knows he'll have one when he retires! Plus it's nice going to work and not being despised by most of the people you encounter.
