OT: Made an arrest for felony cannabis in a problematic barber shop on the west side a few days ago. The arrest came a few days after a shooting inside the shop.
Instead of a felony court date, I received a notice not to appear. As it turns out S/A qualifies felony arrest for manufacture / deliver, a candidate for alternative prosecution

Two weeks ago there was another "social gathering " at the North Riverside Mall with the usual suspects involved. Mall had to be closed after all surrounding suburbs sent assistance. Of course, only one arrest which was an adult who jumped on an officer who was getting the guy's daughter to leave. All charges dropped. No consequences to anyone else of course.
Bye bye tourists.
What's an arrest? Can someone tell me? Are arrests made anymore, because it doesn't seem anyone is ever going to be prosecuted by the state attorney for breaking the law?
Maybe a federal investigation would help.

Maybe they're enforcing new rules about no teens w/o supervision. I was out there a few times last year, and was concerned on a couple of occasions due to a couple larger groups of teens. There are some areas in Schaumburg that aren't all that great. Never saw this at Old Orchard--because it's an outdoor mall. Given a choice, I'd rather shop there.
How is that new curfew working out , does city ever collect a $1 from the welfare rats that receive ANOV , Curfew , Red Light Tickets , Parking Tickets
