Great Statistic
- Chicago has a long history of aldermen getting in trouble, and despite decades of attempts at reform, three sitting aldermen are currently serving their constituents while out on bond. A fourth was just booted from City Council and is out awaiting sentencing. And a fifth has been a City Council no-show for months after it was revealed he was flipped by the feds and wore a wire on colleagues after getting busted himself.
- Aldermen Ed Burke (14th) and
- Ricardo Munoz (22nd) are facing various charges in different cases,
- while Ald. Willie Cochran (20th) has been convicted in a federal case and is out awaiting sentencing. He was kicked off the council when he pleaded guilty.
- And Ald. Proco “Joe” Moreno (1st) joined their ranks on Tuesday night when he was arrested. The alderman has been charged with insurance fraud and obstruction of justice and appeared in Bond Court on Wednesday. A judge agreed to release him on his recognizance.
- Meanwhile, Ald. Danny Solis (25th) has acknowledged he’s a federal informant.
And hopefully, a few more are waiting in the wings after Solis and Burke turn State's evidence - looking at you Johnny.

The Aldermen think they are the mob. Remember them crying when one of their own wore a wire. One stated to a news reporter “snitches get stitches “. And he is still an Aldermen, unbelievable!
I pray every day that the Danny Solis federal wire that he wore brings down dozens of corrupt politicians. We all know how corrupt Chicago is and wearing a wire for two years could bear endless fruit. Hopefully justice will be served
Might I offer a suggestion? Any alderman who gets pinched should have their ward eliminated. No need to worry about a re-election campaign, no need to worry about slush funds or other pay. Just consolidate their territory and bam instant savings.

My wife is related has 3 of these assholes from both sides of her family and a 4th relative is in high up federal office, and a 5th quietly slithered his way out of office, and a 6th relative got caught up in some garbage truck stealing money thing about 20 years ago... a long of genetic sludge in her family
Hopefully the other 92% will soon follow? I look forward to a President Donald Trump and Attorney General William Barr led Justice Department.

8% could easily be 50% without breaking a sweat. The only way to cut that in half would be to cut the number of aldermen in half. To much money to be made to turn down besides it's the Chicago way that will go on until Chicago burns to the ground. Wait, we tried that and it didn't stop and a cow got blamed and aldermen got paid during that rebuild just like today. Get out if you can, thats the only way to make it stop.

Will the first female black mayor please cut Alderman positions by 60% and make it a part time position. Issue body cameras , that must be on when they are on the clock . No more than 29 hours a week .

Enforcing all consent decree mandates and taking an axe to our Contract is Job 1.

Chicago SHOULD have only 1 MAYOR and 10 ALDERMEN. There is NO reason to have 50 ALDERMEN. Think of all the money saved by not having 50 thieves!
