Pay Up Juicy
- A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that the lawsuit against actor Jussie Smollett will not be dismissed.
The suit asks that Smollett reimburse the police department the $130,000 spent on investigating his alleged attack, which he asked to be dismissed because he couldn't have known how much time and money was spent on the investigation.
In January, Smollett claimed that he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack in Chicago, but the Chicago Police Department is adamant that there is a mountain of evidence that shows Smollett staged the attack with two brothers he knew.
After nearly 1,900 hours of investigation, Smollett was charged with filing a false report. Those charges were dropped in March, despite claims from Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson that Smollett "took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career."
And the "investigation" into Crimesha's misconduct by her political contributor.....well, the less said about that....

Well yes...the motion to dismiss was a long-shot...but a not-liable verdict is clearly in the works already. Saw Jussie and his entourage laughing it up with fans who are clearly anti-police at the Tao nightclub recently. He was also nominated for a BET award a couple months ago. Once he gets away clear for a second-time and gets his record expunged he will be embraced by Hollywood and the DNC again. Anyone who “punches down”at the CPD gets embraced by the socialist Left unfortunately. Yes, paying the $130,000 would be the logical move, it that were the priority, but it's not. This is now about demonstrating their authority. He is gonna walk into that courtroom multiple times smirking, because his purpose now is to prove to all that they cannot be touched, no matter what you do or say. Agreed. A public confession of everything from A to Z ending with an apology and followed by a check for $130K and a court-ordered 3 year vacation with the state would be the best ending of this sorry saga. Yes, I know, but one can dream.
