Beck Still Here

So the Beck timeline was all messed up by Special Ed's sudden firing. It was supposed to be ninety days, but we located an article that left it open-ended:
  • Johnson plans to announce his retirement at a Thursday morning press conference, sources said. Johnson plans to work through the end of the year and Beck will shadow him during that time, the sources said.

Insiders say Beck would be the interim superintendent through no later than the summer of next year as city officials conduct their search for a permanent replacement for Johnson.
We mention this only because the rumor mill has started buzzing about the new supe being announced shortly.

Summer 2020 does not begin until 20 June 2020.

And, barring a sensational boo-boo on Beck's part or Groot launching him to strike a blazing issue or both, a contract extension from there is not all that inconceivable.

After all, nobody is screaming for his head. But when they do, he is expendable. Might as well hang the summer on him and give the new soup a September start.

If he leaves before the Federal trial of Officers Bogard and Butler will he get paid his inflated hourly rate to come back for depositions and testimony or will the city quickly settle this one?

A copy of the lawsuit is posted here:

https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2020/03/11/man-shot-by-police-in-chicago-subway-sues-city-officers/

According to Roman’s lawsuit, it was Bogard who shot him, and Butler who encouraged Bogard to do so. The lawsuit accuses Bogard of two counts of excessive force and two counts of battery, and Butler of provocation and failure to intervene. The 12-page suit also says the city hired Bogard, even though she’d been arrested in 2015 for assaulting a fast-food restaurant worker.

Rodriguez said Roman has been diagnosed with anxiety disorder, and began suffering a panic attack while riding a Red Line train that day.

“One of the things that helps him cope with that is just being able to walk around, and move, and get some fresh air. So when he felt the panic attack coming, he went ahead and got up, and started walking from the corridor to the other corridor of his train car,” she said.

After moving from one train car to another, Roman was confronted by the two officers, who Rodriguez said began “harassing” him.

“He said he had felt threatened, and he wanted to leave. The train car stopped, and in his mind the encounter ended,” she said.

Rodriguez said, after Roman left the train, Bogard and Butler chased him, and continued harassing him.

“They did not place him under arrest, they did not ask him for his name, they did not ask him to give him a citation,” she said. “Instead, they wrestled him to the ground by grabbing him from behind. They tased him twice, they pepper sprayed him in the face, and then they went ahead and shot him.”

Roman’s attorneys said, while he has acknowledged moving between the cars of a CTA train — which is a violation of city ordinance — he did not commit any crime that would have warranted him being arrested, and was not armed or otherwise a threat to police or anyone else.

The “I am mentally challenged and have a psychiatric defense” to why I was
such an asshole and could not comply with the simple order to stop and listen
to the officers. Of course, maybe his blood test from the hospital might show
multi-chemical ingestion of illegal substances which allowed him to continue
fighting and resisting after pepper-spray and tasing.

Cholly is cleaning up, best easy money he ever made.

SpecialEd is and always been an idiot.
He could have been replaced sooner if the circus or carnival was in town at the time.
LightLoafer can’t pin down a bigger and better willing puppet idiot. Has to be someone spineless enough looking for not more that 3 years, a hefty benefits package, which you think would be easy to find. Ones stickler was having to deal with an indecisive dolt with anger issues is a job killer. Imagine the unpleasant experience at the in-person interview.
And then Granny Clampett came back on the job market.
History will be made.

Geez I thought certain Pixie from Aurora would be announced soon as the new sup. Chicago's Very Own cartoon characters, Pixie (Ziman) and Dixie (Larry).

Is the city paying for Beck's weekend trips back to Commiefornia?

Bring out the next clown. Beck is caught in a web and political shit storm. It is doubtful even the LA Flash in da Pan wants to continue to deal with crazy town politicos and corruptive practices. Thrown in the inexperienced and vindictive Impish Reform Mayor and the shit storm has no end. That being said, there is always room for more stupidity in Chicago.

BTW, The Imp and the Fat Ass Gov will speak this afternoon and share their wisdom on the China virus. Be sure to hang on every word these two "blame gamers" have to say.

K.Z has made a career literally out of speaking bullshit. She hasn't faced real crime-fighting and has no experience of success. She literally spends most of her time promoting herself as if she's some kind of super star chief. CPD is a shit sandwich and she has little to no experience running a big city department. It's only going to get worse with her at the helm.

With regard to the lawsuit by Roman, I just love this part. "This incident is yet another example of the continuing injustice and maltreatment of minority citizens by CPD officers,” the complaint states. Bogard and Butler are both black. Roman is Hispanic. Still gots to play that race card whenever possible. So this scumbag will end up a millionaire.

But they are right about these two being "Untrained, unqualified, inexperienced officers". They reminded me of Laurel and Hardy trying to arrest somebody, up until the time they shot him. Laurel standing there whimpering while Hardy wrestles with the criminal.

Tom Tunney is the vice mayor. Blue shirts would do fine. Multi-merit bosses? Not so much. He’s who embarrassed Cmdr Sam at the budget hearings for lying about crime on the CTA.
