Rush Hospital is conducting a study of First Responders exposed to COVID:

Just wanted to put this out there if you are interested. I'm CFD and don't know a lot of CPD to blast this to but figured that you have quite a bit of reach on your platform.
Dr. Moy at Rush University is doing a free Covid antibody test for CPD and CPD to sample how many first responders have had asymptomatic covid. The sign up and appointment setting is about 10 minutes. The test is a simple blood draw at Rush and takes about 10 minutes. They have arranged free parking with the Valet out front and the testing is right off the lobby. The contact number is 312-942-6554.
This will tell if you already had Covid and give you some piece of mind when you are out on the streets. The Dr. is looking to sample a few hundred more people and specifically asked me to tell CPD because of high CFD participation.
Who knows? If you test positive without symptoms, you might still get fourteen days off.

This is the you already had Chinese Lung Crud test. It measures antibodies. If you have antibodies, then hopefully you cannot get the Wuhan Flu in the future. Also, that means you are not going to accidentally infect your parents or grandparents with the Chinese Communist Coronavirus when you visit them.
Except these tests have both false positives and false negatives. False Positives mean you think you are immune to Chinese Lung Crud, but you are not, and could still catch the Wuhan Flu and maybe spread it to your family and anyone else you are near.
Are we trusting any of this testing now? In the past I was there when they turned away uniformed officers for emergency treatment because they were armed. Are Rush Hospital security and staff still blocking the doorway when they see Police Officers carrying their duty weapons attempting to enter? I have more questions than answers.....
I was taken there once by officers after getting injured working saturation in 011. I injured my arm and knee in a foot chase. I spent 8 hours in the ER getting X-rays with at least 6 “doctors” accusing me of faking my injuries to get on the medical and get out of working. They sent me home with nothing. The next morning a specialist from Rush called me to tell me my arm was fractured and I needed to come in for a cast. I did go back in but basically was ignored by everyone For another 8 hours. Pretty humiliating. Never received any apologies. After my experience, I realized they were a bunch of police haters there. I had never been on the medical nor would they know if I had. I’ve never been treated like that or witnessed any other hospital treat Officers like that in over 20+ years otj. Anything with Rush for a name is bad In Chicago.

To get the free parking is worth the trip! They are the only hospital that I know of that charges you to park in their old and dark garage! The rates start at $10.00 and go up, the longer you are there. You have to ask the clinic/doctors office for a discount card to get a whole $2.00 off!
They even charge their own employees to park!!!

I did the antibody test with Rush this week. Was real quick, less than 5 minutes. I received my results the next day. I was negative.
1.) These COVID antibody tests are pointless and dangerous. Too many false results. Besides if they really wanted CPD patients they could easily notify the dozens of coppers that respond there for calls. Rush has not.
2.) The horror stories how police officers (including ISP) have been treated there is no urban myth. Ask any 12th District copper. Been that way for over 5 years or more. The nurses look at you like s*** but go out of their way to cater to Dude Inc. The doctors go out of their way to mess with injured or sick police and like to order police about like a merit supervisor. The Rush security guards {snicker} are always looking to jam up police as well. The only good news is that Rush is quickly becoming a ghetto hospital, a preferred drop-off point for shooting “victims” and the calls for assaults on staff from “unruly patients” is rising.
Sorry CFD...I know you’re trying to pass along a positive message but hard pass.
If they try to stop you from entering when responding to a job, ignore them or leave. Code the job out as a 19-P. Northwestern has tried this for years. I came on in 1980 and they were trying it then. When they can't get Police service after a few attempts they will learn.

If it's the Abbott test it's only 50% accurate. If it's the Roche test then it's about 99% accurate.

These tests are a waste of time and just another excuse to A) get more money from the feds as the state can claim $40K in "Wuflu" relief money per patient, and B) inflate the number of "positive cases" which the media will use to scare the sheeple and help governor Lard Lad impose more business closures so he can blame Trump for Illinois democommies' financial mismanagement and waste. Don't help perpetuate this shit show any further.

No one cares anymore. I was chastised by a Whole Foods employee for not covering my nose. The liberal SJW lib employees feel so much power to tell a police officer what to do with their body. You can still infect your parents and families, even if you've had it and have antibodies. Think 'glitter'.
You can touch it and carry it to uninfected people. Someone can cough on you and it's on your jacket.
Always behave as if you're currently cantagious (because you might be delivering the infection, even if you don't 'have' the infection).
I went today, they were awesome. In-N-Out in about 20 minutes. I made my appointment 2 weeks ago.
FYI, I was in uniform and armed.
The guards there have revolvers but Cops are supposed to disarm? What kind of crap is that?

I recommend not doing this. It’s data for a leftist agenda. If you want to know whether you have the anti-body, go to your GP. I had it back in May, went to doctor for follow-up in his office. He tested me on the spot.
I agree, someone earlier commented, Rush is quickly becoming a ghetto hospital. It was at one time a premier teaching hospital, but I’ve had crummy interactions and even a few cases there that involved employees as offenders. I used to have my mammogram there annually but the last few times, I’ve noticed a decline in care, etc. It even seemed dirtier in throughout the hospital the last few times.
