I see this photo and it makes me think of the infamous alderman Dorothy Tillman’s comments about south & west side youth who were (and still are) coming downtown to be problem children. (tried and failed to find the audio). Something about those children “don’t have any money”.... “coming downtown and going WINDOW SHOPPIN’!!” Dorothy did have an amazing collection of hats, though.
They can stop the looting by closing and emptying all the stores, they stopped all the statue protesting by removing all the statues.
