If this hasn't happened to you already it probably soon will. My friend is a public school teacher who is working 100% remotely but a few teachers, administrators, and others come into work. A form letter was sent out to everyone who works in the building that someone has come down with COVID.
Due to HIPA laws, they can't release the name or the severity of COVID. It doesn't say you cannot return to the building or anything direct but rather spread the fear or a subliminal "if you are a true democrat, you are obliged to spread fear."
This is the final stage of creating COVID hysteria in Illinois. When an innocent person goes to the hospital for a random illness they are tested for COVID. Doctor or nurse calls you back and tells you that you tested positive for COVID. Now you are in a vulnerable state and thinking crazy thoughts and looking up symptoms of COVID on the internet, and a tracer gives you a call.
They sound official and your thinking well the doctor probably told them to call me to calm me down so I should answer the call and you do. They are nice and calming and you start to divulge who you have been in contact with the past 7 days. They want big settings if possible: work, church schools, - places they can send the form letter to and then the organization sends the burst email/text and now the hysteria begins, rumors fly, and Jelly Belly and Groot are in there Halloween Costumes laughing their answers off.

If there is even an inkling about the history behind the cheater and talks of going after them, just mention it and put Ferguson under investigation then wait for it...

Some of us paid thousands of dollars and spent numerous hours and days studying while working and dealing with family in between. The whole process sucked because while I was honest they had the position already in the bag.
But I guess just excepting that it’s just the Chicago way is the only recourse I have. Been a sergeant for 14 years, Been in numerous Units attended tons of training, love my blue family but have never felt so discouraged about the unfair promotions until the lieutenants test scandal surfaced and to see there’s nothing being done about it is insane because I lived my whole career for this job doing the right thing the right way. If this is how it goes, then I’m ok with that because it doesn’t dictate who I am, I am still one of the good guys.

I did my 29 and a day, my wife and I sent kids to Catholic Schools that required me to work 2 or 3 jobs but living within our means we were comfortable. Was there for most of the kids games and holidays and DIDNT cheat on my wife. The “Steppin’ Out” mindset of this buffoon, I hate to say, is culturally accepted. I’m now late 50’s warm, happy and with loving family. Oh yeah I’m a member of same fraternity and race. Wake up Brothers!

I thought I had a good marriage, that is until my wife decided that she wanted to be the police. One year into her job and she stopped coming home after work. She started out by calling me and asking me if it was OK to stop for a drink with her workers. Then she stopped calling. Then Sometimes not coming home until morning ( working until 9 PM tact team). Anyway, to make a lone story short, I found out about her numerous affairs, three that did did find out about. I left her and she went on to marry another cop. I stayed home to watch the kids all of those years. Glad that is all behind me. Way too much of that going on.
